I was once told that I'm an old ass man trapped in a young man's body. Even my wife says it "god your like an old man", lol. Prop's to you Avi. Garden looks great and so does your outside work. I know how much work your putting in. I once took care of a 20-30 acre vegetable farm with just me and one other guy doing 90% of the work. It's a great feeling though once stuff starts getting harvested. You get to see the results of all the back breaking labor put in.

thanks dtog
seems like after this year things will get easier, breaking ground and establishing grow spaces from pasture is tough.
can't wait to start planting hemp...
but for now we are putting in some tomatoes in the field; watering them in with a hose since the ag water is off

both my workers are gone, was good while it lasted. one went back home the other one met a rainbow girl and they are camped out in the mtns now - he still comes around one or 2 times a week to work and help out.
so far so good with the farm help

Damn miles sucks the help split. If I didn't have a family I would come help out. I love Colorado, definitely God's country.

it's actually great to have the place to ourselves again, and we got ALOT done with the helpers while they were here: holes & trenches dug, soil mixed and moved, animals taken care of and baby plants cared for, big room (had kiddie pools in it) emptied out entirely, mowing, maintenance, and more
also we had family out here for nearly 6 weeks straight (first my fam, then hers)
like i said it's nice to have the place to ourselves for a while

planting is going to be a big job next week, but supposedly we have a small crew coming with our hemp clones to help get them in the ground.

still wana crack the shell on some kind of agri-tourism/educational thing i can do a couple times per year to make some extra scratch, show peeps what we do and how we do it, and anything else that makes it worth doing, but not in any hurry to make it happen i just take things one day at time as best i can

I feel you friends and family are great, but it can get overwhelming when you have to much of it. I always feel like I have to entertain everyone while they are here.
I have read that they are cutting down the plant numbersin Colorado . Are you worried about that?

there are avenues around it that i'm looking into.... not sure if i should go into detail in public forum about it... suffice to say anyone in colorado who IS worried about the changes coming in colorado state law for 2018 should PM me

I kinda figured, I have had friends get caught with 10 -12 lights over a hundred plants. The police said it wasn't very good and left. I had a friend who was stealing power and nothing happened but a bill for 9000.

i didn't mean to say that there is lax enforcement in co, or shit is that smooth out here (stealing pwer would be a big deal i imagine), just to say that there is usually a loophole to jump thru.
peeps who have read my past threads know i've had my run ins with CO LEOs and have dealt w the repercussions of being out of compliance

i try to protect my mental state from the actions of politicians....

I feel ya, California is pretty wide open for now. That might change come 2018. I built my weed shed to have exactly 100 sq ft. Which is the limit for now. Once the wife gets her degree finished, I am leaving this state in the dust, not even going to look in the rearview mirror. I would like to play with a few outdoor plants, enough to keep me in good smoke so hopefully I can find a medical state where I can grow a few.I am thinking Alaska or Maine. I love Colorado, but it's a little to liberal for me . my kids are getting old enough to notice things and I want to get out of the game. It's not as much fun as it used to be. I turned 38 today, to old for the stress. I am one lost crop away from being homeless, not so good

seems like maine would be MORE liberal that CO?
do people think co is liberal because of legal weed, or boulder, or what?
where im at in co is SUPER red.... like cowboys and rednecks rule the world out here - not for long tho. the guy who runs my local(ish) grow store ran for county commissioner (as a dem because ALL the incumbents are republicans), he didn't win but will run again next time with more momentum and following

My wife keeps talking about Texas, but I am not going to Texas. TEXAS will be the last state to legalize. I would love to go to Colorado, but the wife has family there , she doesn't want to be that close to them.

Once you get out of Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins the rest of the state is red as fuck. Just like Miles said, straight up cowboys, ranchers, you name it. Open carry state too where plenty of people take advantage of it. :2cents:

I like the open carry, I lived in az for 5 years. Took a little getting used to coming from California. Worst time of my life just made me hate the desert even more. I have a theory that the heat in the desert makes women go nuts.lol more nuts than normal.

I'm the opposite, I find myself getting drawn more and more to the desert recently. Both my girl and I too. I haven't lived there though and have only gone on trips though so that probably has a lot to do with it.

hard to really generalize any place like that, im from NC originally, a state that imo is the poster child for reactionary, backwards, ignorant, intolerant and racist... BUT im from a town in NC that is known for being SUPER liberal (revolutionary even), tolerant, artsy, accepting...
makes the dichotomy between boulder and the red parts of this state look like nothing

got my supplies today for the new soil downstairs, also got a bunch of garden hose irrigation equipment (500 ft of hose, buncha connectors/splitters, gaskets, a few different sprinklers) to use in the field when the ag water is off, especially for tender transplants in the hot june sun.... possibly even use into july and thru the season, will use as needed, so far everything we have put out into the field is looking great; none of the calendula seeds have come up and neither has much of the yarrow (transplanted root stock of living plants), but i keep watering and waiting... patiently.

continued to trim and thin the big glue and some of the "kush bed"
