it seems more effective on the mature plants - for example my moms were really quick to show hair like this - but ther is also many sativa dominant phenos that are not too affected either.

its interesting . lets see end of flowering :D

the gnats .. hope to exterminate them as soon as :D

the one i use is called solbac and it's made to be used in the watering water. it's based on bacteria thurgensis israelis, which are naturally available in soil. i have even read on a pyrethrum site, that one can add a small amount of pyrethrum to the watering water. i might try it, lol.

i have also heard of the one with a half potato stuck in the medium atracting the gnat larva, allowing you to remove them with the potato every 24 hours and add a fresh one. i haven't tried this method myself. it seems too complicated in slabs.

bringing the food/potato into the grow room doesnt seem like a good idea :D i bet it works - but in smaler scale :D

cant get Solbac here :D shame- seems to be good stuff.

most plants are looking like they are growing quicker than the gnat population :D so i hope with the misting today - and im gonna put some in the water too - its going to get under control - atleast for a while :D

Garlic powder sprinkled on top keeps population down too, atleast for me it did, but smelly like hell when watering lol!

well a little update :D

the plants are recuperating and going for it.

cant believe i went all the way to the greenhouse - and then forgot the darn mister/sprayer...

ill aply the bacteria thurgensis watering it by hand tomorow - i cant get bothered to go back to the greenhouse this week. also i got a a small 1 liter hand mister - but they are a pain in the ass to use for many plants.

cant really say yet im seeing too much flowering signs in the mayority of the plants. the only ones who started flowering quick was my clones of astrogfog and ssh x ptk..- talking about the ssh x ptk, the new round of clones are looking like they are starting to get roots maybe - ill see this weekend. one week should have been enough for a few to start rooting.

heres the flowering room.

astrofog getting big in the back..

flowering clones

sshx ptk bush - doesnt show well

fake mylar

just watered... will most likelly wait to aply bacillus thurgensis untill next week..

i feel less stressed about the grow now :D the roots are growing out nicelly - most likelly i will buy an other batch of trichoderma to give as soon as i can. :D

i hope i can start cutting down males etc as soon as..

this far i have spotted very many females - but only a few males - but i havent started cutting down anything yet - i just give it an other few days before i start stressing about it.

i still have one week more of work afterr this week - then its back to normal - and i hope during the coming week most males will show their balls :D so i can cut down on the amount of work etc.

every time i stand looking at my grow thru the see thru fake "mylar" i get pissed of hehe

peace :D

the biggest problem to have the floor full of pots - and no drain... is watering allways means a heck of alot of mopping and drying :D

seriously it could become a problem - lucky the flat isnt mine.. as long as the water cant go anywhere im ok :D

i live on a botom floor.

lol i can just see you cussing every time you give a bit much water to a plant and have to mop it up again, :D

you need some nice water proof table tops to collect your run off in one drain. you know that wavy plastic corrugated roofing material? it can be used as a great water proof table top, as long as you make a nice wooden frame to support it and have a slight slant on it so the water runs in one direction where you have a tank to collect the water. you could keep it low, so you don't lose head room. that would make it much easier for you. knowing you can water any plant any time and the run off is collected. also much better for the floor as the ferts and ph minus etc, will with time stain the marble floor.

later man

B

bonecarver_OG

hehe :D its tiles on the floor :D this flat is going to get re-furbished when we move out - if not id be more worried :D the flat is owned by a person in my gfs family :D

now its only 7 months untill my house is finished.. then i will get to a permanent solucion.

i have also been thinking of using corugated roofing - some of it comes galvanized in stainless - and its got groves big enough to put each slab in.. so there has been many ideas going thru my head..

also in my future growroom ill make all the carpenting out of aluminium beaming - seems better than wood when it comes to humidity tolerance lol :D

also im going to use tiles in the future growroom, even the walls - its great for cleaning and using the right material for the joints - it gets water proof. :D

cant wait to get out of here :D

ahh cool, if they plan to renovate anyway, it will not be noticed. might not get that bad in 7 months, lol.

man building your own grow room with tiles on the walls and a drain in the floor is totally cool. make sure you use white tiles for the walls, then it will reflect the light well, while allowing you to hose the walls down if you feel like it, lol.

B

bonecarver_OG

yeah - was thinking of using white :D but still i want to use mylar - on top of it hehe - the main reason for tiles is cleanliness - but if tiles do reflect light well its an option..

we will move out of here as soon as the harvests are finished.. or late july.. maybe i can squeze in an other harvest lol...

after this flat - we will move to a place where i cant grow - its actually the top floor of my gf's parents house lol :D maybe max keep clones or moms alive... untill the house is done :D we are building our house almost right next to theirs.. so we can keep an close eye on the builders :D

peace

i just should ad - hopefully my coop partner will be here at summer and we will sort out a place for the moms.

its crucial to keep our favorites alive...

well - todays check up on the clones show they are rooting just as suspected - this phenotype never takes more than 2 weeks to root - even in worst of circumstances. the rooting hormone i used this last round has really made a huge difference in amount of roots growing from the clones... clonex works well..

the clones got roots growing everywere - even out of the stem above the RW cylinders - means time to start letting the humidity levels down lol at last i can stop misting every 3 hours - 24H a day hehe

the plants..

tonight i will start seeding out the runts.. hope to get it down with quite a few :D lets see - what my heart lets me take out of there :D hehe i got a huge problem with cutting down female plants evn if they are ugly looking .. u never know what can come out of a runt! - usually they yeild less but they can get more resinous :D so lets see...

ill get back later :D

well a closer check shows the reason for the bad growth in many of the plants .. under developed roots - most likelly due to root rot... well that way the selection has been easier...

i have also started taking away males.. most of the pots of cascadia seem to end up with a male and a female in each pot.

most mozambique's are females too - they are still in one liter pots - amd they seem to like it! well guess they will stay like that hehe

i got the super-G's and the Lp's left to go thru. but they havent shown too much signs of flowering yet - so i cant really do much for the moment. :D

most of the DC crosses are also slow on showing sex :D

this far i havent really gotten rid of many pots - rather just cutting down on the population..

the big bushes of astrofog and SSH x PTK (and clones) are growingly quickly and nicelly and they dont seem at all affected by the problems affecting the seedlings...

nice to have back up...

in one weeks time more or less i will take clones of the most interesting looking ones of the ones with root damage.. just cut the tip - and let it root well

the DC i also have to take a clone of - its one of the most affected :(

seems i got a boy budular balls.. lest see - also seems the PTK is a male/female couple..

if im going to keep and use one male - its not going to be easy either to choose :D

atleast the root-rot explains why plants that are getting perfectly fine nutes are acting very strange indeed..

first time i get root rot. ?? bet the time while i was more or less in-mobilized during the post-op recovery the plants suffered much more than i thought... well flowering aint finished yet - and i dont give up easilly - so the rest will get outmost care - and hopefully the atazyme will fix part of the root rot in the remaining plants.. or atleast stop it from spreading..

the good part is i got lots of clones of the SSH x PTK - as long as i keep that one - all else is ok hehe and since its rooting so well - im going to get a few spare ones.. that i most likelly will use for flowering in the next batch.. also some clones of that are going to a few outdoor spots - in soil - but i hope it will atleast be a nice back-up for later when harvest season comes and i bet i wont have buds :D

i got about 10 clones of the SSH x PTK to do what i want with :D

got 3 moms still saved and separated from the rest - :D wont loose this one!

the plants are going to get well taken care of - but since the water quality here is as it is - the soil grown ones... dont allways taste as great as the coco grown ones..

anyway one of the spots is a good one - a patio with sun most of the day :D so even the soilgrown ones - without proper care - can get a nice chance to perform well. the other spot is the same patio i used last year for a dynafem crap (got huge but not worth it - the smoke sucks) and a ssh x ptk clone.. both didnt get more than a few hours of direct sun a day - but it was enough to give a nice yield anyway - so lets see.. allways good BHO or hash material if not anything else :D

the patio of M - will recieve 2 astrofog clones that will go into a huge pot - and one ssh x ptk. not too much light here - besides in one spot enough for one bush - there the 2 astrofogs go.. if not they will stretch too much.

the patio of F - will get 2 SSH x PTK. this is the patio with more sun :D the plants will be taken care of by a hippie girl :D so i bet they will recieve a lot of love at least :D

the plants will recieve a good - 5 months of veg and should get time to get huge.. the soil i will prepare with guano and wormcastings.. and later a splash of A/B every now and then :D to keep em happy :D also in the soil grown ones i give PK in the flowering - even if there is guano etc.. just seems more effective :D

i cut a few more males.. lui was a male.. one CT also.. and one MF also.

im thinking of change the order of the pots so i get my big astrofog bush and the ssh x ptk more close to the ligts effective area.. if it is possible.. soon i cant get into the growroom..

the bogglegum - is most likelly gonna go - this is from the bad batch of seeds my mate vend got a few years back - and cant say i like much the lack of vitality and the fact half of the seeds didnt germ... if i keep em itd be for fun only.. they havent shown sex yet either...

in a few more days i hope to have control of wich are males and wich are females..

peace :D

will go to the greenhouse tomorow to grab the mister :D ...

im stoked about the clones - went like its suposed to even though the initial mess.. its a relieve - the money for the clones goes to my gf :D so its nice it all went ok :D
