Thanks, I'm really happy with the way this grow is going so far. Going to check trichs again tonight and plan harvest based on that. I'm sure one of them will be ready. Can't waitvto take em down.

I'd love a bigger tent. I just don't have room for one yet. Hopefully one day.

Aug 23, day 61 flowering:

After rechecking my notes I found I've been flowering for 5 days longer than I'd thought. So today was day 61, not 56. I took a long look at trichs today and decided to take the GG#4 down Wednesday and the JHxPB either next Sunday or Wednesday. The Glue had a lot of amber on a few buds, and the others were nice and milky with a bit less amber, so I think I should be good. The JH cross didn't really seem to have many amber at all. Decent number were milky, but not quite where I want it.

I started flushing both of them last Sunday with the Flora Kleen and they got that for 5 days. Switched to just water Friday and gave the Glue another flush today with just water. I took pretty much all of the remaining big sun leaves off her today too. I'll probably flush her with just water again tomorrow, then that will be it for her. Just water for the JHxPB from here on out.

I built a drying box last week using plans I saw on another forum. Used a U-Haul wardrobe box and added passive intake vents as well as a filtered exhaust fan. Temps have been 73.5-68.3 and humidity has been 39-45%. Those are pretty much in the exact same range that I was getting when I was using the tent with the lights off between rounds. Seemed to work pretty well with those ranges. I would like to get the humidity closer to the 50-55% range though. If anyone has suggestions on how to raise the humidity in there it would be appreciated.

I'll be taking the GG#4 down tomorrow and the JHxPB a week from tomorrow.

Some pics of the drying box I built over the weekend.

Front view, closed:

Side view showing 1 of the two passive intake vents and the 2 exhaust fans:

Inside view showing carbon filters on exhaust fan vents and the bar to hang from. I plan to use plastic hangers and pipe cleaners to hang the buds:

Can't wait to try it out this upcoming week.

I'll post pics tomorrow when it gets used the first time.

Yep, Glue was on the right. Took her down today, got 15.25 oz. wet weight after the trim.

After trimming:

Taking a short break before I hang em up. I'll try to get a pic of them hanging later today.

The GDP finally showed as female. Still have 2 Super Sour Diesel to put in. I may just put 1 in and either use the other for a mother, or trade for some different clones.

Added 1 SSD in the front right today. Not sure the JHxPB is going to make it to next Wednesday. I may take it down Sunday. Not sure my back can take another triiming session so soon. I may need to find a more comfortable place to do it.

Seems to be working pretty well so far. Min/Max so far have been 68.2/74.7 farenheit and 41/57% relative humidity. They did feel a bit drier than I expected after just 2 days, so I cut the fans off tonight. Going to see how they look tomorrow and go from there. I'm hoping they moisten up a bit overnight or it may be a harsh smoke.

Well, I kind of screwed the pooch on drying the GG#4. Although my temps and RH were pretty dialed in, my buds were super crispy last night. The stems were also snapping on a lot of them. So, I pulled them all out and jarred them last night with Boveda 62 medium packs. I left them closed all night, then aired them out twice so far today. There was a pretty decent improvement and they aren't as crispy today and smell a lot better.

Here are a few of them:

Took the Jack Herer x Purple Bud down this morning. Not quite as heavy as the GG#4, but still pretty decent.

Pre-trim:

Post-trim:

Ended up with 12.45 oz off her. Got her trimmed and hanging. Hopefully the drying will go a little better this time. I think having the exhaust fans on with the GG#4 was what caused it to dry so fast, leaving them off this time ;)

Got a Granddaddy Purple and a Super Sour Diesel in there now. I'll post pics of them later tonight.

Looking good. Get you some of those bonsai trimmers. They're awesome for trimming and getting in those nooks and crannies on the buds.

Thanks, I was pretty happy with how she turned out. She had some massive buds compared to the GG#4, but I got more weight off the Glue.

Nice, I've been using eyelash/eyebrow scissors. They workn but they do cause my fingers to ache. I'm actually getting ready to order a few other things, these will probably go on that order.

I was too lazy to start a new thread for my next run so I'm just going to keep this thread going.

Replaced the last 2 with Granddaddy Purple, on the right, and Super Sour Diesel. The GDP is a bit ahead of the SSD, but they'll probably finish around the same time.

Sept 2, day 21 flowering GDP, day -2 SSD:

I moved both of them around today after I took the JHxPB down this morning. The GDP is really taking off, this is my first time running it so if anyone has any strain specific advice I'd appreciate it. I ran SSD my first time out with the tent and got 6 ounces out of one plant so I'm hoping for good results again.

Bummer, the SSD showed as a male today. Gonna throw the back up in tomorrow. I'll probably flower the male out for some pollen to try a few crosses.

Bummer.

Popped the back up SSD in tonight. Probably going to put the male somewhere to flower so I can get some pollen to try a cross or two.

Sept 3, day 22 flowering GDP, day -7 for the new SSD on the left:

Hopefully the new one is a female. I don't have anything else that's ready to go in yet. I'm probably going to start 2 Blue OG seeds tomorrow. I also just got a few bag seeds from some really nice nugs I picked up last week. I may start them tomorrow also.

I went back today and checked my dates with this new group because the GDP just didn't look far enough in for almost 4 weeks of flowering, especially for a plant that's only supposed to go 8-10 weeks. Turns out I was 7 days off on my count. I've started not counting until after the plants have been under 12-12 lighting for 7 days, so I started using a 7 day countdown with this run. I forgot to use it with the GDP, so I thought she was farther along than she really is.

Sept 6, day 19 GDP day -4 SSD:

I moved both pots about 6 inches closer to the front of the tent today and did a lot of moving branches around. I think it should help to get the screen more full than the last run. I made a point to try to get a node or 'top' exposed in every hole in the screen on the GDP side. Since she's a good bit ahead of the SSD, it was pretty easy to do. When I started training these two, I didn't keep the side branches or tops quite as low and horizontal as I did last time. This also seems to be helping. A lot of nodes that are in holes with the GDP are located in similar spots on the stems as some of the ones I had to take off the GG#4 because they weren't going to get light.

I also cleaned up a bit underneath on the GDP, a very little bit to start. I plan to clean up under the screen on the GDP for the next week and pretty much let her go from there. I may have to take a few sun leaves every once in a while, but I'm not going to lollipop quite as severely as I did last run. I'll try to remember to get some before and after pics.

I think I'm just going to keep everything in this thread. Too lazy to start a new one anyway :smoker:
