Octobers are really nice for you there vermontman.

I know that strain of yours has to be special for you to keep growing it for 37 years.

You know, you are correct. I wouldn't trade her for anything. I have honestly never grew anything else that is anything like her. There are many great stains out there, but she is very unique.
Thank you for your kind words.

. . Any of you guys ran Tropical's Durban Punch? . .

I had a couple of the Durban Punches going, but lost them to varmits just as things were starting to get interesting. Similar in appearance to TB's Ciskeis, though my conditions were not as great.
There are a few pics of them in veg in my albums.

aloha white widow/Malawi gold soa outdoor grown.

aww has a great sativa high and is very potent imo. looks like some great breeding material to fatten up some sativa aka nld landraces for commercial product.

here's some indoor grown nld cohiba I now call silver leaf pheno. very fast. finished outdoors end of September no matter when I transplanted outdoors. silver leaf is a very recessive pheno from castroman's cohiba/Paraguay cohiba bsc.

picture.php

now here's a clone of silver leaf grown outdoors. came in late September while heat and humidity levels were still very high in se usa.

silver leaf fem s1 clones would be great imo for northern outdoor grow environments. performs like chiskei is supposed to except more balanced high. i'm going to make female seeds aww/silver leaf fem pollen for outdoor growers in northern environments.

growing commercial product outdoors in se usa is a real demanding task. the bud needs to come in after heat and humidity dissipate; 10/15 till 11/15 produces much lighter brighter greener buds that the public wants.

^ this aww/mg outdoor bud is what i'm looking for bag appeal wise. came in 10/20/2016.

The plants coming from the buds I found this past summer are almost identical to the buds from where they came from. This will be a no seed run so maybe the buds can show their true form

2 weeks flowering. Landrace sativa. Smells of slight berry some creamy smell. Im hyped on the outcome

the wait is on

Vaguely reminds me of pictures of a Laos strain. Reminds me of a story of the Golden Voice.

Hello ThaiBliss, i've read somewhere about the Golden Voice and Elephant Ear. Or is it maybe the same? I was born in 1988 and smoked my first joint around 2005 i think, so my knowledge about the good old days is very very limited.
Every info about those old strains would be great.
