you just said that :)
Gives me hopes that I can grow some Loas here proper.
but the oaxacan and nepali are very different than other tropical sativas. they are faster flowering lines .

or may be i just misunderstood ? :tiphat:

Thanks for that info. Gives me hopes that I can grow some Loas here proper. What do you think, Any pointers? I know you can get some shitty weather there in the fall too. But isn't Vermont at a lower latitude than Oregon? Have a great grow season. Cheers

Well I am afraid you would mostly be limited to sativas from some Mexican, African and some others, even though I believe you have a more moderate climate than at my elevation. If you are really bent on trying you could grow in pots keep them root bound and bring inside every day to cut day length, which is a lot of work. Or you can just try one girl and maybe get real lucky. I did get a Jamaican Lambsbread to flower outside finished by end of Oct in 1979 near Boston, and I would not that was possible today if I did not try.

@MANI
Yeah, bet it will be fun growing it. Got a balcony that gets real hot during the summer and I am sure she will thrive there. Throw a tent over it come fall and throw 3000w of hps to help supplement at finish. Be fun and the vets will be trippin if I pull it off. So put me down for a balcony grow of Laos. :woohoo:
Yup, that's what I said.

@mtn nectar-
Thanks for the info on Mekong High. Bad ass name too. who puts that one out if I may ask.

That is what I am thinking, picking the best out of the 4 seeds that cracked. By the way, I put 5 super laos seeds to germ. and 4/5 cracked within 24 hours. Havent checked but the fifth one may have cracked by now. So, yes like you suggested I will pick one female to pamper. As I said, it will be a fun grow, just because. Maybe put some pollen to her, call myself a breeder before taking Biology 101.
Sorry cant help being facetious on ic sometimes.
Hear that you cant get some cold weather there off the great lakes out of the north. I do have Banghi Haze which should finish well as I do believe we have discussed. But ace seeds has plenty of people growing their gear on these forums. They wouldn't even sponsor me, even thogh they would be getting free publicity.
So I am growing some strains from friends. Might as well, did a mono crop on kc brains kc33 last year. Didn't even answer my email when I asked for sponsorship. Was even going to outfit my crew with t-shirts representing there seedcompany.

Vermontman, Have you tried any of the Malawi in your area?

If the plant grew 16ft tall and 10 ft wide, then 3000 might not be a drop in the hat. But this Las grow I am planning is strictly for fun, although there is the slight chance it could turn out to be killer.

Hey Bio!
Be your own sponsor.
I think what you are doing is terrific, the strains you have shown here are amazing and a great feat in on itself to get to bloom the way you have, from my perspective if you have gotten them as far as you have just a bit of tweaking and you should be golden.
The closest to Malawi I have tried up north was Oax X Mulanje I put out last summer and they were cut down by Oct 20 but really needed another month. From them I made dry sieve.
Just follow your passion.

Yeah I got some dry sieve off 2016 harvest. Have to make some shatter/dabs/oil, whatever. Kinda like the wax because it is easier to work with. Oil can be such a mess. Heres some eye candy......

The fifth one cracked but chucked it cuz I am ruthlessly culling for the best plant. So 5/5 cracked in a wet paper towel method. Hope to get them going vigorously quickly. Have a 1000 watt that comes on at 3:30 in the morning and a heated seed mat. Thing should be comfy for them. Got the wood stove burning in the greenhouse now, to keep all the seedlings warm till morning lights on and then sunup.

Nice one ,
heres a glimpse of what they can be ,
though i put them in late in order to control them ,
your full season ones will make mine look like youngsters , hehe

still pretty surprised at the size of them given so late..
