Thank you for the great thread on OE. This thread is 75 pages long so lots of research. Anyone know how much room to give in between each plant. This is an outdoor grow full term 6 mo. can I get away with 10 ft centers, or is that going to be crowding things?

Edit: I second what hatter says, soils off in some way. Likely hot. Thanks

Thanks theHatter and Biosynthesis. Things have improved. I hate to admit what I did:yoinks::yoinks: Yes it was hot alright but not the soil. I was checking the PH of water and smelled a slight bleach aroma. I guess I accidently dumped some left over water from sterilizing the tent into my main water bucket. Who knew plants dont like bleach?:shucks::shucks:

NENugger, I struggle with posting pictures too. I need Syd Barret to come take pictures for me. I took two of my smoke testers out to dinner last night. They fired up some OE. That had been cured for 6 months. It was a VB dominant phenotype. I loved the aroma, they really enjoyed the effects. Pulled a $100.00 ticket in pulltabs. A very quality time enjoyed by all. Thanks Ace! Peace

I have only one OE x Nepjam going this summer. I am running a wider variety of genetics to see what likes the outdoors here in a greenhouse. No blackout system just natural light cycle. Peace

That sounds great farmerlion, will you post progress of the OExNJ? I was thinking of trying one outdoors in guerrilla but I have my doubts regarding chunky buds in bad autumn weather. I think this hybrid should be very productive but in my parts september and october time is usually very humid and damp, with some years occasionally spectacular autumn weather.
I hope you find some keepers for your climate, it's always a hassle and learning process with selecting a proper seed for one's environment.
Good luck

Cheers

Orient Express

This is my sole OE at just about week 9. I will let her go one more week maybe less and I'll chop. 80% of the trichomes are cloudy white so I could take her now as she is really putting out some strong odors. She did pretty good in my led environment and was a voracious feeder...probably could have fed her past week 7 and still wouldn't be enough. She was very low maintenance so long as she had enough food...very easy plant to grow.

ended up with 2 from a pack from 2011, (f2 generation)

quite different plants, one much more sativa growth. but tight indica nugs. in 8 weeks. lots of spicy hashplant smell. potent

one more squat, slower to grow. indica/hybrid looking. looser buds.less smell not as potent.

will enjoy looking through a few more

Wow Jahaze. I can only hope my OE grow turns out like yours. Impressive. What nutes did you use?
This bud is in organic soil, first week.

Thanks NENugger. I use ACT for the most part. I use homemade compost in my soil mix and amend the bottom of the containers usually. I typically just water and maybe twice a month feed with ACT. However, for this particular plant I top dressed halfway through flower with some fresh EWC and a mild dusting of blood meal. For the next run I will put in a bigger layer of compost and maybe an extra layer of ewc to see how she does. I don't recall using any store bought nutrients directly...fish emulsion and kelp but that was bubbled in the tea and then added at the stated frequency.

got it. I had to look up ACT but found it here. I may build an aerator at some point but I do have the EWC and blood meal so will go with that for now.

JAHAZE! Beautiful flowers! Eye turningly beautiful! I have to stop and look at them more carefully as they looked so good.
Maybe another strain from Ace for my ever expanding Wish List of plants to grow and sample.
Look forward to the smoke report.

Can't quite put my finger on it....

Can't quite put my finger on it....

Well it's been about 6 weeks? I haven't got the exact flower time, nor can I exactly pinpoint some of these smells... sweet & sour fruit? There was minimal time in veg, couple weeks. She has indica single cola squat structure, but when you look at the cylax formation there is stacking and looks sativa formation, very cool. (Not the best pic showing it).
