Both of them seem to be coming back nicely. Tonight they just got water. Back to feeding tomorrow.

Your plants are pretty mature and don't seem to be stretching too much.

I think you over pruned a bit, the gaps in the screen shouldn't be so visible. The lower growth would Stretch into the screen so you should of left everything at hte screen level and not lolipopped as intense. Its fine, you'll get some seriously fat nuggets lol but I can't tell from your pictures if the plants are stretching, the screen looks like it is being pushed up so I'll assume yes.

Also for training into a screen, you want to interweave the plant into the screen so that there are node sites for each square. I think you jumped ship too soon.

If you have instagram follow me at the_real_cannafornia and you can see my screens and how I grow.

I don't really post much here anymore, ICMAG is all political and full of old trolls.

you have space for more plants. I would put some more into the gaps on the screen if you don't mind working over them later to harvest the girls in the back.

Did you look at other gardens for reference to pruning and lolipopping?

It did stretch to some extent over the past few weeks. One problem I ran into is the JHxPB on the left side got super bushy under the screen. It was pushing the screen up in the middle, kind of like a Jiffy Pop popcorn looks when you pop them. I really wanted the screen to be a bit lower because the main stem on both plants was growing horizontally.

I was trying to get a node into each hole in the screen, but with the screen pushed up in the middle I was stuck. Believe it or not, I do have have about 40 'tops' above the screen on the GG. In the back I was able to get a few branches that have multiple node sites in their own holes. Not too many, but there are some, lol.

I'll have to check you out on Instagram, I want to see the frames you use for your screens. I wish I had more plants ready. I've got some seedlings going, but they are still a few weeks from starting to veg.

I did check out a few other gardens and tutorials. I did get a bit carried away with the last pruning session. Part of that may have been me not being 100% sure what I was doing and not understanding what I was seeing in other gardens.

I think I would have had better results using a different screen material with a frame and either just one plant or 2 of the same strain. All in all, it's been a good learning experience.

It doesn't show in the pic, but overnight a bunch of the buds on the GG look frosty. They looked really nice, really glad I grew this one. The JHxPB smells a bit stronger than the GG at this point, but it isn't frosty like the GG.

The GG#4 is looking better everyday. It's frosting up very nicely. The JHxPB is starting to look better too, it should look pretty nice in another week or two.

The next ones to go in getting ready:

One Grandaddy Purple and two Super Sour Diesel. I'll be transplanting them and start training them this weekend.

July 23 overhead GG#4 is on the left in this one:

They just got straight water tonight. It's weird, when I feed the GG#4 takes about 2 quarts and I get excess draining in the catch pan, but when I give just water I have to give 2.5 quarts before I see runoff in the pan.

very nice brother!!!

You seem so excited to grow hahaha updating daily! reminds me of myself when I started.

Are you vegging anything while these ladies bloom so that you can reload your tent right away? no down time?

love the overhead shots, nice man.

As for watering, the plant is probably thirsty, maybe the environment has been warmer, or maybe the plant is happy and her metabolism is increasing, I start flowering with only 1 feed per lights on, but by the time I get to flush, Im watering my plants 3 times per lights on, so maybe you can feed her 1.3 Liters twice a night!

Soil or coco?

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with them so far.

I've got 2 Super Sour Diesels and a Grandaddy Purble that start vegging soon. Plan to use one of the SSD to replace the GG#4 when it comes out. The JHxPB will probably go at least 4 weeks longer than the GG#4. I'll pop something else in at that time. I'm hoping to be able to harvest 1 every 4-5 weeks.

I'll try mixing up the water schedule to see how that works.

The overhead ahots are a pain to get, but worth it.

Really happy with the way this grow is going. I think I should have kept the screen a bit lower, but I think I'll get some nice buds out of both of them.

could use some advice

could use some advice

So 10-14 days ago I took 3 clones off the GG#4 and was keeping my fingers crossed they'd develop roots. Since the plant was almost 21 days into flowering, I really didn't think they'd root for 30 days or more, if at all. But to my surprise I found this when I checked them this evening:

This the first time I've done clones in over 20 years, ANY suggestions would be very nice. I honestly didn't think they would take so I didn't get any advice what to do next.

The buds are frosting up and filling out nicely. Moved a few things around to get better light to a few today. Smelling really nice.

A couple close ups of some buds:

I would let them develop roots for another day or two and plant them in whatever medium you want to be running and get them going. Veg them for awhile so they revert. This is pretty much monstercropping right here too. A monstercropped clone vegged out would fill out a screen really well.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to go with that and see how it goes. I thought they needed to put a few more roots out before transplanting, but it's been so long since I've done clones I couldn't remember the process. I was also doing hydro at that time with really bad lighting.

I was really surprised they even rooted at all. I checked my timeline, and I just took them like 8 days ago. I thought if they were going to root at all it was going to be at least 30 days until they did. Hopefully all 3 of them root for me.

I had been thinking about monster cropping for a while now. I read that one sticky on pruning and training and got a lot of ideas from it. I've been able to to get a pretty good grasp on training and super cropping and it's done well for me in the past. I had seen the part about monster cropping and told my buddy about it. He tried it with some Jack Herer but it never developed roots. He gave me his cloning tray and light and it worked for me with the GG#4. I think he may have taken his clones a little later in flowering than I did, and that may have affected it.

Would one of these make a decent mother plant? I really love the strain and the chances of getting more clones for me is kind of slim. I decided I want to try to keep 2 mother plants of different strains so I have good clones to trade. I really like the GG#4 so I'd like to make a mother out of one of these.

Not sure what the other one's going to be yet. I'm leaning towards Super Sour Diesel, but I'm not 100% committed to it yet. I'm trying to pick strains that would be good for my SCrOG set up, and the SSD may not work for that. The first time I ran it it got kind of tall. I might be able to train it and keep it shorter. The 2 seedlings I have got FIM'd totally by accident and put up four tops. But I topped them fairly early so I may be able to keep them shorter. I'm transplanting them tomorrow so I'm gonna start training the then.

Thanks for stopping in and for the feedback.

Took a few sun leaves off today to get more light to some shaded buds. I'm trying to tuck them as much as possible, but some just won't tuck.

I also transplanted two Super Sour Diesel and one Grandaddy Purple seedling to their next pot size. I also started training them today.

The chain link fence ties I use as training stakes and also to support the main stem at the initial bending spot:

All three about 8 hours after a nice feeding and initial training:

They all bounced back nicely. I accidently FIM'd the two SSD's so they have 4 tops each. Those two are really going to be fun to train. The GDP bounced back well, but it doesn't lok quite as healthy as the SSD. I also stunted one of the SSD's by overwatering early on, but it seems to be doing OK now. It's just smaller than the other two.

Took a few more sun leaves off. The JHxPB looks like it's a few weeks behind the GG#4, but I expected that.

Slightly overhead:

The GG#4 is really starting to stretch. Smells really nice and is very sticky. The JHxPB is really starting to fill out too. I moved a few tops on her around today to get more light in to some of the stuff that was just under the screen. I also took some selective sun leaves off each one too get light in to some sites that were shaded.

The tops on the GG#4 are really starting to fill out, I'm really looking forward to taking her down. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked closet at the JHxPB today. I didn't realize how much the buds were filling out. I'm glad I checked, some of them look nice but just weren't getting enough light. After shifting a few around I could see how much potential she has.

I'm going to have to really watch the trics on her for harvest time. The seeds I got were from a friend who used his buddies "Purple Bud" male to fertilize his Jack Herer. I'm the first person to try the seeds. I've run the JH before, but I have no idea what to expect from the PB. It shows strong Sativa traits as far as leaf shape and bud shape, so I'm thinking the PB must be a Sativa or Sativa dominant cross.

My favorite bud on the GG#4, it has 3 heads:

Moved a few on the JHxPB and was able to get light to some that were shaded. Took a few sun leaves from both to get more light to a few spots. The GG#4 has really stretched over the past 2 weeks.
