ya that hose sucks on a pump but you know what? if u plug it into a spigot the thing just WEEEEEEPS so proper... i tried it tonight and was happy w it, not as consistent as it could be but acceptable and way way way better than it was on the pump(s).

this is some of the coolest shit Ive seen around here in a while miles

when I first started lurking I was wondering how this layout would work and its kickin ass from the look of those healthy plants

thanks waxi, i have high hopes for this setup and this round - keeping this big soil bed consistently wet by hand is proving more difficult than thought, but i didn't think i would be doing it by hand

^^^ in addition to these im popping some sour dubb x catpiss moontang, white valley royal kush x catpiss moontang, "monkey paw" which im told is similar to deep chunk or is deep chunk (not sure), and maybe some lime cookies bubba x sour bubble

also we have been hosting some sheep out here on the property:
picture.php

^ they eat down everything left in the field that is leafy not stalky (altho they ate all the corn stalks, but left many other stalks), and leave loads of manure
total of nearly a thousand sheep took our field down to a stubble in only a couple days

Tom Hills Deep Chunk was originally called Monkey Balls in the F1.

S33dF!nd3r didn't have a monkey paw entry.

yeah i havent tried a gilmore hose on a spigot but the dramm/miracle gro style also working good on my winter greens beds. still feel bad about that but like you see, they do work at first/a little. you might have noticed im leaning towards driplines. think i might try a few sprinklers first then go to open ended drip lines if im still not happy.

whatchu use for that

been spraying my DIY green cleaner: one gallon of water, 1 oz dr bronners "sals suds" soap, 1 oz 99% iso alcohol, 1oz oil (ive been using up a couple bottles of "horticultural oil" but you can use essential oils, canola oil, neem oil or any oil) i like the horticultural oil because it is made to dillute into water easily.
EDIT if you use essential oils use much less than one ounce

in veg out in the barn i have a couple hot shot no pest strips... temporary

I love to use essesential oils. Eucalyptus, cinnamon, geranium, clove, pepermint, arborvite, and rosemary oils. My spouse sells them. Works wonders

That's fuckin crazy bro haha! You're a badass

Were you able to reach the ones in the middle to clean them out?

Everything is looking super healthy and stacked! :dance013:

I've given up on buying expensive "horticultural oils" to spray on my plants. I started using canola oil (from the grocery store), I'm sure some brands may be better quality then others. I started trying the canola oil as a substitute to using SM-90. The SM-90 has Sulfur in it and doesn't play well with neem oil mixed into it when sprayed on plants. With the Canola oil I can mix neem oil into the solution. Making my own spray that I know is organic in nature is important to me, I don't think the SM-90 would be something I'd call really organic as there are other chemicals that they add in.

I have found that spraying the plants with cold soapy water can kill some mites but not all. The cold water also slows the bugs down, it's like jumping into a cold pool of water. Then I spray the canola oil and canola oil, plus the neem oil mixed solution onto to plants. But I warm the solution/bottle in hot tap water before I spray it on.

Colder air temps can also slow mites down or even stop them from advancing.
