Severe Depression

I started getting into essentials oils not too long ago

I like to take a hot bath with Epsom salts, and stir in some essential oils.

Some good ones for low moods are ylang ylang, jasmine, neroli, bergamot
patchouli is nice too

You can also use them in a diffuser

One I like very much is marjoram, it has a good effect on anxiety, on the heart
it calms down the nerves

it's odor has a way of calming my mind, when I smell it, it sorta sends a signal to my mind* to relax.

Lef that's some good info. will have to try marjoram. sometimes I get an agitated edge when depressed and hot baths and sauna have been a main stay for many years. for some years went to a monthly Indian sweat and it's no comparison to a sauna in the intensity and effect afterward. regular exercise something like 3x week walk or jog til hearrate is over 100 helped me.

Going through an intense depressive episode right now. I wanted to bump this. No medicine for the near future. Just riding it out. Just want to encourage others who may be going through depression right now. You are not alone. It blows, but we all will get through it.

Just make it one more minute.

This is the place to vent!!!!

Also, Monsanto wants to monopolize MMJ in USA.

Just say NO to Monsanto!!!!!

^the artificial sunlight lamps. Seems like it may help me.

I notice myself go through mood changes, towards depression when the sun goes away. I am diagnosed hypo-bipolar myself and am currently working on holistic ways to battle/conquer it.

I am a snowboarder so I have mixed feelings about the winter, but I do definitely get lonely..

Ohhhh I understand. I always heard just going out in the winter day light was way more effective than using the lamp for a recommended 20 min a day.

When you are feeling off and then go snow boarding do you feel better?

Thanks

the one universal remedy to depression is exercise!

it may not fix everything but it will make a great deal of difference.

martial arts is something I always recommend for people. Heals the mind, body, and soul. It helps you find yourself.

i had an Northern Lights Sun Box from Alaska that I tried using for a couple years to help supplement UV rays since I live in the PNW. it didn't really help, I found the tanning bed helped more . I wasn't going for the tan, just the uv rays.. but then I ended up getting skin Ca. I just cancelled my gym membership today. I cant stand going to that gym. anymore The women are all super fat and don't even try to break a sweat on the machines, they just go soo slow its pathetic.. so why are they even there?its sooo depressing.
The guys are all buff and totally ripped and the always stare at me undressing me with their eyes. Its sooo totally creepy. and its always crowded except in the dark movie room with the elipticals, bikes and treadmills...where I hide , work my ass off then get the fuck out of there ASAP!! lol....and realize its just so pathetic...
BUT I do plan on focusing on working out on my own at my house.
and yeah beanz, I would love to start a daily art classs. that would be so cool. I have been pretending one at home the last couple days so its funny you mention it.
Martial arts sounds cool but I think with my arthritis and joint problems it might not be a good idea.

Cannabis helps with cancer and def has medical value, tons of it.

My friends dad was the only cancer patient his doctor had ever seen gain weight while undergoing chemotherapy. All thanks to eating and smoking medical marijuana!

While it won't help everyone recover it will help most people eat and sleep, which stops the wasting away problem that most cancer patients go through.

As far as depression- taking a break from smoking and drinking really helped me along with a little regular exercise -

yes tried fish oil, My shrink in Tucson gave me a mood enhancing concotion that included a heavy dose of Fish Oil... didn't really notice much. difference really. haven't tried Borax..
I just started on cats Claw, so see what that does. My knee is popping out of its socket for some reason when im working on my plants ... moving them around in and out of the tent.., watering them Im kneeling and moving in twisty positions and my left knee just moves right out of the socket joint its so fuking scary and a bit painful, I started wearing a knee brace.
I have been working in Oncology for the past 10 years and don't see many patients taking advantage of medical marijuana. its still so taboo to the older generation . There needs to be a Medical Mj dispensary in these Cancer Centers for fucks sake. We live in such an uprogressive backwards society it erks me.

Dat one of my knees pops out as well and grates most of the time otherwise. I initially started borax to detox fluoride and was surprised at the anti-arthritis effect. Upon mentioning it on the link I posted found out that is common effect of supp. with borax, it also increases libido. I mean very noticeable increased libido.

Think your correct it is taboo among older folks and that is a shame since they can benefit the most from it's use.

Dat Think you funny as well. There are many ways to get borax. Pharmaceutical grade which I do think is expensive or grab a box of 20 mule team borax, get the unscented in the laundry section. What's in it is borax. On that link there is much info about what kind and where to find it. A couple of old posters there recommended 20 MT as it is pure borax, think lists on the box 99% pure and at $5 a box it's what I use.

The anecdotal accounts go back to when miners started mining it in Utah back in the 1800's. Goes something like the miners inhaled the dust to the tune of about 30 mg a day they think and the wives were very pleased. ;)

I may have taken it for a week before feeling like I was a horny teenager again. Now I'm in my 60's and last few years had many health problems and no libido. So, waking up every day now with my "morning glory" again was surprising. Works the same for women as men.

There is no down side to supp with borax. Very hard to od I took 1/4 tsp 2xday for the first 6 months then dropped to 1xday. Borax doesn't exchange or deplete any other minerals or elements in the body like most things do. Threw a pinch of it in each pot last grow, it's well know it is good for regular type plants they seem to love it. Hell i got over 16 ounces off three plants on my last indoor grow. Of course, I'm so new to growing can't tell exactly what I did that produced such a dried yield weight.

Cracked 5 sour bubble two days ago and after reading more here decided to crack 5 more. Hoping for 5 females which I could do I think in my 4x4x7 grow closet under 4x8 vho T5,s and 1k hps flower lamp.

I know so many people at the borax forum that swear by it why don't you just try 1/4 tsp in half cup warm water daily for one or two weeks. I throw 1/4 tsp power vit c in with it and many just use some kind of juice to mask the taste. By itself it doesn't taste bad but damn strange if not use to it.

Hi everyone.i look in here now and then because i once suffered from depression.
I got hooked on booze while serving as an infantry soldier.Damn shit nearly ruined my life.
Anyway,if you go to the doc with depression ,they will give you pills.
However.Depression is the symptom of an underlying illness.Mine was alchololism.
Pill have side effects worse than the illness. My friend committed suicide on Prozac.
I read that one side effect of Prozac is suicidal tendency.WTF.

IMO.pot is the best antidote for depression. However, you need to wok out the real cause of the depression.talking is better than antidepressants.

GET HAPPY PEOPLE.
