wowzie....another Skunk thread. Didn't they just shut down that other monstrosity of a thread? You people are relentless in saying the same things over and over...and

never finding "real skunk"

carry on though

bless you

Grab a boatload of Seedsman original skunk and do an open pollination, followed by a very large population pheno search, and so on and so forth.

MNS Skunk Kush reportedly has some stinky phenos.

I think I have a much better idea.

Hint: It's too diluted now in my opinion. Go back to the Landraces and start all over.

Starting over is not an option. Not a chance in hell of coming close even with a lab. Sam did extensive work with plants long gone. Be fun though and the results would be nice to puff.

how many plants will you be working with ? in this search ?

10,000 males and 10,0000 females...and the genetics used..another pipe dream in the making. Not happening.

or just outcross Skunk #1 to something that has Skunk smelling traits (for me Chem DD) and keep germing and incrossing until you find a Skunk #1 chassis that smells like a skunk.

Skunk aromas are easy to find... (and again). I don't see the big deal in "real" or "road kill" Skunks. I just don't. I mess with my own Skunk #1 outcrosses just to see what can actually be found. Mostly though..Skunk #1 being so well bred..dominates the plants I've grown. I do have a new batch going presently. Madjag motivated me to grow my Skunks again.

The threads are entertaining...but other than that...it's really redundant...especially when 1/2 the posters have never even smoked a Skunky Skunk....and another 1/4 don't even know what real skunks smell like.

leaves a 1/4 of older dudes who actually know of it....and then those

don't really know what they were smoking waaaaaaayyyyyyy back then. Some do.

Why not? If it can happen once it can happen again.

BTW: I never said it would be easy. I'm just saying it's possible.

Sam bred out the Roadkill out and went to the sweet Skunk side.
So using anything recent is most likely a waste of time if a person want the Roadkill smell.
Hence, why Roadkill Skunk isn't prevalent anymore.

Question: How many people do you know today who are playing with original Landraces used to create the Original Skunks.
i.e. Colombian Gold, etc. Probably not too many I bet.

For example:

Let's say you took a glass of milk and kept pouring water into it.
Eventually the milk would be so diluted that you couldn't reconstitute
the milk again no matter how hard you tried. To get pure milk again
you would have to go back to the cow. Right?

In this case the cow is the Landraces.

A couple of years ago I had a Skunk Haze girl from Mr. Nice that reeked skunk, definitely leaning to that side of the cross. Would be curious to see the Skunk mother of that cross.

I think a lot of the original plants used by the Seedbanks are gone now.

Somebody has to get back in the kitchen and cook something.

I'm working on it corky.

I'm just about to run the next generation on my rks smelling plant I posted about earlier. i'm not sure yet if I want to back cross it to a skunk#1 or just keep going to stabilize what I have...
I kind of forgot about this variety. I have so many variety's:) it was put on the back burner... but I see so much about rks threads it makes me want to run it again.

I don't know if this was said before...but I don't think cheese can help us out with the rks smell. cheese has a more musty butter milk smell and taste that coats your mouth. and everything I cross cheese to has that musty cheesy smell and taste. not road kill skunk funk. like what we are after..... I do have some cheese x skunk#1 cross I made.. maybe that can bring out some rks smells. I crossed them and I never ran the f1's so I don't know what there like..?

also someone was talking a bout running a bunch of skunk from seedsman. I did that and all I found was sam's sweet skunk.

Not so many working with the genetics because they are not that available....so your idea is a pipe dream and not realistic.

I mean....are you working with those genetics trying to find skunky Skunk? You able to run 70's era long flowering sativas...and breed them to an old world Afghan? of course not.

come on already. It's possible to walk on the moon too

seriously tho, this thread needs a link to the OLD road kill skunk thread like in the FIRST POST, so that all the same shit doesn't get regurgitated...

I already have 2 long flowering sativas now and will be adding another to my
personal seedbank soon. I'm not scared to go 20 weeks if I have to achieve
my goals.

Myself, I would rather see a person in wheelchair trying the impossible.
Than seeing an olympic athlete giving up. I have no use for pessimistic
people so have a good day just the same.

BTW: The moon thing is a lie. How come are they not going up again?

Yeah ok....you are one of those. gotcha.

There's a difference between being pessimistic and realistic. You need to understand that.

^ there you go. A bag of seeds from imported bud coming through southern California in the 1970's. It's in there...well parts of it...I doubt there is any Afghani...but all the rest is there.

* you can grow your three 20 wk varieties...without fear...all you want....that doesn't even get you close to the efforts and numbers you would need.

reality is a motherfucker

Ok, I just added the link now to the The Roadkill Skunk Fan Club link in my 1st post.

good move,
one thing i find.... crazy
is that the skunkman bred the skunk stink out of skunk?
seems to bizarre to be true, but.....

one thing i haven't seen mentioned is "super skunk" strain from sensi seeds (iirc)
i smoked some that was TOTALLY roadkill skunky around 99 -02 in the south....
