Dude. Make a still....please. I need to live vicariously through that. Not a pot still either unless you want to be making corn liquor. Reflux still. I have so many projects I want to be doing but am holding out till I have my own place.

You're always on to bigger and bigger things man, props to you. I only just recently started hearing about this ?acronym? terpene extract stuff. Do you have any more info on the process or sources? Maybe make a thread?

whatchoo talking 'bout whodatis?
reflux still.... yer basically talking about just making a booze still? tall narrow container for the mash instead of a big round one?
we were using the "weed still" (fractional distillation) to make shine but it was dreadfully slow, was also dealing with inferior mash at the time, have some more brewing now and will be making more hooch sometime this spring im sure

Yeah, it's always interesting/ motivating to see what your up to Avi, how is your water quality where you are? I'm lucky enough to be getting irrigation water this year, it's better than my well water and a lot more of it. Multiple drought years have concentrated what little water there is in our 400ft deep well, (3rd one drilled) and chloride is at 388ppm.

Was curious how long you let your bokashi go before using it, and have you tried making activated EM yet? The AEM seems pretty straightforward once you create a light bulb box or cooler like Microbeman created. Got a few gallons going, had an extra thermostat with probe for heat mats that turns off the light when it exceeds 100 degrees.

i make aem from my terraganix em1 i put it in a warm room like veg or in the furnace room
70-80 seems to work fine, im sure 90 would be quicker, i make plenty so there shouldn't b a hurry

when i make kashi i let it sit at least 3 weeks, last batch was just outside, got warm in the sun each day but usually i put it in a warm room also

as for the quality of the irrigation water i can't say for sure yet, didn't have it tested last year, but also used the hell out of it and didn't have any real issues last year, but def will get a water test this year just to see, also will check ph and possibly rig up a dripper to drip in 30% vinegar to adjust pH of ditch water if needed
i do know that all the fields up-ditch of for about a mile are organic cow fields, so at least i have less to worry about in terms of runoff in that regard

* if you build it they will make booze with it *

tonite i sprayed the "bloom version" of our home-made green cleaner
basically just 1 oz dr bronners "sals suds" cleaner per 2 gallons and 2 oz iso per 2 gallons
in bloom i leave out the oils that are used in veg

still working trenchs, but started on the digging the ganja holes and started doing raised beds for veggies as well

ordered some vansil - been wanting to use calcium sillicate / wollastonite for some time now
still sourcing bulk materials for soil mix; biggest issue is hauling. bought a cheap trailer for hauling and realized it has no VIN# and can't be registered till it does
so i'm using the trailer only on the property for hauling stones for the raised beds
but that leaves me still shit out of luck for getting these 5-6 yards of pumice to my place from the soil yard that is 45 miles away

u know that's too easy for a super-cheap bastard like me, i gotta get it on the low, can't be paying freight like a regular joker :D

i checked and the cost of the truck would be the nearly more than the value of what i'm having hauled - nearly 300 for the 10-12 yard truck.
looking for a lil help from some friends in that area; couple/few loads in a pickup will take more time but be cheaper - hopefully can pull it off

bought a bunch of "buck slab" wood today, going to use them to cover the irrigation ditches so that we can walk over them (not slip in and get wet/muddy feet) and reduce evaporation from the ditch as well.
probably cover the wood with some hay/mulch

Craigslist. You might even be able to coordinate with somebody who makes that drive often enough if you aren't in a hurry. Just a thought

Hey Avinash,

I think this is my first post in your thread, but I read it daily, big lurker here. This post ...<geez> what a killer canopy and a great clean up of the lowers. This is some serious growing, big props. I bet you got a bit dirty doing that...lol, kiddie pool and all. Not a big poster but you deserve credit for those shots....k+

I can't wait to see how this run turns out. I know it will be good. I'm hoping for spectacular.

peace joe :tiphat:

you can use any solvent OR second solvent
meaning you could take some super dank bho from a dispensary, dissolve it into ethanol (ive been getting 200 proof gallons for about 90$ locally) winterize if needed, then purge the solvent off about 3/4 of the way or a little bit more and seal in a jar
separation / precipitation happens slowly over time

i am gunning for this now. seemed like a fun thing to stack on top of all the other stuff going on.

going bananas up in here avi! im so proud of myself for prepping some homestead sized plots and your over here building a farm with dump trucks...
