There's something that no-one has picked up on here. Neville said he got his Haze beans from a guy in NYC and it was from those that his three Haze breeding plants descended. Folks have speculated this Piff is a type of Haze, maybe a pheno of Neville's Haze, well has anyone considered that it might be a hybrid of the line that Neville ways he got from a guy in NYC and that's why it has a Haze smell?

I was under the impression that it being a pheno of Neville's Haze was ruled out.

I think it is more accurate to say that you can find some "Piff smelling" phenos of Neville's Haze.

And if Neville got his three breeding haze mom's from seeds from a guy in NYC, would not the "pure" Uptown Haze be considered the parental lineage of NEVILLE'S HAZE?

I notice that some strains have a "Piff" smell to them. Especially when burned. You can catch whiffs of the "Piff" odor.

I think what I was looking for was the strain that IS THE "PIFF" ODOR, with possibly undertones of something else. Not the "Piffyness" being the undertone. Like some Neville's phenos have been said to have.

Damn. I wish I knew what that PIFF smell means. Is it the spiciness that comes in alot of our more sativa blends?? Hell IDK.

does the piff smell like kalimist .the kali has a incense smell when burnt like a church smell.
it does not smell like weed at all. their are different phenos that smell like skunk but the killer pheno smells like some spicy incense . and the high is electric .i think the kali has some Thai
in it. its some kind of south east Asia sativa that simon said was in the kali and no haze.

but i would like to be a tester of the piff if you need a tester. i grow all organic with a peat\coco mix. the mix is called vics super soil. in 5 gallons of soil. and have 8 ft head space .

omg, i have been waiting forever to see what an uptown haze plant would look like. i grew up on long island and made frequent trips to get haze lived in the city for a while, conviently wit a chick with a dominican boyfriend which was hookin me up with 300 oz of haze. you described the texture dead on as stringly, its wierd but that smell and taste is so unique and amazing. you gotta make these genetics available man, i am really shocked to find out its not a 100 percent sativa though. but it makes sense that it was just harvest madd. the nugs were always too stringy and wierd to really get a good representation of what this flower really looked like on the plant or before it was manhandled. anyways i really appreciate what ur doing and loved reading through that thread. god bless.

This is a strain midwest people talk about and people that move from NY down south talk about. I'd be very excited to see this on the west coast. People have been chasing the chemdawg and kush crosses, so it's always nice to mix it up.

I love herb that when you're puffing it people can smell it and it's obvious what it is. There was some Kali Mist like that. Amazing smell and taste.

its interesting too me that nev has a diff story of recieving seeds from ny in 69.
becaz the nyc haze i smoke is without a doubt the best haze ive smoked .
also interesting is the o.haze was mexican x colombian wen hb first started
and the nyc hazes has these traits frankincense sandalwood spicey peppery

frankies =catpiss spicy frankincense

haze bros haze = catpiss sandalwood

those 3 seeds had to be of colmX mex hybrid of som hbh first crops

those of us that have had it (no matter how many time we've had it) always remember the first time we smoked nyc haze. The first time I bought mine was off of this Italian dude that lived by the projects. I didn't keep him as a connect long; but the memory stayed forever. I'm glad you found what you were looking for man.
