It's about time someone spoke up!!! Those pics that VM keeps posting are bogus. Just how many strains can he grow and photograph in such a time frame.

subrovka, that is exactly how my grinspoon looked. I did not get a heirloom super sativa like they advertise. Did you grow more than one from your pack?

Mine all looked like this, more or less. There was also a very potent pheno that I found boring. I would smoke it if I wanted to be confused for 2 hours. Really boring. I did not take good care of them and almost chopped them. The only reason I let them finish was because the pest seemed to gravitate to them instead of my sativas. They did smell and taste good though.

Hey vermontman, do the buds you grow today differ in effect than the original stuff? Or look different?

You gold bud seems to confirm my idea that most of the 'gold' strains of old were just regular green buds left to dry in the sun.

That is the way they were grown and harvested back in the day before the so called expert growers started to baby and trim up there buds. We should go back to the old methods,we could be in for a great reminescence.

Ive seen them go golden on the plant at maturity ,
you just need the right climate for the plants to finish properly,
in their natural setting they would ....
otherwise it wouldnt make sense calling a variety blah blah gold ,
if all u needed was to dry them in the sun to get the coloring ...

..the other 4 girls I had were pretty much like you described it, nothing special about them..for the perl necklace pheno one needs to grow 2 packs or better 3, to be sure. but I´m pretty satisfied with this dense budded pheno, it yields and has unique properties like the bud-structure, the aroma/flavor and the high! :tiphat:

That's the problem though. For you to need multiple packs for a sativa pheno in a variety touted as being a pure heirloom sativa; well its hard to fall for the bs. I enjoyed the aromas; but, I didn't pay 8 dollars a seed for something less than advertised. Back in the day I grew their utopia haze and got 6 amazing plants. Amazing in their diversity and their quality. I'm afraid to buy a pack now.

So I had some reject (white or broken) seeds from all the Thai and haze crosses I made.
just messing around I took a rake and scratched the ground a little. then threw the seeds down, hoping a couple of them would pop...
I couldn't believe how many came up!!

Little update to my random seeds toss outdoor.
The funny thing is people say indicas do best in the cold??
all but a few indicas died but all the pure looking sativas are going strong and it's November!
I've had at least three frosts so far...
i'm going to see how far I can take these sativas.

As you can see everything has died around them from the frost
also I now have more seed then I know what to do with I think i'll be doing this again next year to see what I find in the f2's.
