Hey Elevator Man Flo has interested me for a while, it's a very "own" strain sometimes you get almost black purple stems which is one of the most astonishing features for me. Your pictures a sweet dude loving the spiky bud leaves and the contrasts of yellow purple green and frosting ;) :D

Anyone who's surfed through ICMAG has seen the amazing all purple Deep Chunk pics.

Yeah I'd say that Elevator Man's Flo makes numero uno as the best purple plant I've ever seen. Most of DJ Short's "Blue" line like Blue Moonshine, Blueberry, OldTimeMoonshine, Flo will have many purple/blue phenotypes.

I am also surprised that no one mentioned dc105's GodBud and Dieselgum. Both of his grows with those strains were amazingly purple! Jordan of the Islands make many Godbud hybrids. The most purple hybrid they have is BlueGod which is Godbud x Blueberry. Two other darker/blue pigment hybrids of JOI are Sapphire Star = Godbud x Blue Hawaiian, and Ambrosia = Burmese x Godbud.

Zamalito's Colombian Black Bud that he posted awhile back totally put me in awe! Many coastal lowland Colombian strains will produce a purple or darker color as compared to the highland "Golds". Highland Oaxaca Gold will often produce the lovely purple tone, which many believe is the reason why DJ Shorts line is Blue.

I am also surprised that no one mentioned Rez's Sour Diesel IBL for that nice purple color? I've seen many SD IBL's pics with an almost totally purple tinge to the whole bud.

I have also seen many pics on here on Durban Poison that have a nice purp/gray tinge to it.

In the Big Book of Buds II, the pic of Heavy Duty Fruity by TH Seeds shows an amazing purple & lime green hue to the super large cola/budded/leafed plants. If that pheno emerged once in every pack, then we could all have that. However, that is at least of three way cross of hybrids, so you'd need a few thousand plants to find that one winner.

And last but not least, Soma's Lavander produces some amazing colors. One hybrid created by AnnaC Seeds called Montel's Pride which is a cross of
(Oaxacan x AK47) x Lavender has a nice mix of purple, yellow, and dark green tinge to it as well.

Well that's what this and Motaco's thread is all about to summarise all the different purple strains so save surfing time. People who have these plants are welcome to share them here and advertise their threads and it's up to everyone else to find and contribute.
It would work better if everyone told all their friends about these kinds of threads so that they have a chance to bother to post the best purple buds here. I don't think I should be bigging up my own thread to much, might look a bit self involved but that's why I tell everyone about Motaco's!

Thanks for the warm welcome Hanfiking! I looked all over the Mr nice seed directory and saw alot of "Mr nice" but no "Mr Nice Guy".. I going to guess its a cross with some Mr nice in it, or its just a name the breeder came across as he/she was highly watching Half Baked lol.

Welcome PGW, and Mad Scientist finally something pollinated, show us some of the seeds after all the picking work has been done :D what does she smell like?? And how did you grow out the Ecuador?

Thanx Hanfiking! The smell's very common actually, she smells like a typical Skunk, nothing extraordinary.

My apologies in advance for repeating myself here, I've posted these pics and the accompanying story elsewhere on these boards before.

I found some seeds in a rare batch of brickweed I came across a few years back. This plant was grown outdoors in Holland. We've had a very bad summer here and the plants were grown in tiny pots with me being away from home most of the time, so in short the got very little attention and this years outdoor circumstances didn't help either. The plants were pollinated by a male [thai x mexico] x Banghi, unfortunately I didn't have any Ecuador males. Still have some original seeds left though, so as soon as I have an indoor growing space again I'll try to make some new seeds.

Beautiful pics everyone! Great thread as well, keep up the good work... :bandit:

Ah it's Sammet again, he has returned, and what is this??? The beginning of a new grow diary??

Thanks for sharing Mad Scientist I'm not much of a fan of the traditional skunk smell, it's not bad, but never the less the genetics there sound awesome and the pics are nice too! keep all the infos and good work coming and going :D

Hehe, yep. New grow, Oasis, Skywalker, Master Kush, Twilight, White widow, and Green spirit. Fingers crossed for a purple pheno from the Twilight or maybe some blueish from the skywalker. Still using the 600W cool tube and the budbox, although I'm trying Earth Juice nutes this time round.

Keep up the purple porn guys, some excellent photos.

A very good read, I love the purps and started out with some of the usual subjects a few years back, Purple Star which struck me as a waste of time, Purple #1 which i found to be quite photo-sensative and good for producing purple offspring, Lethal Purple (mold magnet) plus a few other local seed strains and i am quite pleased with this seasons seedlings (pics below). None of these purps are what i would call super potent but they are pretty popular and some med patients have found them really good for arthritis and rheumatism (sp?) so i will be growing them for the foreseable future and this winter i intend to try and spice up the potency with a few crosses this winter (Nebula, White Widow and a few others) So on to the pictures.

A tad overexposed but this shows the difference in colors

Quite similar to the original Purple #1

Nice color but kind of wimpy bud structure

GG X dark purple seedling all pregnant

Same plant in early august

Kinda cool color and really nice bud structure looking forward to growing out crosses with this one.

All Outdoors as i am sure you can tell. Lets keep the purps going.
