Looking good SolarLogos. Take a look at my updates on the OTHxMT today. You will see the ‘chunk’ that comes from the Meao. A little taste...

Got it CodyPomeray. Sounds like you know and are doing exactly what you want. Can’t wait to follow along.

Dont let my fancy hat fool you, I am a moron. ;D

Those are just my rough plans based on a few books and some experience. I am totally open to changing things up on the fly.

I feel like rounds 1 and 2 will just be about finding parents and expanding seed stock. I will do a few smaller crosses on 1 and 2, but there wont be enough plant mass to really produce the amoutn of seeds I want.

I got a few plans for rounds 3-10 but thats whenever we get there :D

3 females and 2 male sound good for the initial seedstock setup? Then either cull down 2 females and a male, or leave everythign alone till I test progeny.

Not sure exactly how that will go but, seat of the pants and all that.

Thanks for the input from yall, humbly listening and learning.

Love it, UHN. Your run of PH/MT several years ago (I think it was yours) was what caused me to pick up the seeds and give them a go.

Awesome, it probably was. Indoor, I think? With my current run, what a couple of days make. Hopefully post a few more pics on my thread.

After looking under the scope, I think my Green Haze x Thai may go another week or two. The Purple Haze x Thai might be a New Years harvest. I think dubi said the OTH x Thai’s would finish a few weeks earlier than pure OTH, so I’d expect a 2020 harvest for sure. Purple OTH and crosses seem to be about 2 weeks behind their green counterparts. It always amazes me how dubi knows the inside and out of his genetics. Goes to show how much time they’ve spent with each cultivar. I don’t know of too many breeders out there that can say that.

We are in the ground.....Little nervous. Some of the seeds were a bit smaller than I like, but noticed the same with the durban I planted. Not worked with landrace sativas much, maybe they are just smaller seeds in general. Didnt do the entire normal method of germination I do, but soaked in h202 1:5 with water for 6 hours, then did a paper towel for 12 hours. 7-8 of 30 of the durban cracked and had tails, no OTH had tails. Not worried though, going to just leave them be and give them the time they need. Lets hope this goes good, most exciting grow to date with these babies and Ive done some fun shit in my time.

Willy,

I’m at 33 w both green and purple haze x Thai. Green next week or two, purple...soon after. Let’s see how I compare to someone a little farther north.

How would folks suggest this seed run? Usually I do not clone down the seeds and just reveg but that is normally working with indicas/hybrids. Do sativas reveg properly enough to get a new clone mother from?

Anyone with exerience on this?

I do not mind cloning down all the OTH and durban I have when the time comes and flipping the clones then saving a few clones as parents, but that would make plant counts increase quite exponentially.

Any thoughts would be great. So far 6 durban sprouts and 2 OTH poking their heads out. Beyond excited for the journey to come.

I’ll be trying to reveg my OTHxMT. Not sure if I will just leave them in potting bed and hope they live long enough to reveg this spring, or if I will try and repot and place under 16+ lights.
