One to all
Some breeders get it switched up, but Ace doesn't. Yeah female x maleA5 is female clone only. There’s no male A5 anymore as far as I know. Usually is the first named cultivar in a cross female.
So I presume Zam has always been the male.

Well this thread started as A5 haze x Zam regulars, so the Zamaldelica has to be a male, but I agree with what you're saying about creating fem seeds. The plant they reversed would still be named in the male or father position. In the Zam x A5 ….. the A5 female clone is reversed to create pollen, then that pollen is used to create fem seeds in the female Zamaldelicas.
In the A5 x Zam it’s the opposite, the female Zamaldelica clones are reversed to create pollen and that pollen is then used on the A5 clone. Same thing, creating fem seeds.
What consolidated is asking is what are the differences in the two different crosses in terms of growth, flower production, effects, terpines etc etc….. as switching the order of the pollinator vs the pollen receiver in this manner often creates different results in the offspring.
Just as an FYI to those that are curious and not already aware of this process.

Interesting question on the fem cross. If the mother/pollen donor makes a difference. Prolly dubi knows the answer.
There's a bunch of R & D crosses that have me interested, but I bought too many seeds already....I was thinking about picking up the fem version of this cross and C5 x Panama regs, that sounds great!
