I agree, Alex smith is a solid to very good QB. He started off poorly in SF but got his career right towards the end, and then had some of his best years with andy reid in KC. Of course mahomes took over but he signed a big deal when he got traded to Washington. He had them doing well too (6-2 record) until his fibula snapped and he had a compound fracture (bone poking through skin). Good thing he got his money beforehand and honestly after that post surgery infection im surprised he can walk normally much less move well enough to be on an nfl roster. But if he does get game action I wonder if there’s something he can wear to protect his shins? I guess there’s a metal rod in the injured leg to strengthen it but that lower leg seems so much smaller than before…
Haskins was drafted #15 overall, I thought he fell further than he should have but turns out he’s not even worth a 1st rd pick. There’s a reason he fell so far, like trubisky he only had one year of starting experience in college. Maybe Daniel Snyder was involved with the decision to finally draft him, he’s a local kid (grew up in Maryland). Regardless, ur right pop, he started off bad and never really improved in any meaningful way.
So mike evans did play and caught a td last night, and Chicago finally scored a rushing td, and shockingly Chicago pulled off a close win over brady and the bucs. The O wasn’t much to speak of but did enough at times and the D gave up a few big plays but for the most part held tompa in check. Glad I didn’t bet on the bucs, thanks for warning me off, gojoe. But honestly, without that tampa fumble late in the first half, setting up chicago’s second TD, tampa would have covered (won by 6). But that’s football for u, one fluky play in the red zone can make or break a bet.
Heh, one of my grower friends made good money during college too being a grower/seller, back 10-15 yrs ago when you could get $50-60 for an eighth of good homegrown around this area. Nowadays with so much medicinal and recreational flooding the markets his business suffered, his former customers would tell him they can get an oz for $100 mailed from a rec state. Unfortunately for him he was never able to find a job in his field of study so im not sure how well he’s doing now…
