I never thought one could take cuttings so late!
Very informative post.
hola siever. these girls are the harvested plants,
with around 2 nodes of bottom buds for revegging.
all were grown bonsai style, and rarely got over 1ft. tall.
(small pots)

Lo that looks just like my purple girl you are blessed LT
cheers LT. she may be able to finish in around 16-17wks next time around.
(if her reveg works out)
her bud, bottom, compared with a green haze from this harvest...
picture.php

aroma from both the purple bud, and her reveg stump,
is lightly sweet "berrywood"- beautiful.

Hey Dubi!

sorry to barge in like this, I was gifted a package of Old timer's haze with the package date as 10/08/16, is there any chance there is any information about the pheno's used for batches that packaged around that time?

Also working my way thru the thread, but would like to ask are their any reports to which type of indoor light this strain would appreciate more? (i don't think outdoor is a possibility i'm in around the 44*-45* on the inland) Yes i understand it will be a daunting task to tame them for indoor growth I am more than up for the challenge.

thanks

Hi Maple_Flail,

Your Oldtimer's Haze pack comes from the latest reproduction done with the strain using mainly Green Haze phenos.

Oldtimer's Haze line is too tropical to be grown outdoors at 45º latitude in a continental climate, but it can be grown indoors with a bit of patience and keeping under control her stretching in the first weeks of flowering, it's much easier to grow Oldtimer's Haze indoors from clone than from seed, old sativa clones tend to switch to flower much faster than from seed. Oldtimer's Haze hybrids are much easier to grow indoors than 'pure' Oldtimer's Haze.

You can flower Oldtimer's Haze indoors with HPS or MH lights, or both.

Hope it helps.

cheers dubi, that purple one turned into a nice surprise.
it even finished first, with ambers showing at about 18wks
of 11/13. this was from seed, after 5wks veg before flowering.
ended up taking her down 2dys shy of 19wks.
her reveg is starting to put out the goofy reveg growth...
View Image

the wispy wheat pheno also ended up turning purple towards the very end,
which you can see in her reveg...
View Image

took her exactly 1wk after the first purple, the last of this haze grow,
along with the tallest green haze.

the rest of the hazes were harvested in the time between.
so, this oldtimers haze flowering went almost 20wks total,
add 5wks for seed-launch and a bit of veg and you've got
yourself a half-year long little project.

airy sativa revegs need to be kept from dry winter air,
so got 'em in their own private idaho's, and sitting
under very bright 5000K LED flood-light replacements.
purple wheat pheno, right...

unlike halogen, etc. these LEDs provide
natural color balance picture results

Thanks for the explanation LowFalutin,

You are becoming a real expert growing these kind of extreme tropical sativas indoors in small spaces, and for being able to reveg them without problems ;)

Hope you have found interesting parental plants in this new batch to continue with your sativa breeding projects

purple haze reveg,
23dys from harvest...

the other haze revegs are just beginning to show new shoots.
the purple one, above, really took to it and is moving faster.
been slowly trimming the buds back as the new foliage comes on,
to get the flowering hormones out of her system.

i try to keep reveg's (and freshly taken clones) in the middle of the green zone...

I just flipped one of these about 2 weeks ago. Still hasn't shown sex. Hoping for a female, but if it's a male, I won't let the pollen go to waste. Now I have a spot to post pics when/if I have any.

A Green Haze and a Purple (well, reddish ...) Haze finished indoors by a happy grower who wants to share his results with us :) He reports 'life changing' sativa effects from his Oldtimer's Hazes.
Thanks and congrats for the patience and courage for growing indoors these extreme tropical sativa! :thank you:

So the OTH I have is a confirmed male. Now to cull him or collect some pollen. He is awful branchy for male. Gonna have to give him a smell tonight and see what he's like. I've had the plant going for a few months. So would be a shame not to use him for something.

Hi willydread,

'Pure' Oldtimer's Haze has the same flowering time and similar outdoor resistance compared with released Green Haze Thai versions, so you should be able to finish Oldtimer's Haze in the same way you did with our previous Haze x Thais.

Hey Willly, to speed up flowering time, I would induce flowering indoor, make clones and flower the clones outdoor.

I saw when he posted those on his instagram. There were a number of people came in leaving negative feedback about how long it takes to flower and how it ends up looking. Left realizing they dont know what they are talking about, and there is whole world of canna they have yet to explore. A whole new world of possibilities. Lol.

Not everyone can appreciate the high of true sativa, specially the young people the who are used to the strong indica hybrids, time ago i share few spliff of green haze thai with one friend, after one hour of laugh, philosophical speeches and happy moments, he told me that the grass was light, and that he felt nothing ....all this while he was still laughing!!!
