The cbg durban has definitely caught my eye! I'm trying to decide on my next seed order and there are so many great choices available now...

Any smoke reports or comparisons? Thanks. (I'll go back and read further back in this thread, also, in case it's already been discussed)

question , i have some cannaboigen durban , i,m making hybrids .

should i be looking for the faster flowering females or faster flower males . there is two distinct types early and late showing in the both males and females . naturally i,m looking at the quicker to respond , though somehow i feel the later to respond may be the ticket for a more potent affair ...... anyone ?

i guess it may be difficult to answer unless you have run them . but i,m all ears .

guess i can always replicate the crosses and smoke test females , give me the advantage of which offspring to look at .

thought may swell throw up some late start destroyers , starting to get there . quiet quickly really

they were companion planted with an indica late season , indica are gone they remain . i,m starting to wonder why i even grow indica,s when late starts do so well . think the roof would get pushed of full season .

Always loved the Durban. The stuff we grow is black licorice smell. very branchy later in life. Always considered Durban to be a landrace strain. Possibly wrong all these years? Anyway, Durban gets my two thumbs up. Really racey if you harvest when trics are crystal clear.
Does anyone else like their personal smoke with clear trics? It is a bit speedier to me, which I like because I am a farmer. Durban with clear tricomes should be on the menu at the local businesses.
Would love to hear a smoke report on you Durban Baked Beans?
We used to screen them clear tric heads softly just to get the clear bulbs w/o stalks on the trics. Anyway, it melted right through a pipesrceen when your flame touched it and it hit you hard, right in the front of your head instantly. Believe this is referred to as cerebral.

ok yeah thought as much , i,ll have to just keep pollen throwing and checking through through smoke test and offspring . i have few males atm . one just dumping pollen and nice clusters . think only have 2 female durban,s , ones already pollinated flowered up , i pollinated it was few things... as the branches were used . have a bean stalk hardly throwing pistils , i up potted her.... if she wants to get 6 foot this time of the year i won,t stop her ;)

@donald i hear you there . you just never know who,s going to be the nicer females till the end . i must admit its why i just about use pollen on every female i have(a branch or two ) , think people think i,m nuts half the time with seed making .

@el boyo ,yeah man the destroyer are some nice gear , i,m actually wondering why i bother with indica,s some times ........starting to get some terp profiles / smells now . been awhile for sativa,s for me . so really enjoying myself .

@bio , glad you liked it ..... i,ve never ran it before . so glad too hear . certainly will do pics for everyone and smoke report . i,ve made some real nice hybrids too .

i,ll be driving you all crazy soon ,
i got sativa,s all over the place test running them . the 6 foot MM x headbanger is coming along and the MM X OJSDKB well they just ridiculous for what time they were put in 8 foot high and 5 feet wide . about 30 MM X BLR#3 AND 30 MM X headbanger all just went into the empty big pots and are around 2 feet high . i wanted to see the pheno,s in them .....also about 30 malawi x black lime same size ( aka black death ). few other things ........there,s a meo thai pheno i got in the destroyers poking a hole through the roof think its about 10 feet high .....and i,m harvesting my killer orange and killer lime in week or so.... fun times ..... still few other things too ,killer malawis and panamas and durban

aka black death

Hey RUSTr's I am looking for a really fruity tropically mangoey guavy sweet smelling sativa with great "jar appeal" - Something visually stimulating, as well as stimulating to the sense of smell/taste. Any ideas?

I've been a huge longtime fan of Rust threads since way back. Thanks for all the great stuff guys!

RedDirtWarrior, welcome back after a few years of hiatus. there was a few utube grows back several years by reddirtwarrior along the Columbia river iirc. dat you? really interesting sagas.

i'd try researching here at ic "guava". you'll get 10 pages. I think sativa dom santa maria is the best place to search for the terps and the stimulating high effects.

Flowering 18 - 19 weeks. Sweetest tropical fruit aroma - guava, mango, papaya. Best flowering structure of CBG Punto Rojo phenotypes- froms almost what you'd call colitas. Not as vigorous as Punto Rojo -1. Punto Rojo-1 has wispy flowers everywhere.

the gal kept asking whats the one there , meo thai pheno of destroyer .....crazy big , but she,s referring to the smell and how offensive and sticky it is . its about 4 weeks in flower so not much to see yet apart from it being 10 feet tall . crossed it to oil spill and cherry chem .( branch of each ) lots seed

i am running MM X,S as i mentioned from zero veg so we,ll see how big they get ..... atm 2/3 feet started flower . be interesting

MM x Headbanger looks like winner if i judge amount of buds..,

good job Baked Beanz

cheers mate , i honestly believe that MM X BLR #3 will be the best cross of the lot ..... we,ll soon know . its a great privilege to be able to run this legend and to have been able to use her in few hybrids . :tiphat:

Donald, her splaying out like that, horizontal expansion... she grew like that on her own... or did she get some help being laid out like that haha

Columbian x c99 x mbs (??) Mbs = mull madness? Looks like some very long flowering arms there, if she smells half as impressive as looks...

Very impressive beautiful plants Mr. Mallard!

she didnt need to be encouraged at all ncali,
pretty natural growth pattern it seems ,
ive actually tried to make it more upright where i can ,, lol ..

mbs is mind body and soul ,, not really fitting for this thread , indica dom variety ,, but makes nice hybrids when crossed with those beasts ...

they ranged from spicy and haze smelling ,
to a little sweet ,
eb helped my trim a bunch of them , he liked it .

i made some seed with mbs because one of the colombian x c99 was the biggest plant we had ever seen at that time of year ,
by miles ,
and the only male i had was mbs ,
figured it would at least help to save some of the extremely vigorous genetics ...
