Beautiful pics Raco! Could you give a brief description of the X-18 and a comparison to deep chunk since it is a portion of this mix?
Hola Zamalito,
Here are one DC (left) and one X-18 females started from seed the same day.

Tom told me that the x-18 grows more like the PTK :D

Yes, the X-18 is a Paki different from PTK.

"Tom, If its not too tedious for you could you give me a brief description of the mexi, thai, hawaiian and african lines used in the mix."

There are a couple of old Mexicans used in these hybrids. There were these very cerebral plants that grew lime green spears with bright orange hairs, not sure of its exact origin. Then there is certainly some Oaxacan in there too, one of the largest yielding plants on the planet no doubt.

Same goes for the Thai, both Chocolate & Stick varieties. The Chocolate Thai had some of the largest seeds I've ever seen in cannabis. While shipments of this import had a nice mellow mocha flavor the plants grown domestically always were very citrus like in flavor. The Chocolate Thai was pretty racy pot & I caught myself doing a lot of pacing back & forth on this stuff, then burning out really hard for the rest of the day. This pot gave you the munchies like no other, you'd be full to the point that your gut was gunna burst, but you had to eat just a little more.
The older Thaistick varieties were more variable in there results when grown but a more spicy flavor was common. Seeds were small usually. Some of these were incredibly potent. This was extremely "expando" pot that went off like a bomb in the lungs & always made my ears turn red.

The best Hawaiian bud in my neighborhood was based on these earlier Thaistick varieties & was very similar. Extremely spicy expando bud that blew your head off & made you afraid to paddle out when the surf was big :D

The African was a pathetic grower & a 6-7 month season brought it to about 4-5 ft tall & half as wide. When dried & cured this pot was almost black as if it had been water cured. This was some of the best bud I've ever smoked & it took top honors quite frequently at local harvest parties. It was another spicy racy & incredibly cerebral pot.

None of this mix are from seeds that I made personally. There are about 3 DC hybrids in there that I collaborated on but all were collected from others in my neighborhood over many years.

Its great to see these out there, have fun with em folks.

om, thankyou so much for the incredibly valuable and honourable donation you have made to the genepool, these old genetics are invaluable to say the least, that mendo mix sounds like it contains some awesome potential and it is very good news to know they are in good hands around the world.

Bonecarver made a 3-way cross...X-18/DC x PTK!!

Wow, that sounds awesome. I suppose that is similar to what SSSC/Sensi Seeds whatever they were called did to make their Afghan, as they said it is made of 3 different pure indicas.

Looks like you are all having a good time growing and sharing! Isnt that what it's all about. I love surfing Mendocino county. Seems like the cold water keeps out the crowds. It's wierd to see houses where there used to just be cliffs. Thanks goodness for the Surfrider Foundation.
