yes i have grow out these strains years ago before my bust i was known as spunout.
these strands were my best seed varietys all anyone who cares needs to know is these strands are some of the best if not the very best ever created

Pardon my rant......but man o man.... cali growers and breeders complain when they are the ones who ruined the sour name with their garbage "sour." Trying hard to break in the new york/mid atlantic/new England market but couldn't because those beef and broccoli bags were killing em. Nobody wanted that fabric softener smelling northern lights, or.the "chronic." That was for girls. I remember the ecsd in the late 90s..some young Jewish kid (I think he was also known as weasel), the cartoon network and Branson was putting out and back during that period.......nobody gave 2 flying fuks about some cali weed and they knew it. BUT....that's when the Blue Ridge/smoky mountains fiasco and the cartoon network got busted. Then the great east coast drought..... then 5k pounds of top shelf siphoned from dispensaries, then pound after pound after pound of nuted up gh 3 part garbage full of pcbs for us east coast know nothings to enjoy. Then when the market changed and bottom dropped, 100k for 100 of trash outdoor and fools call it sour. And ever since...it's outdoor garbage from cali that all smells slightly sour for 1600, or 3 part Lucas garbage reliant on good genetics and zero grow skills that assholes who can't even take clones are wanting 35 for. Buy a bunch of clones, throw up some lights, wheel in the gh and hope they dont die before harvest because "those east coast smokers wont know the difference." "We'll call it "kush."

Trust me....a friend just came back from cali after trying to learn the grow game from his connect and promptly dropped 20k+ on a grow with some bullshit genetics, a wack recipe, a badly designed growroom, and all the assurances in the world from his bay area "friends" that he would be able to pull off 12 lights, 2 locations, 3 co2 burners with exactly zero grow experience. Telling him to supercrop, put up a trellis (but not lollipop so imagine the dead foliage under the canopy). Advanced grow techniques some of which I haven't even tried yet and I can pull 550g off a 600 regularly with no co2 or scrog. They told him to just follow the instructions in the notebook. I've got 16 now and I'm ABOUT to run co2. But I'm 2 years of bi weekly perpetual harvests in this.

Hate to rant, bit I don't really have anyone to rant about this to, and it's really annoying for someone to come back and be so impressed with the shiny things people got by selling weed they can't give away in California and get top dollar here for. Glad I'm a good enough friend to be honest, convince him to scrap his methods and allow me to fill both locations with clones from my mothers.....that's how real friends do, not your fake buddies that set you up to fail, probably mad you weren't going to be lining their pickets anymore....

I can´t talk about the rest, but if you have zero experience and you go into a grow of that size, imho you´re shooting yourself on the head.
It´s like you have never driven a car and you buy a Ferrari; probably you will crash...
If you have never grown and you start with that size of grow, quite probably, your motivation N 1 is money, not to learn to grow, don´t blame anyone but your greed.

I seriously was beginning to think I was alone.
I have a friend that regularly gets imports from cali(i think). Each time he comes to me to show me the "new" strain he swears he thinks this one is some indoor.

There is always some new name, yet they mostly smell and taste the same. This dude is paying top dollar for poorly trimmed, hot burning outdoor. I just refuse to support it.

My buddy just came back from cali today and all he could get was 3 bagseeds. He even told me someone that was giving "him" advise asked "Well, why would I give you a clone?"

I went to Co for cuts and he went to cali. I learned that compared to what I found in Denver and what he is telling me about cali buds. I smoke some of the best stuff on the market, clone or not.

I can only speak for the Chemdog story being real. I 've met and worked with JoeB AKA Chemfather, I've broken bread with Pbud. I received a package from Chem himself. Pbud picked up some Skelly hashplant flowers in colorado and drove them to a Colorado Grateful Dead show in the early 90's. JoeB, Pbud's friend, sold flowers to Chem. Chem found seeds. BOOM Chem line. Thats the short and sweet version..

$500 for an oz of weed in the 80's.... unless jack and his magic beans was the grower imo it will always be B.S.

I found it at the police station on a desk and stole a cut. It's I got some over priced nice weed and got a dozen seeds and grow them out.

I once got a visit from a mate who popped a dozen seeds from some bud I had growing. A week later the cops bust me and took my seeded crop. A few months later I got some seeds back and I grow some nice bud and a legend was born. True story and probably more exciting than the chemD story if I got into it but why would I? The stuff that makes it over here, I would rarely even put into my lungs. How do you get so many strains to smell and taste the same? I just don't get it.

But I am thankful for there to be so much b and c grade "exotics" around.

It would be way more "worth it" to be a good planter on this side of the country. The prices are determined by the quality. Some still get 300+ per zip.

Over there a living can be made at 50-100 per zip,just grow huge trees in your yard. Get a greenhouse and start a light dep. Indoor is where its at on a quality scale, but outdoor is way cheaper to produce and give way more.

I took a few shots of the last "top shelf" my buddy bought over. I compared it to some fresh non cured kool aid kush home grown.
Not even close. At 187.50 per zip I guess it's not that bad.

First I saw this

I remember a simpler time when weeds name was a location like Mexican, Jamaican, Colombian and Thai to name a few. And you had a general idea of where they came from by looks, tastes and effects.

Then I saw this and realised that when America and indoor growing and the medical marijuana movement of the past 20+ yrs and the Amsterdam influence esp genetics and name brands and seedbanks and the demand. Especially people who sell fake strains be it seeds, clones, or bud. Unless we start doing genetic tests on every known strain we wont know shit.
How many times has someone hermied a clone only strain for feminised seeds? And how many of those seeds provided mothers for countless other crosses. And crosses. And crosses backcrossed with the same mother. Lets not forget that each cross involves a mother or father thats more than likely the result of this same process.

Just face it. Mary janes the coolest girl I know. But shes been raped so harshly for so long. In so many ways (micro-cabs?) But shes still here strong.

Shes hands down the most useful plant in the world. I say all that to say this: I would rather have it this way than how it would be if corporate big business got ahold.
