...And these other "bumblebees" are really fat (the other day, at dawn; I think there were 4 or 5 "Chinooks"...):
Went to water the garden, had the truck loaded with 107 gallons of water, and the plot looked like it still had plenty of moisture. So we drove back and watered the vegies with it. I am trying to figure out how to water correctly. In the past when the plants are large I go by the recommendation to water about `10% of the soil volume, but in the spring thats a little much I think. The plants aren't using that much moisture yet and it can get too wet. This plot has afternoon shade so it is slower to dry out.
Its good to let the plants dry down and only water them when needed. This avoids root rot and other diseases and also promotes and deeper, healthier root system. I didn't want to water them and slow them down!
Everything did grow pretty good this week I was glad to see. A few leaf spots that are light yellow faded spots about a quarter to a half inch in diameter. I have seen them in the past. I think its due to overwatering, or the chicken manure fertilizer. Its pretty minor right now, so not too worried about it.
Going to wait until next weeken to water. Saw a couple preflowers on the Paradaise Cheese hybrids, and pulled a male mutant Satica Candy Chunk.
Will get the rest up soon.
Perhaps that swarm of Chinooks was attempting to corral a tic-tac UFO spotted in the area....And these other "bumblebees" are really fat (the other day, at dawn; I think there were 4 or 5 "Chinooks"...):

I like my outdoor but i love giving it away lol. People are very happy and I harvested too much so it makes me feel ok about growing so much.I actually give away most of what I get outdoors to my old neighbors that smoke. They try to grow but not much. Indoor is for the clients, outdoor is to give a reason for any smell lol.
I know its late but maybe you can try something like Christmas lights wrapped around the plants? Add a solid couple hours before/after sunrise/set or during twilight/dusk etc.. if its in your yard could be possible with an extension cord if you have all that lying around. Or if you have something like remesh or hardware cloth build a simple thing with a post or stake and wrap the lights around the metal and remove during the day. Probably will be fine on its own in time thoughWell we've been having a very cloudy an rainy week. No real progress on her starting to veg again

I'll take 100 of them chipsI read that $100 casino chips are sometimes also referred to as Bumblebees.
Related to a casino making black and yellow $100 chips, and somebody else doing a good job counterfeiting those chips.
I'll take 100 of them chips

@el mani which males were you hoping for? I only have one Deep Chunk and crossing my fingers for it to be male as well.
Several plants are kicking on all cylinders, starting to grow fast after the rains last week! Have more rain in the forecast so can take a break from the watering for now! I'd rather see the garden go another 1-2 weeks without water and dry down than water again today when it doesn't need it. We want those roots searching for moisture and growing a larger structure in preparation for flowering.

Leaf spots. I have seen them in the past, keeping an eye on them. Anyone know what causes these? I think its a root issue.
I have seen those leaf spots pop up in the past at another location, but they were more pronounced. May just use some composted cow manure and cottonseed meal in late July/ early August just in case its the chicken manure compost mix "Healthy Grow" causing the spots. Could that be due to overwatering?
Overwatering usually makes the leaves cup and curl downward from what I have seen. There are only a couple plants that have leaves with cupping/downward pointing leaves so must of the plot is draining well. Forgot the rake when I went to work the bed this spring so I had to try to level it with the shovel, so there is a slight low spot where i see those symptoms. I can move some soil there to improve the grade.
Plants are beginning to show some character and growing fast. Supposed to be rain in the next few days and be about average so just going to let the Lord take care of them so long as it doesn't too dry.
Pulled some weeds and a half dozen plants that were yellow and diseased, runts, or mutant. Going out later to scout for preflowers. Get the unwanted males out as soon as possible so the females have time to fill in the gaps. Was surprised to see the Paradise Cheese x Hindu Kush being the first to show preflowers, but thye are in the front of the garden, so that helps. Starting to see some branches sprouting, its boom time!
Galatians 3:5-8, 26-29 NKJV
5 Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?— 6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” 7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
----------------
26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Paradaise Cheese x Hindu Kush-- kind of a funky plant. Leaf morphology and structure show it may have a genetic mutation. Will wait and see how it grows.

When chickens go bad.... These are some of the worst ones. Should grow out of it, been thought this before. Just don't want to put any more down this year. I would think if I went with a lower rate it wouldn't burn but I'm not going to try it before flower. It usually shows slight symptoms after application, but the fertilizer boosts growth to compensate for it.
Looking great, Revegetta! What strains do you have going there besides DC? Sharp looking group of hashplants! Time to transplant soon!Little planties getting used to the sun.

Well, I was very interested in a destroyer male, sweet sativa or peyote (this is more difficult), on the other hand, almost all the old ones from sensi seeds have come out, the sssdh x jh from karma, sour gum and sweets...Little planties getting used to the sun.

Nice healthy-looking plants there, and seeing these makes me less worried about the late start I've had this year because my seedlings are only a bit smaller than these beauties, while still under 16/8 lighting.Little planties getting used to the sun.

Pakistani crosses, mostly. What strains do you have going there besides DC?

Growing good, just some slight burn. They really soaked up the water this time, they were thirsty.
Its hard to get all the water to soak in, the garden is on a hill. Need to put in compost as soon as possible.
Deep Chunk x Blueberry stems are really thick. They're in the best light back in that corner! Starting to get some height at just above the knees!

Does your site get waterlogged at all? Are you adding the compost for better moisture retention and resilience or to feed the plants? Its hard to get all the water to soak in, the garden is on a hill. Need to put in compost as soon as possible.
