Hi temp shut off's, float valves and roller stools. Also if you u have trimmers use them to do the empty out/tp when they're sick of sitting.

I only worked at one that was trying to go full legal/commercial and we had wcb come through, was pretty funny trying to explain that we where volunteers by donation(know your laws) but sure was glad we had eye rinse stations, spray locker, gloves and suits for room ect.

Biggest thing is getting a experienced grower to help the build, the guy I worked for over payed a ton for stupid stuff that no grower would do.
But he was an ass hat so I'm kind of glad, I hate self sabatoger/ poor me control freaks!

Anyone else have experience with the Ultra Trimmer? Seeing very good things in my limited research.

The noise, with the constant banging like a co2 extraction unit, might be a lot to take over time, but if this unit works as well as advertised it could be a game changer.

Was literally about to pull the trigger on Monday with two Green Broz till I saw this post.

Man I'm in big trouble then. I have 24 dimlux de lights(similar to gavita) with 8'4" ceilings.
Still building and veging. What should I plan for a finished canopy?

light rail 5 will feather those hot spots in low clearance situations. run the taller strains in between rows pseudo-vertical...

So u guys think 4 feet from canopy is too close? Already planned on scrog. I could keep ladies under four feet from floor.

If seen a guy mod his light rail so two fixtures ran parallel along side of the rail rather than below it. I dunno how he did it. Ceiling was like yours and he still got bleaching.

Or is the answer to this question: "There are places but they have windows when the lotto opens up to win a license"? Seems like there are some places but you have to be a resident for 2+ years first....

Second Question, do you pay the trimmers in product or cash or a combination of both?

Any resident of Colorado (definition of resident is 2yrs occupancy) can purchase a dispensary license for ~5-8k, depending on type ie. MMC/OPC/MIP. Next you must find a mj zoned location to operate out of. Therein lies the hard part, zoned locations/facilities are selling/renting for 4x normal asking price. Once inspected and approved, you operate like any other business. You wouldn't pay a baker in bread.
 
I hear California is a good place to get in and still get decent prices and be able to sell your "excess" to dispensaries legally without getting licensed.

My opinion of the greenbros trimmer...

IF your nugs are the indica golf ball super dense type, it's great for your situation and will save you a lot of time and money.
My trimmers took maybe 1.5-2 hrs to clean up a unit from the crowsfeet and random leaf..

if the strain you are growing is sativa or has weird structure that isn't the golf ball indica, the greenbroz is fucking worthless, it took all my trimmers the same time to trim a unit as usual, and I had to pay to rent the trimmer and put someone on it. So I ended up paying a LOT more for renting the machine+going back over it versus just hand trimming.

Jacks or JR peters fertilizers are great if you aren't trying to pay extra for a cool label, for soil you use their 20-20-20 thru veg and week 3 of flower, then switch to the bloom booster 10-30-20 for the rest of flower. for coco and hydro you use the jacks pro hydro and cal nit (bloom booster optional) but I think that was in the first post of this thread!

get your pots off the concrete slab! can't emphasize this enough!

isles cost thousands of dollars, keep that in mind always. Look at DJM's coco grows, that guy goes wall to wall and ties the screens together down the middle with twist ties @ 3' intervals and goes through and unties and reties a spot if he needs to work there... atleast that's what I gathered and started doing.
It's a lot more work than having isles, but you get a lot more product... so that part is up to you!

DE setups are the shit, I like to do 5x4 footprint with them. The nanolux is a little less money than the gavita and actually burns brighter at 1215 watts. You can get a complete fixture (hood ballast bulb) for about 400 versus 500 for the gavita. supposedly next year they are coming out with a few more hood styles that you can switch out really easy, instead of the small one it comes with.

Avid is some nasty stuff, but will clear your mites up for good with just a couple applications.
same thing with Eagle20 and powdery mildew. Do not use these in flower!

an easier way to do that is with rolling greenhouse tables, they add 25-35 more canopy space but still u allow a walkway to do work

Just doesn't make sense to me in that the tables are only 4 ft wide, again just lighting up the isles .


The tables may be 4' wide but that doesn't mean the top of the canopy has to be 4'. Mine canopy screen is 5'6" and the pvc legs that supports it sit inside my 4' table.

In what world are licenses $5-8K?

The secondary market licenses in the city of Denver are $150,000 - $200,000 for MMC, $200,000 - $300,000 for OPC, and $300,000 - $400,000 for MIP. There is a moratorium on new licensees coming to market - hence the necessity to purchase on the secondary market.

If you're talking about starting up in the middle of nowhere (essentially anywhere in CO other than Denver, because good luck getting approved in a ritzy mountain town), your $5-8K would be better spent building out a home grow. If you find a license for that cheap, there is a reason and its probably because there is no population to support the business. Also - obtaining a license is the easiest part of the equation. You still need the building to be CO'd, hire employees, build a retail storefront, purchase product (or vertically ingrate with your own grow), purchase insurance, etc. Minimum you're talking $1,000,000 to open a small store with an even smaller grow.

Yes, the state has put a hold/limit on some licensing until sometime later this year (specifically MIPs).
I feel most people on the forum are educated enough to know the expenses that come along with building out a grow.. sure minimum ~100k is a fair rough guestimate.
