hey bone ,
thanx for explaining that , very interesting to see the effects of the 36 hrs darkness.

are you just going to reveg any special seed plants , can t remember you saying you cloned them . can imagine what a headache that would be though ,trying to keep track and correctly label clones from 100+ seedlings !!

well as stated i planted 140 seeds from the beginning - im down on around 60 best looking ones now. the rest have been cut.

the one that are the best to smoke will get revegged and thats pretty much it or i take clones later in flowering of the most interesting ones - but id rather just reveg im running out of space

i dont really think im going to get space to take clones untill mid march - or id have to build more setups...

i agree it will be interesting, i know that it's an accepted method. indeed under your above described circumstances, why not? i can well imagine that it will make them show sex quicker. as you know, in my garden the plants are sent to 12/12 so early, that i'm glad of all the stretching they can do in the first 2 weeks. but with larger plants it's a whole other story.

like i have said before there are many ways to skin a cat and the same applies to achieving a crop of buds. in no way was i criticizing this method, just explaining why i wouldn't do it.

never the less i look forward to seeing how it goes. will be interesting to note how much quicker they make the first buds?

i would never do it like this with a crop for smoking only i like to get a few big crops when possible -

now its really uncertain with how the crop will be - many could be weaker phenos, and rather than spend time and money now on it - its better to get the goodies out of the bunch - and later concentrate on them

but since the quest is the search this is for me now the best way to do it.

but as a guideline this crop is not aimed at production of bud

for production there is much better technics - id say almost any hehe overgrown sogs etc i like the most

i did a check up on the clones and they continue ok guess they passed thru..

also i measured the head height i got for the plants to grow to - its only 80cm from the tallest plant to the roof hehe hope they wont stretch

any way - all females that look like they might get lanky are going to get moved to better suited positions.

will start looking for males as soon as they show

only the mozambiqueans are left in 1 liter containers untill they show sex just got to wait to have some space

one future mom of ssh x ptk and a 4 clones in soil.. hate it - the clones dont seem to like the soil too much.. its got the right PH so it should just be a question of them getting used to suck nutes i will most likelly do the rest of the clones to my mates in coco - then its their responsability.

ah thats 3 plants in one big pot its the ex-moms of the astrofog - 2 phenos in there its got an extreme vigor in veg. one month ago it was 3 skinny runts also this one can handle hits of 35/35 of A+B without getting burnt - it just boosts it.

the 20 clones of astrofog i got in an other bigger container will be even more funny looking in a few weeks its gonna get mad bushy

unlike the SSH x PTK wich is a really slow vegger - but a definitive winner in the end.

ahh , cool mate . i also like to put more than 1 clone in a pot , nice way to make a quick bush hehehe

it was 3 moms that grew together - clones in the first place but they were about 2 months in a 5 liter pot - then 1 month in 12 liter and now they pretty much filled up the 40 liter pot, mind u the middle lump of coco with the main roots gets dry pretty quickly.

40 liters is about 9 gallons = big enough for enormous bushes in coco

it saves space to plant together - if u dont plan to grow them too big

hehe the rest made me nervous - but gave me time to take care of the clones and bring life in them.

i have a feelling you will produce plenty of buds with all those plants man, lol. you know tf also uses this method with the 36 hours of darkness before starting 12/12, and he grows some dank strains totaly organic.

as you said you really need them to flower quick now, so you can cull the males and concentrate on the females and finding the best ones. man are you gonna have fun with all those strains and phenos of strains to test

i'll be happy with what i get what ever it is even if some strains have to be taken out etc

all dont react the same to the nutes - if i see there is too much problems i will leave the more demanding strains for an other grow. still got seeds of many of them so no worry

results the "mylar" i bought last week to make the curtains is a cheap rip off... i didnt really get to have a closer look at it in the moment but aparently the roll i thought was good price on mylar.. wasnt really.

its see thru! like wearing mirror sunglasses...

but i bet im LOOSING A LOT of LUMENS... this could be a reason im getting a lot of leaf falling of in the bottom of the plants..

now i will have to buy authentic mylar to make curtains.. and spend more bucks! . . . and obviously im looking around for an other shop

got trichoderma - and rhizotonic

had a look at the hesi root complex - but it seems to be pretty much the same as the rhizo so i left it

i have given the plants a good dose of nutes - about 27,5/27,5 of A+B per plant to boost them a bit. i will continue this week on 13/11 and continue with the mix of nutes..

using 40 ml of rhizo per 10L + 2 drops of Supervit.

added atazyme for the roots too.

i think the gnat population might be also a reason for the plants looking not so happy. one reason is also i bet the roots got damage while i was waiting for the shop to get coco.. now finally they DO have it - but now its too late - hehe i started recycling

the baccillus thurgensis i bought is for spraying. im going to use it after i have gone to get my big pump driven mister...

alright i have been cutting of the undergrowth on the SSHxPTK and next is the astrofog bushes if the SSH x PTK goes as planned - its gonna give a nice amount of nugs i dont think i will bend down the main tip nor bend it more - ill just let it go as it wants

the astrofog is bushing up nicelly - but i have to make sure to cut down the number of interrior branches or it will all end up too bushy i rather keep down the number of really small branches on the inside of the big bushes - that are not going to give any yield to talk about

all clones are ok and look like they are going to root soon.

the new growth on all transplanted plants have a healthy colour

i wish i handt spent the money on that crap - in the future i plan to paint my growrooms and use the black/white plastic for curtains etc. that is - if i cant get real mylar
