i do dig the "100 black coffins" track from Django Unchained https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hg-CSX3i6nk
also a fan of this track "Devil is a Lie" where rick ross just gets his name on the song but JayZ really shines on the 3rd verse imo....

I like the Devil is a lie vide.
going bananas up in here avi! im so proud of myself for prepping some homestead sized plots and your over here building a farm with dump trucks...
^^ yeah no kidding...
so will 20 yards fit in a standard 8ft pickup bed? i bet the inside of your burban is effed in the eh
I've been doing the soil transport shuffle this week too. I'm not sure on the weight of pumice, but a tote (2 yards, 54 cubic ft) is 2,900 lbs if it is forest humus.
When I haul topsoil in my 8 ft bed, 2 yards is probably too much, even though it fits. For sure more than the truck is rated for. Look like the Beverly Hillbillies going down the road with too much weight.
14$ for forty, and 15$ for fifty lbs here on the wheat bran. I made 260 lbs worth that is almost 30 days old now. I like the idea that it can be dried and stored, but plan to use it before it's dry.
Pumice does seem pretty light, but I left a yard outside for a couple months and it put on some water weight. Ended up hauling it in the truck to a creek and rinsed it because I read it can have accumulated salts, not sure if it did or not. Should have rinsed some into a bucket and checked EC probably looking back to save the rinse job.
Avi- where did you find your wolstinite, or however that is spelled. Best I've found is 59$ per 50 lbs of the finer type, picked up semi locally from an industrial chemical company. I would think a ceramic supply place that was big enough would have a better deal, but no luck so far.
Seems to come from back east and the Midwest so it's all shipping because it's 9-12$ per 50lb there.
custom hydro nutrients and buildasoil both sell vansil wollastonite, i think. the super fine stuff
can't recall the price of it off hand, not too expensive tho
ya kashi is nice and versatile like that, some people thing you NEED to dry it...
ime fresh is best, if i need more later i'll make more later after i use up what i got
that kashi liquid you are trying to dry out is full of living microbes, i figure why put it to sleep (by drying out) just to wake back up (get wet again)?
Yeah, I saw custom hydro and build a soil had wollastinite, trying to get around the high shipping costs. For 50lbs custom charges 12$ for product and 59$ shipping, buildasoil is 28 product, 28$ shipping, which is the same if I pick it up here.
28$ for 50lbs shipping is okay I guess, but Peaceful Valley for instance has FedEx ground 40 lbs shipping for 14$, seems like any vendor could get that deal. They probably do and mark up shipping.
Hate overpaying for stuff but $ rant over.
I'd agree on the bokash being better fresh/ wetter, it seems like drying it makes it more marketable and easier to handle when bagging for retail sales. Seems like it would clump up eventually and not be as easy to distribute, but maybe not. Nothing a little screening wouldn't fix by sifting.
