My aisles are 18-20 not too wide but wide enough so I can work fairly comfortably even with that they get pretty good side lighting I'm going to run side trellis this round...the 3 gravitas yield what 4 how's would imo I'm drying now I'll know more when I have a total

My question about the Gavitas, and warehouse lighting in general: It seems the lights are a good distance from the plants. Doesn't the increase in distance of light source to plants decrease the intensity of the light considerably, as compared to a residential grow where you don't have 15-20 foot ceilings, and lights are much closer? Any residential grows I have done, the lights are placed as close to the canopy as possible.

So then light spacing between isles is 66" to 68" ish? Awesome set up bro, hope you slay it!!
yea i looked today but forgot to measure, really busy resetting room and trimming, ill check it for you tomorrow but 2 to 2.5 feet in from either end is fine, trimmed this today came out really nice its gg4..i still have another room in there to finish building, its 15 lights a little smaller

retro, sup man, optimal height for gavitas is 10 ft, have u seen them run in person? theyre a really powerful light its not neccessary to slam them down on the plant they get good penetration you just need to open your canopy up..i lollipop everything so deep light penetration isnt an issue..i know what youre saying with hps bulbs i always slammed it low too, just not neccessary with gavitas

Hey Sureshot66, how did you do. Average per 1k? if you don't mind answering. Also just wanted to bump the thread to keep it going.

Just spent two weeks trimming glue cookies and OG with a couple cookie OG hybrids. I always hand trim but it is getting old.

Sure shot, I saw you machine trim but your pics look like you have most your trichs intact. What are your thoughts on machine and hand trimming if you don't mind the question?

I am just tired of dry trimming for quality and having to a look at my bros for two three weeks.

i dry trim, wet trimming sucks..the machines i used were both dry trimmers, they didnt fuck up trichs...we would run it thru the machine then the human trimmers would touch it up...took 2 to 2.5 to touch up a pound...so i payed half as much to my trimmers, my clientele was getting the work faster, it saved a ton of time and $ without sacrificing quality

I think one of the ideas behind Gavitas being placed higher is because they design your lighting footprint for uniform lighting across the canopy. If you put them close to the plant, you're definitely going to get hot spots.

Ive been eyeballing that greenbros machine for a minute. I wish someone near me rented it so I could try before I buy. Your the first person I've actually talked to that used one. Glad it does the job. What is your overall impression of it? Was it the commercial or regular? everything still hand finished? did it knock of the tricombs? As always man thanks for trail blazing!

yo mang its awesome na it doesnt fuck up the tricomes, i still had trimmers trim it after but it took half as long so they earned half as much...i used the smaller one, where are u located?

Ya man that's insane, I would just like to be able to hire half the squad and keep their hours good. Get rid of the slackers and keep the spot on lock. Still trapped in So Cal, seems like any place that rents trimmers down here only has the mean green trim machine, which although worked it wasn't what I was hoping for.. Thanks for keeping the thread rolling with all your trials and tribulations, Im really considering trying out some coco beds after reading all this.

i watched a video of that thing. i think people handle the buds just as much if not more than that machine does. i could almost trim everything by myself...

I wanted to post and let you guys know that the ultra trimmer will cut 10-14 lbs with 0 tric destruction in about an hour with 2 people manning it. Its a bed of blades not a shitty tumbler machine. Check it out. Also as LEDs get better im starting to notice a lot of people switching thier warehouse grows to Spydr and Promax grow and hitting 2-2.5 per light off or 250-600 watts. Im thinking of switching my 98 Gavitas out for LEDs. Anyone have exp with warehouse grows and LEDs? Any tips? I got a 32-24-32-10 light setup and would love to knock out the electrical cost of 27 tons of ac dehumidifiers and 98,000 watts consumed per hour. Any thoughts? I do this with 1 other person during wekks 2-3 of the month but i bring in a team of 4 guys to help repot, tear down and clean during week 1 and 4 while i run biz as usual. All coco beds. MBFerts will save you so much money on nutes. it cost me less then 2500 a month for nutes to run a whole months worth of feeding.
