Got a good long rain today. Should really kick them into gear! I think the heavy storms stayed away luckily. I bet the males came out and pollinated today before the rain. We'll see soon. :smoke:

we finally got some rain last nite as well. i was happy to see it come bc i have been going to the plots ever 2 days or so to keep them watered. the temps here have been in the mid to high 90s so that rain has cooled things down a bit. i dont know what it is but it seems after a good rain the plants grow so much better then if i just give them a ole hand watering. mother nature has it all worked out and mankind can never replicate it. just like using the Sun vs a light there is no comparison..they are two totally different flavors that will come out of a clone with 1 indoor and 1 outdoor.

Checked on the girls. Not much pollination to speak of. Going to wait 3 more days for things to develop. Pulled a few diseased leaves.

Nothing like a good rain to perk up the girls. We have another potential inch coming tomorrow and tomorrow night. Hope it dries again after a couple weeks for harvest. :smoke:

Went out and pulled the 4 remaining males. Good day for pollination. Dry crisp air, and breezy. Shook males over both plots, and stuck male stamen into leaves on the females to drop pollen tomorrow. :smoke:

Mold struck already, had to pick 2 little pea sized buds. Had a cold rain yesterday. Should be good over the next 10 days. :smoke:

Went a couple times over the last week to keep an eye on flowering stage. Sorry no picture updates yet. Tallest one is to the top of my finger tip, about 7-8 feet! Buds are up to 3/4 inch wide now! Stacking up fast! Got the males pulled and stuck flowers in the crotch of female fan leaves, to continue dropping pollen. Glad I cut it off when I did.

In the future, I need to leave a male in the back of the plot, north side, so I have a male on schedule. Taking out early males is great for allowing females to spread and fill in space, but then when it comes time to pollinate, we're waiting on them. Now that they finally dump pollen, some of the females are getting so mature, they will have too many flowers pollinated. Others though are just now pea sized buds, so I'm still on track with what is usually done.

Been excellent weather for flowering! Clear skies, high around 75-80 lows in the 50's. Flowers are making progress by the day with this kind of sunshine. God is Good! He's made a perfect creation. Have to just trust Him to witness His full Power! Update in a couple days, stay tuned! :smoke:

Good morning, Robrites! Nothing can substitute for weather co-operating! Wish there was something you could spray for that... :smoke:

We both think the same way Pipeline! I love nature and for me living every day and feel the sensations that nature give us are a real good present. For example I love smelling the wet floor from the countryside when it just has finished raining with the odour of the aromatic herbs... Mmm good!

were having great weather here to bro! just about the same temps as u. im excited for my heribei bc there wont be any fear of bud rot with the weather we are having and its one damn early strain. if may be something that u look into for next year as a photo strain to run from s.a.n.n.i.e

I was out enjoying the countryside today. There was a white native maybe clematis vine that was huge and had lots of bees. Smelled good. The creek even had a good smell. About to cut some grass. Love that smell.... Nothing tops the smell from a ripening herb plant! :smoke:

Was a beautiful day today. A little breeze with that sunshine to dry things out! I'll have to do some research on heribei. Its great to have a couple to pick early. My buddy especially needs something early. When they ripen at this time of the year, they get more direct light than in late September. That could mean higher potency and density!

there isnt alot of research on it. i did look before i bought it. there is a few things on overgrow fourm but not alot. i bascially wanted to try it just bc of all the good things i have read about s.a.n.n.i.e and since it was his outdoor strain for ppl like us i said why not. it was only 30$ for 5 fem seeds of it and so far i have not had no trouble out of it. not bud rot at all and when it starts to flower it flower very rapidly with bascially no stretch

Eventually the community will put together a good strain guide for everyone. One of the big things we need to work on. Its hard to describe the differences though, unless you've grown out several types. Even within a strain, there are different phenotypes, so you don't want to make a generalization based on one plant. Its very subjective and hard to describe smoke experiences. I bet we'll get a better guide in the coming years with a few states legalizing it now! :smoke:

I was reading last night, there is a guide for turning any strain into a fast flowering strain. I'll have to dig it up. Genetics for our gardens need to be true breeding. Inbred lines are a stable place to start making seed. The more hybridized, the less consistent the plants will be in later generations.

Went to work on the gardens today. Few more diseases leaves were pulled off. Dew sets really hard, and stays on for a little while because its so cool. Was breezy and sunny though which helps dry down quicker. On plot 2 had a nice half inch size branch break. No big deal though, it was on the shady side of the plot and may have gotten molded first anyway. The branches remaining on her will produce heavy and make up for it. Sure is nice having a bit of fresh herb to smoke on.

A banana spider/argiope was using one of my girls and had to wreck his web. I want the leaves free to see sunshine. I ended up leaving him, he said he takes care of the plants... Going to throw up a couple to get started then go out for a pipe before posting the rest. Very special time of year, buds are stacking fast with the clear conditions lately!

Stick is holding the torn bark in place so it will hopefully heal and keep out infection.
