Beautiful buds, I had this pheno last year (not looking as good as yours) needs to be slightly compacted in the jar for shelf life once dried or gets easily too dry for a smooth smoke.

Was piney mostly, not really incense. Not extremely tasty but an extremely clear high which made everything interesting and put me in a good mood. Got 2 OTH in the garden now, while I'm hoping to experience different phenos I wouldn't be disappointed if this one popped again

...in the greenhouse? How? Beam them in? Man they're huge them lovely speciments...
Looking forward to seeing them finish on you!

:tiphat:orfeas
Through more sober eyes, I can see the dilemma, particularly since they are still stretching! Perhaps my enthusiasm got in the way of wise planning, but many lessons learned this year shall be put to good use in the next season. I wear no mask, just inexperience on my part. For now, I will have to put them into the ground inside the greenhouse in order to lower their height. That still leaves no room for lights in the greenhouse, again, poor planning. The Honduran x Panama are the real beasts and will have to brave late fall I'm afraid. Even if I could tie their tops down, there is no room in the GH as they are too bushy.
Future long-flowering strains will either be started late (June or early July) or take the clone in June and cull the mother.
New growing season=new learning season.
Peace, God bless

Very impressive OTH Big. Must respect :tiphat:. You will enjoy that smoke I guarantee.

When I ran my OTH/Green Haze's I found that the main thing besides lowering the light cycle which I had mine on 10/14 was the lowest. Was upping the PK. Some people might advise against this but I use advance nutrient so my PH is perfect. When I used Overdrive I basically was using almost double the dose of what it said to use of the NPK during late flowering and also adding double cal/mag to help with nut burn so it didn't burn. I hardly had any burning of the leaves. Only wish I was running more than a 600 watt system at the time. These hazes need crazy intense light as Dubi has stated to me. They grow where light is at the point of max intensity. Hope this helps in any way. Happy growing as always.

High, i have one Green Haze 1 week and a few days in 11/13 with Led Cob 100w+100w+80w,is this enough for a plant at this size? I never had a plant this big before flowering and that size container.
I was very impressed about the taste and High of Purple Haze and OTH and I wanted to try Green Haze to as the description of the high is more what I want. Really love you're Haze line and it doesn't smell I don't need a carbon filter, thank you Ace Seeds.

Welcome ankhor :)

Thanks for your interest in experiencing the old school extreme tropical sativas of yesterday, Oldtimer's Haze is without any doubt a good example of them.
Oldtimer's Haze line is very homocygous, this means you won't find much genetic diversity in the line to drift her to something very different unless you can grow big population.

We at ACE have been growing and breeding with Oldtimer's Haze in a coastal mediterranean climate since 2006. Oldtimer's Haze would show its best potential outdoors in a tropical/subtropical climate, but it finishes quite good in a coastal mediterranean climate, usually finishing in Xmas time/New Year. Unless you have frosts in your area, Oldtimer's Haze will finish well, despite its tropical origin, it can handle quite well the cold, and is extremely resistant against botrytis, strong rains and winds.

There are some very pale yellowish Oldtimer's Haze phenos which grow, flower, taste and hit like old school Colombian Gold.

Wish you the best for your tropical grow. Please, keep us updated.

Oldtimer's Haze was breed in United States, California, using the best Colombian strains of yesterday. Thanks all to make it possible young people like me can try this amazing hybrid of old pure sativa strains breed for smoke purpose, let call it what is it: ganja plant. : )) and i think all of us love this, because is made for fun purpose, depression leaves your soul and brain, I know that not because i have telepaty or weird powers, know that because i love Haze too. jajaja <3

Thanks all old smokers for explain the experiences and how easy can dissapear one strain, because know I know and understand, this old colombian strains was breed with indica because of the flower time and more production, fast way that makes disaper the magic, the ganja.

I think i will need 8 years for adaptate OTH in their own way, with ARTIFICIAL SELECTION for ganja purpose, to mediterranean climate, and using indoor 600w(should speed up 1-2 generation more every year). I supose good things need time, and OTH deserve this time, because we can access to the very best old strains that old smokers experience when young, like Colombian Gold, Punto rojo, purple colombian, red, green tropical, and the recombinations of this amazing haze line. The possibility are huge, but first need time to explore, since I cant grow a lot of plants, time will be valuable friend.

Some have gold-yellow color!! maybe is colombian gold?

Love this thread, thanks all for the shared information,

Congrats on the harvest, Big Nasty :tiphat:

Really a classic late maturing Green Haze pheno of indoors irregular ripening. Please, let us know your opinion about her after a bit of curing. Enjoy! ;)

i've just harvested the first green oldtimer's haze:it takes 20 weeksto see some amber trichome and 90% of brownish hairs.

Very happy with the outcome:good production, the smell begin with something metallic then change into a lemony/lime dish soap.
I also made some seed to play with, now there 's only one thing left to do...

Welcome cristocel420 :)

Glad you enjoyed with our Purple Haze release and that the experience motivated you want to revisit the Oldtimer's Haze, this time with the Green Haze.

Your Green Haze female looks happy and with good (yet manageable) size for a small cabinet indoor grow. With this kind of tropical sativas the stronger the light intensity the better, but guess she will work fine with your lights, especially if the LEDs are of good quality.

Best wishes for the flowering stage, please let us know if you have any doubt during her development.

High, i have one Green Haze 1 week and a few days in 11/13 with Led Cob 100w+100w+80w,is this enough for a plant at this size? I never had a plant this big before flowering and that size container.

it’s already autumn and the growing room has to be heated. this makes it possible to control the temperature. It’s interesting to know which phenotype my Haze belongs to.
Tell me which temperature mode to choose for OTH for 140 days (90 days 11 \ 13 and 50 days 10 \ 14). at the moment the daytime temperature is 25-27C, the night temperature is 18C.

Hi rindindoo,

Your indoor 'day' temps are correct, i would recommend you to increase slightly the night temperatures up to 24ºC .... tropical sativas don't like colder temps, unless until end of flowering.
The night temps should be always slightly lower than the day temps to imititate the temperatures in outdoor conditions.

JordyBeans Oldtimer's Haze pics

@jordybeansgenes has kindly shared some of his great indoor Oldtimer's Haze pics with us. The 'beast' took 24 weeks of flowering to finish indoors (and still reflowering!) .... he crossed her Oldtimer's Haze female with indica genetics and he's getting very good yielding and indoor friendly sativa dominant hybrids of approx 10 weeks of flowering time.

Pure Oldtimer's Haze indoor pictures from him.
Thank you Jordy

Very classic OTH grow jordybeansgenes. Not to many growing her out, props for sure man. I noticed Purple Haze is currently sold out every where online and will not be available for quite some time. Glad I bought a few packs of these many years ago. No longer a thread for her as well. Did it get discontinued or just redoing beans? Thanks and happy growing all.

Hi Dr King,

We mostly open pollinated Oldtimer's Haze in latest reproduction of the strain .... mainly green and gold phenotypes..... also our Green Haze # 19 and Purple Haze #23 were pollinated... although offspring coming from Purple Haze mother sold out very fast. We won't be able to work on a new Purple Haze release until we can work on a new Oldtimer's Haze reproduction, which won't happen in short term.

Here is an Oldtimers Haze I have crammed in the back of my tent under a 600 watt HPS. I've had to do some significant supercropping and other measures to make it fit. I know there are some yellow leaves but I'd rather have that than an overfed plant.

A couple clones I took after it started flowering. Called Monster Cropping?

Also, that plant came from seed made with a male and female from a pack of five seeds from ACE. I ended up with three females and two males. I pollinated the fastest flowering female with the fastest male. I'm happy with it. Can't wait for it to be finished.
