the bottom and top are the ownly 2 that have to be put in the right position, the top has a tee instead of a "X" and the bottom has a longer tail to drom into the res.

I wanted to redo the feed lines but the little girls are ready to go so im gonna have to go with the old feed lines. Ill get some pics of the pre filter thats in the res as well as the 200 mesh 50 micron filter and pump tommorrow

I used to take 6" cuttings, ran out 2 weeks to root all , put the early rooters in 5 oz. cup of 50/50 ver/pero throw in system, @ cut time bout 24"

Thanks for the quick reply BB: How do you fancy the hog....i've smoked on it and was pretty impressed considering it's a 50-60 day finisher........I know you have the HDF as well.....how do you feel about em? thanks again bro

Both hog and HDF are great! hdf is a big producer if ya get the right mother, I went through a whole pack and didnt get a keeper, had a fellow member on OG send me some cuts of his, he went through 45 plants to find 3 keepers, the hdf if the right momma is found is great but the strain is not consistant from seed to seed

Very nice thread betterboy. I'll be sticking around and taking some notes. I think i'm going to try one of these units, but a top feed. I want a unit that is just basic and i think the top feed will do well for me. Thinking of same design as yours, but with a pump ans timer. A feed to waste type system. I don't need all the mister's to keep up with and the chance of problems. I think a top feed will be the trick of me. Thanks for sharing your grow with us. I know others will be trying this setup. Great job on the system and the yield.
Take care,
BG

PS, I'll be running cool tubes also.

Hi Gold Dust
Thought this thread was dead, This usnit could easly become a top fed unit, originally I built this as a F&D system but wasnt happy with it.The misters must be watched the first week in the system, after that , even if a mister plugs all plants are fed by the NFT effect of the system, providing all the misters dont go down. I check the misters ownly the first week or so and then the last half of the grow but probably should be checked atleast once a week. All in all theirs not alot of maintance with it.hope your system works out well for ya I know i like mine .

LOL, threads not dead. I'm going to read through it one more time. I think the top feed to waste will work for what i'm looking for. Plus, it's alot cheaper and wasier for me. A normal pump will work and all i need to do. Is run some feeder lines and make a manifold. Don't have to worry about PSI and pressure tanks, or a large enough pump to hold right PSI. I like your system alot and will go with everything the same, but mine will top feed or drip. Thanks again for sharing your info.
Take care,
BG

I've used a echo pump 1530 gph, but seemed to loose steam after a few grows, There is 2 reasons i went to misters as opposed to the 360 sprayers,The first problem is they put out to much water which opens all kind of problems, like when the clones are first installed in the system they become over watered, not good, pump constantly running, expensive and causes heat issue, with the bladder 20 gal. tank my pump kicks on just 1 time every 5 minuites instead of every 5 minuites
Misters will provide more oxygen to the roots in a fine mist compared to the 360 sprayers
Im in the process of building 2 new vertical areo units much simpler design but I think it will lprove to doo even better, plus since im using misters instead of sprayers I'll be able to run both towers off 1 res, so that saves me from buying another chiller unit.
1 sprayer for each plant because the misters shoot down in a V pattern unlike the 360's that hit the cap and splash from side to side.
I really would have liked to use the sprayers but with the higher preasures their GPH tripples.
I know the misters are more expensive than the sprayers but you'll get a payback in 60 days, I get my misters for like 60 cents each.
I'm using a well pump with my system 1/2 hp jet pump
Oh yea, my pump was ownly $128.00 on sale reg. $148.00 @ menards

hey bb are you going to post pics once revised revised system is up and running. Hey this thread is awesome i was hoping it was going to continue. I was wondering are you now running 3 600w vertically. I've stated this earlier but this goota be one of the most efficent systems with light and space. I going to try and get one up and going in next 6 months. How is the ez cloner working for you. is it as easy as they say. Well thanks again for sharing, hope you hit the magic mark. :smoker:

yea the new revised revised looking kinda neat and are comming along, gonna chop the 4' areo tommorrow, dont know if the 3- 600's did much if any better than the 2- 1000 but will know next week, but half the fun of this is seeing if ya can push it to the limit.
hoping to get that ez clonner going this weekend, wondering if everyone just leaves that thing running 24/7
This new way of the build is soooo much easyer and less work! think i like already, 1 day labor and the octagon and stand can be built got bout 250.00 in just the oct and stand, gonna reuse the old stuff for the 2 new ones
fred
thats what this hobby is all bout , is trying different things, I really dont have a heat issue in the res though because my pump sits outside the res.
