Since @dubi mentioned it, how did you correct your soil fungi issues? I have a 2 mo. old Golden Tiger X Panama seedling that has no vigor. Am thinking about doing a copper fungicide soil drench and copper spray, specifically using a chemistry called copper sulfate pentahydrate, a systemic. I know it is prone to pythium as I lost 4 Ace seeds and seedlings to pythium rot few months back.

My issue with the fungus was solved by not letting my roots touch dirt in my yard. I have all of my plants and peppers in bags sitting on ac infinity watering trays. All my fungal issues came from my yard being a former cotton field. No issues with fungus this year thankfully.

This fall I am going to absolutely soak the fake grass area inside my shade house with a copper based solution. I’m eventually going to do a bunch of raised beds in that area and don’t want issues after all that work installing those.

I had a vigor issue this year with a Panama haze that ended up being a phosphorus deficiency. Hit it with some high P seabird guano and boom, took off. Was kind of odd because it got the same feed as everything else at the same rates and it’s the only one that acted up.

Did some research on the Trich, very interesting how it induces a hormonal influence such that there's new root and leaf growth. This assuming it works with cannabis. Will give it a go, thanks for the info. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10725-011-9610-1

Kicker is all products have a very short shelf life, even frozen I read on one that it's only 8 months. So, because it's so expensive you best buy small quantities. I'm researching sources......

If you want a cheap source of tric, try growing any kind of mushroom and just be sloppy about it. You’ll have freaking tric everywhere. I added about 30lbs of tric covered lion's mane substrata that I messed up this summer to my garden.

Nice! I can buy shroom compost by the bag or truckload albeit a 3 hour drive.

Hi @acespicoli looks like seedlings are showing major macro nutrient deficiencies. Seems there's a problem with soil and/or water. I would recommend to transplant to bigger pots with new soil rich in high quality dark peat and worm casting, and make sure to water in correct ph with good quality water.

Hi @Old Uncle Ben You must respect the wet-dry cycles of the soil, allowing it to dry properly before the next watering. If you're dealing with soil fungus, extend the dry cycle until the plant is almost wilting to let the fungus die and allow the root system to recover. Apply a copper fungicide during the next watering (if the plants aren't too weak) and allow the plants to respond to the following dry cycles.

If the issue lies in the walls or environment of the indoor room, the setup must be kept extremely clean and tidy. Consider moving to a new room if the spores are well-established and you don’t want to repaint.

They're in a greenhouse with one moved daily under lights to simulate long days. The GT X Panama is getting full sun only from sunrise to sunset, latitude 30 degrees, about 12 hours of visible light. I've grown weed for decades and never had such a lack of vigor. I'm taking one of them (my OLD cross of a Positronics Haze X Posi. Jack Herer) out of its 1 gal. pot, something is not right with my current mix. Will knock off all I can and put it in clean fresh mix. Will also treat the root system and submerged lower trunk with a rooting compound, an indole-but. hormone with fungicide.

It's all about the roots.

Yep, poor root system. Potted up in a new mix with compost, some cottonseed meal (5-1-1). Lots of organics and vermiculite. What's weird is the buried trunk never pushed roots. I rubbed a hormone rooting powder on the trunk and buried it deep in a bigger pot.

Maybe a haircut and root pruning would revive her faster, also in veg I think there's no need to complicate with substrate, any light mix will work good.

Getting close to done with the 3 I have outdoors this year. I apologize in advance for not growing them to perfection @dubi, I got a new irrigation timer in September that connects to my home automation system. I didn’t realize the automation system had a default schedule set to run at 12 noon every day for an hour on top of the schedule I had actually set so I’ve been unknowingly flushing my plants for good long bit. I thought it was a little crazy how much food they were screaming for all month until I saw that schedule set when adjusting my lighting a few days back. It caused all of the leaves to yellow and die back for the most part, I’ve been able to keep them flowering without dying with supplemental feeding but they definitely aren’t happy with me.
Remember kids, always double check your schedules so you don’t oops something.

I have clones of all 3 and will definitely be giving them an indoor run soon.
They all have an incredible Floral Musky smell, 1 has a lime undertone, 1 has a more lemon undertone, and the densest growing flowered plant has a strong Puppy Breath undertone very similar to what I smelled in some of the Honduras, but with way more floral musk to it. It’s absolutely beautiful smelling.
All 3 are heavily seeded on the lower branches with a male Oaxaca x Panama. I plan on letting my friends sort through f2s just to see what comes out of them alongside another pack of these next season if I can find more in stock someplace.

They look great! If you don't mind me asking what's that percent of SHADE in the cloth and what latitude are you at? Looks like Aluminet, about 40% shade?

Might want to try Osmocote Outdoor-Indoor Plus, a slow release 15-9-12 with micros. Feed once, water only with no more feeding the way mama nature wants it to be. If you want you can add a tad of K beginning in flower but I've found that's really feel good forum stuff. Plant doesn't care.

Love to have some smoke reports. I have some old, high quality Mex. seed in the fridge. Some over 25 years old, originally from the best brick Mex. we used to get while living in S. Texas I really need to pop some of them.



Lost a few seeds but finally have one nice albeit small Golden Tiger X Panama (500 cm) now in bloom. I got hold of a bad batch of soil recently and it really screwed up my plants including tomatoes for the greenhouse. Some mater seeds won't even pop and I've NEVER had this problem. Live and learn.....

They look great! If you don't mind me asking what's that percent of SHADE in the cloth and what latitude are you at? Looks like Aluminet, about 40% shade?

Thanks! Usually mine finish a lot healthier but there’s at least still a ton of useable flower on them, they just didn’t get a chance to bulk like I know they should have.

l’m at 33°, shade is 40% cheap white plastic shade cloth from Amazon.
