i now i got these males to choose from:

LDS
PTK
2 X18 x DC
Mental Floss
Bogglegum

.. hehe - knew this would happen...

cant decide!

all x18 x DC have been males hehe excellent since its got a nice load of genetics its carrying around and can propably give some quite interesting variety in the offspring

im thinking for the moment the LDS has more interesting genetics in the mix than the bogglegum (LDS is LSD#4 x DC)

crossed with DC.. hm - thats suchs a wide variety of genetics its crazy - and as u see there is some bogglegum parentals in there..

so im opting for keepìng the LDS male.. and just have fun instead of bogglegum - that would be more stable.. im i nuts?

also the problem with selecting the X18 x DC males is funny.. the both best looking males arent of the same pheno - one has a more musky smell and the other a more citric. also one of them has a bit more rounder sawtooth's on the leafs..

there is still one PTK and one X18 x DC left to sex - and a few LDS and JD too. the PTK left is looking far from exemplary and i might not keep it.. or maybe clone it..

oh - one plant i was thinking is a JD male is actually one more X18 x DC - yet to be sexed.

its planted together with a LDS (LSD x DC) thats a male.. im goint to wait untill the X18 x DC shown signs of sex untill i decide what to do with it.

if its a X18 x DC female... i will just clone the LDS male for later fun.

there is still some more plants to sex left..

have been thinking today about what kind of cross id like to make and what dads to use on what females.. and thinking of how the off-spring might become.. i have a few ideas i find funny - lets see if i make em.. more about that later!

it's good to see things are going well bonecarver, man are you gonna have a lot of crosses when you start making seeds lol. i can't wait to see the different strains flowering. should be very interesting.

i just cut down the Mental Floss male - and decided to keep both X18 x DC males - and also i put in one more unsexed X18 x DC in the male room - with a LDS male

so now:

keeper males untill further:

2 X18 x DC + 2 unsexed
1 PTK + one unsexed
1 LDS male

i still got a few more LDS to sex.. but i hope the rest is females for the sake of it

i just checked and there is still a lot of gnat larvae crawling around - i need to aply the baccillus thurgensis tonight..

cut a few more males from the SG.

got one very smelly smal male of cascadia i cant fit anywhere.. ill clone it ASAP when i get some RW cylinders..

i will aply beauveria bassiana - a fungus attacking larvaes - seems very effective - and bacteria thurgensis in a few days afterwards. the beauveria bassiana has a LC50 thats very high - so it seems rated more effective to attack the insects than the bacteria thurgensis alone.

hey man that's interesting, where did you get that stuff "beauveria bassiana" it sounds and looks like i need the same, lol. even though loads of gnats are dead, there are still more coming out of the medium. it seems like my solbac didn't do much good. i will increase the dose maybe?

apparently you can also get a electric unit that works with ultra sonic sound waves and also with positive ions or some thing, lol. apparently insects hate it and will piss off, lol. i can't remember where i saw the link but it was in the coco section, maybe in twenty47red-i's thread? or was it ColaforniaKid? i'll pass it on when i see it again. i'm getting to the point where i might spray the coco slabs with pyrethrum, spray it in every crack of the slabs so it gets in the top layer of the medium. as i'm only right at the beginning, it's the best time. i'll let you know what happens, lol. i'll test it on one slab first. as i used them 4 times they have 2 sets of 4 holes in them and the gnats are crawling out of all the old holes as well as between the crack of the cube and the slab. i put up a whole pack of the yellow sticky traps too and they are catching a lot of adults making me realize that my gnat infestation is worse then i thought. i'm also thinking maybe i should apply the solback water directly to each plant via a hose and really soak the medium with the solback mix, up to now it's just been applied via the drippers which is slow and very localized way to apply it. yes that's the next step, fill a small tank with a strong mix of sol-bac, put a pump in there, hook my hose up and drench each plant by hand. then we will see about the solbac, it seems last time it worked better. i hope he didn't sell me an old bottle? holy shit sorry for the long post bone,

i was just reading up on it and saw that they were using it in greenhouses - and together with thurgensis

seems an idea to use the pyrethins agaisnt the adults and at the same time attack the larvae

i just prepared a hell of a mix of natural insecticides .. it has pyrethum, neem, bacillus thurgensis and baeuverianna bassia. pretty much all i got at the house at the moment hehe later i will do an aerosol spraying too - after i have drench the coco pots top part etc

this is going to be fun... there is literally no adults to talk about. i think as soon as the mix starts working.. most problems should be solved.

as i said before atleast i dont have spidermites! thank god for that! seems to be the first indoor without them !

time to eat - then go to attack with my one gallon mister its loaded with enough biological warfare to nuke a medium sized forest nah - but its enough for 125 m2 atleast - of each product - so - should be enough - lets see!

i just finished drenching the medium hehe the darn mister gave up half way thru.. after picking it apart and checking it i gave up and did it the "drenching" by hand

I will do it again in about 2 weeks i think. before that i will ad some trichoderma to aid the roots

next round i will only give Bacillus thuringiensis and the bacteria/mould Beauveria bassiana - and max some crysanthemum extracts like perlitre and pyrethum - i cant afford to get neem for a while

i also sprayed the room and the top part of the pots with pyrethum based insecticide spray of the brand bloom. its quite effective. in a test it showed to be the most effective safe aerosol for household use - even more so than the killPaff and actually this one is effective against all bugs - and the Killpaff is only against the blood sucking mosquitos.. AND its also available as an electrical insecticide - and this one is AGAIN more effective in tests against allmost all flying insects next winter i will get one of those! or even if i find it necesary later this spring/summer.

also im going to get an anti fungal cleaning product to clean the floor - and the wallls in the grow room - since the mould stain is not nice looking. its just one corner - but its damn scetchy.. wish i could put the extractor on max - but then i get the neighbours whyning... later - in about one month i WILL get a potenciometre/resistance (speed regulator ) to put on the extracion - that way i can put it on max for a while when i find the air in there to charged with humidity. im thinking of moving the rez out of there.. but i dont really have anywhere to put it! so there it will stay.. i will cut holes in the lid for the air tubes and close it more tightly. try to keep the mist/humid air inside there...

i have allready 3 chemical dehumidifiers in the room and i think i will ad a whole bunch more when i get dosh... hopefully before the budding starts too much hehehe.. the clones should get picked up in a few weeks time and then some dosh comes in for the grow

the few plants that arent sexed yet will hopefully just flower later and give some bud a bit after the others i got to admit some of the plants were far from "mature" some of them went into flowering with just 2-3 nodes.. like the some DC heavy hybrids i bet they will get going.. but later

this far it seems to be quite enough females - close to 40 from seed + clones and bushes. should end up quite ok

its going to get fun when i start to get closer to the budding cant wait!!

hehehe there is no bugs moving anywhere in the growroom.. NUKE'd em! hehe i will continue though... but it IS NICE to find dead larvae on the surface of the coco!

i gave also all plants a mix of 30/30 AB + atazyme, supervit and rhizotonic

i got paid today so i will be able to buy some products and material this weekend!!

there is something VERY special with the Johnny deeps (johny blaze x deep chunk).. the shape of the leafs, the vigor and vibrant looks it has we got a few very nice hybrids here with true hybrid vigor this far!! the growth rate is HIGH hehe by far the most vital of plants i got growing now. kicks the ass of the kalimist x astrofog in speed too. the thickness of the stem is very promising


mozambique

growth speed is very good - small water usage and needs little root space. this far very interesting looking indeed!


cascadia

lot of uniformity going on - most plants are very similar! they are keeping low this far. and looks like they are going to get quite chunky indeed! there is a few different smells going on - also i can see slight variation in the shape and seration of the leafes.


rox

dont know - it looks ok - but also at the same time it has a thin look to it..


Cheese TrainWreck

smells nice - has a alot of sativa influence but is keeping short internodes this far.


LDS..

looking very good also one hybrid vigor one - and the rest look more DC dominated


bogglegum

the one female im keeping is a really short and stout pheno. lets see how it yeilds etc


budular balls x destroyer - one female

Marleys Collie, Colombian, Jack Herer and Super Skunk - the leafs are really different to most i have grown before.. this one is quite promising also


the super G's and lovepotion

look somewhat similar this far they havent really gotten to start flowering properly yet.

last bogglegum i grew was quite ok - not as far as potent as it seemed from the hype, but still really good smoke - and wonderfull taste it was one of the favorites of that harvest!

The LSD used in that cross is the #4,unreleased.It´s Lifesaver x NYCD male sativa looking.
The JD is much more DC influenced than the LDS.Both are half sibling crosses(by the same father)

i see more dc influnce in the most of the LDS in comparison with the two other - about twice as tall as the 2 JD's. more stretch in the JD maybe?

daamn... the coco slabs i usually get has basicly double in price.. the growshops here are "la ostia" (incredible etc) they will try to fool you as much as possible... f**king scammers.. argh!!

same size slab but with half the coco - and for the same price!!

now im SERIOUSLY thinking of skipping all these local players - since they are loosers and un-reliable anyway. fook em.

now the coco is almost as expensive as the canna - but less worked - and thats not worth it... got to be realistic..

i got an ace up my sleeve and i might play it soon....
