He can grows hybrids but more those ones on sativa side or sativa dominant,

here at 45.5 best grows Afghani type of plants and indy-sat hybrids goes very good, everything
that flowers max 12-13 weeks will suceed to grow,

long flowering sativas are best for tropics as there they can reach optimum.

True True^ ....Cant get a full blooded sat. to finish here at 43, but a sat/indica hybrid does wonders.

Hey buddy!
Not exactly true, there are a number of pure sativa that will finish up no problem in your lat.
example Oaxacan gold and Baglung Nepali are two prime candidates.

I am at 43,6 Adriatic Sea coast,Dog Star and me share

Without any damage for my climate do plants which trigger in late summer
finishing after 15.11 till Christmas.
Still every grow is illegal, lot of Albanian weed on the streets .

Kokomarin brate, :)

your climate is 3 X better than mine continental for growing plants, there is a big difference between mine continental and your mediteran part,i will exchange with you tommorow if i can to move from foggy continent and enjoy mediteran as was once was..

No really Adriatic coast is a real mood brightener on good sunny days, love our sea, fishing,
smoking on fishing,etc... made me feel good from inside.

Also sun at 43,6 burning better and plants are more potent for sure.. smoked some good sativa weed from Hvar, guy tolds it was "Kafena" because it was brown in colour..
not bad growed but i really didnt go much deeper in what is genetics..

Problem with our region is colds and wet and in your are strong winds that tear appart
old trees like they are old newspapers,Bura blows more than 200 km per hour,
chilling shit from wind..

Regards man

Hey neighbours from the adriatic :)
I'm just a bit north over the border and have same trouble with finishing a proper sativa outdoor.
Best against mold was Angola x Thai, she can finish in late november/early dec from clone and can be very resistent to molds.
Not sure how they handle the bura so small plants have the advantage. We also have burja, not so hard like in kvarner and krk but still very strong and can be a plant killer.
Some say Malawi is great for our area but my experience with old malawi line was not really good. Newer malawi seems to finish faster.
I will give a try to a couple of Delicatessen's Her Majesty plants, supposed to finish quite early near 45N. Also QueenMother should work well around here.

Cheers, ziveli :)

How about that Laos I saw in a picture. Would love to grow some of that. Would probably have to give them supplemental lighting this fall and cover them with a hoophouse or some protection from frost weather in October here at 43n. Can I please see another picture if you have it of the laos Mallard? What do you know of it other than it came off of a red string stick that was potent....

Well with those open stretchy spear budded plants, they sure are to have super mold/rot resistance. Think it will be fun growing one and see how big and full it can get.

Donald : Ive grown hundrends if not thousands of seeds with no veg time , never had hermies unless the line was really prone to it, anything from pure indicas to pure sativas...

in fact i find a waste of time to veg more than 2-3 weeks sativas indoors unless u want to keep moms of course... i also like planting late around august ( sativa ) outdoors works great

indeed golden stuff baked beanz :) yumz

probably not going to do it unless they are prone too leet,
perhaps its a good test to weed out problems that may otherwise go un noticed ,

both chimera and shanti have written on the subject ,
and say the same thing as i noticed .....
it was what made me want to regrow a plant that had shown trouble ,
it was afghan haze actually ..

several of them threw male flowers ,
i was disappointed , so thought id test out that theory and regrow one to see ,
it was fine the second time , with no signs of male flowers ...

Yeah, bet it will be fun growing it. Got a balcony that gets real hot during the summer and I am sure she will thrive there. Throw a tent over it come fall and throw 3000w of hps to help supplement at finish. Be fun and the vets will be trippin if I pull it off. So put me down for a balcony grow of Laos. :woohoo:

Thanks for that info. Gives me hopes that I can grow some Loas here proper. What do you think, Any pointers? I know you can get some shitty weather there in the fall too. But isn't Vermont at a lower latitude than Oregon? Have a great grow season. Cheers
