Looking at the number of international chain outlets a few years ago, it seemed strange that McDonalds and KFC (went to shit in the 80's) spread while Taco Bell and their perfect hard shell tacos and hot sauce was DOA. Maybe their recipes don't work with different standards for lettuce, cheese, and meat?

Geez how did Florida State get so bad?

The coach was fired immediately after losing to Miami last year by 17. They're worse than LY so far, and Miami is better, so any line under -14.5 seemed like an easy call worthy of more money than was actually put on it. They graded +32 after the first game. Unfortunately there are only so many of those before everyone else adjusts. KC might not be a dog going forward (they should cover by 3 this week though). There's a benefit to having 130 college teams to rate, fewer sharp lines, and State homers like (speaking of overrated) Pain Inside Her telling everyone on Fox and elsewhere how he's sure Miami is absolutely totally not in any way back.

The Jets did pay me in week 2, since the +7 was another easy call, the first of the year. It was ridiculous they were actually favored (QB first starts have no problem covering), but the NY fan betting for the first time should now realize NYJ had no business being better than +7 for the rest of the year. My number was +8.4 (+12.9 at Denver - 4.5) - should have rounded up. Jim Rome today called the 4 QB first half a clown car of bad QB's. And the worst game ever.

Yeah, things were so heated at the end the coaches didn’t even want to shake each other’s hand, and they were together on the bears staff for a bit (gase and Fangio).
Darnold mixes in some good plays with far too many WTH plays. Holding onto the ball too long or throwing into coverage or not seeing a defender cutting into the passing lane. Reminds me of a more talented jay cutler, and no that’s not a good thing.

I think ethnic food is brought over to different countries by the people. It’s easy to walk from central American to the US so Mexican food is pretty popular here, has been for decades. Same with middle eastern food and the EU, they’re all connected by land so you’ll find doner kebab places there.
I think ur right baba, Mexican/central American food is just not a thing in most of asia, although to be honest, most foreign cuisines don’t seem popular there outside of the major cities (tourists) unless it’s cuisine from a nearby Asian country. But again, if Mexicans emigrated to asia and brought their cuisine and did some sort of fusion/adaptation to local ingredients, it could be popular, just not many have made that journey.

Im sure supply chain has something to do with it, Gojoe. Profit margins are slim and shipping refrigerated food overseas isnt very cost effective, they have to source local ingredients and the taste may be different and not in a good way.
What’s wrong with KFC? I still think they make a pretty good bird, although it’s probably 2/3 the size of the pieces from years ago.
But deep fried chicken (or deep fried anything) is easy to see being universally loved, like deep fried potatoes (chips). So that plus burgers probably satisfies most of a foreign country’s tastes for American fast food.
Is there any local fast food or fast casual to you that’s pretty good? Sounds like u have a hankering for American fast food which I definitely understand, but there’s gotta be some stuff around you that you’d miss if you were ever back in north America. I saw this video of some drunk stoner food in the UK, it was a kebab place, they made a pizza, threw a bunch of doner meat and French fries on top, then drizzled all this sauce on top, and these boys just started wolfing it down. Looked fantastic, in a greasy salty way.

Yeah, willie taggert, guy kept failing upward till last year. Coach at U of S. Florida, then Oregon, then Fl. State, then finally went back down to Florida Atlantic.
What’s this ‘grading out at +32’, is this a calculation you make? Could you have moved the money line on that game so your payout would be bigger the more they won by? Who’s pain inside her on Fox? Any good ytube or podcasts on gambling lines?
I thought the niners were favored by 7 over the jets, not the other way around? But yeah, jets lost by 18 to the niners so covered easily. I agree, im looking at that schedule and maybe the 2 miami games could be winnable but it’s a tough slate.

even here in the us, good mexican food was hard to find once you got away from the border region a few years ago
the mrs is from boston and tells me stories of never having had mexican food until she came to california
i think they had taco bell when she was growing up but it wasnt something her family ate
with the mexican population growing across all the contiguous states i think there food is being introduced to a wider audience but its still kind of hit and miss
asians love friend chicken and even mcdonalds would serve it all across se asia
you make a good point baba' about local ingredients
have you seen mcdonalds menus from around the world
they have certain things that you can only get in certain countries that cater to the local taste and ingredients
my favorite food show used to be anthony bourdain, that guy was a champ!
he would dive into local street food with all the enthusiasm of a foodie at a five star restaurant and you could tell he enjoyed the hell out of it
/his shows featuring a guy named zamir were classic displays of drunk dining
so we have the chargers v tompa bay tomorrow which should be a good start to the day
i might bounce between that and the bengals game in the early then at 1p west cost the rams kick off
nyg should be an easy win for them coming off a tough loss

/whats the line on la this weekend gojoe?
i was wondering about how you come up with the grades for each game too go'
sounds like you keep an eye on the line and follow sports for the action
do you use a site online to bet or are there local places you can stop in a make a bet from?

I have to travel to bet legally. The Rams are -13 and I have them at -15.8, so they're too high for my money even though I think they cover.

What’s wrong with KFC?

KFC was good in the 70's, but everyone was. In high school the word was don't eat at KFC, and if you do don't eat the chicken or gravy, and I never saw cars there. They don't seem more popular now. I've never heard anyone recommend them either - the discussion is always Popeye's or someone else. We had it all, along a major highway, but the only place recommended by their employees was Pizza Hut, who made a barbecue pizza that was off-menu I think. It was something, and for a long time after I put barbecue sauce on pizza, but it wasn't the same.

Maybe the outside world has different expectations than Taco Bell Customer does when it comes to meat, cheese, and lettuce. It was good stuff even so. I can see how people would not want Mexican food if they heard from tourists who went there - I didn't want to buy a thing in Matamoros in 1982, especially food.

What’s this ‘grading out at +32’, is this a calculation you make?

It's the point differential based on the statistics of the Tech loss, compared to Miami's 2 games - not some deep matchup dive. The system is based on last year's FBS regular season.

Could you have moved the money line on that game so your payout would be bigger the more they won by?

I'm not trusting teams to nail their expectations, although one or both is usually pretty close. The ball bounces, teams get jobbed, teams that don't fumble fumble, and as the Jets game showed it can come down to who fucks up last and who wants to win least. There's a betting system that goes along with the rating system - it takes all that into account and forbids anything but straight ATS. Being tested live, unsure how it works out in a normal year much less this one.

When you asked about State I looked up my rankings for their games last year and they did OK until a big, clear dropoff at the Miami game (that they should have won by at least 7) and after, statistically. A lot of teams drop off some with injuries and all, but this was bigger. They're over 14 points worse than that now. A lot of college teams were bad in the first game or two, not so much change in the NFL.

The system is even less tested against the NFL and NFL lines, and did not tell me to take the Saints this week. I got in early because I thought the line would go up, but the injuries situation is obviously not a safe bet. They may just decide to write the game off.

Who’s pain inside her on Fox? Any good ytube or podcasts on gambling lines?

There was a link to the Fanduel-sponsored podcast there (the other guy on it made mostly sharp college picks elsewhere last year). Someone who is paid to analyze, is a professional bullshitter on TV, has a website where you can buy his picks, and will usually lose you money, unless you took the over there. But he thought over because it would be State who was scoring. I generally don't listen to anyone but a few days ago I thought I'd see if they were back this year after last year's dumpster fire, the first thing I heard was the earlier soundcloud file.

Vegasinsider has multiple lines, information and handicappers that you can buy picks from and some of them have a really good record. The Gold Sheet (the site or the VI picks) historically will win people money over a full regular season, a lot of money if a lot is bet. Don Best is good for old school stats. Footballoutsiders has what they call advanced metrics. The AP preview and summary and box score at ESPN tells a lot. Probably shouldn't say that, next year it'll be subscription.

On ESPN's site today there is some story or video where ESPN chick's dog gives its picks. This is ESPN content these days, but not much worse than a lot of people's picks. (no doubt ESPN chick and her dog are highly qualified non-chicks)

I thought the niners were favored by 7 over the jets, not the other way around?

The Jets were +7.

are there many popular chain resturants where you live?
i think there are a lot of cafes overseas and more local places to eat just not the food chains like we have here in the US
i havent spent much time in europe but ive been other parts of the world and they have great street food and small places to eat
what is a good place to eat in croatia? what are some of your favorite foods?
/no matter where you travel you can usually find a mcdonalds in the big city, mcdonalds and coca cola
growing up i was a san diego chargers fan and we had a great rivalry going with the raiders
they would even have commercials on tv for bail bonds (you pay money to get out of jail until your court date) when the raiders came to town

I will try my best ( sorry for crappy writing) to answer you all.. This forum isn't most user friendly for me..(dont know why they dont upgrade to riu type of forum, I mean my tech not by morons they stay there.. :) )

About chain restorants , we dont have any national chains , but you have some type of fast foot/barbecue restaurant's that we cal Cevapcinica (they sell cevapi, pljeskavica (something like burger) and similar stuff that is made on barbecue.. These are in fact Turkish dishes coz these parts were under OTTOMAN EMPIRE in history.

Al thou we are small country we have very different types of food by region where you live.. On adriatic coast (dalmatia, istria, kvarner) there is lots of sea food and restorants and people who lived there mostly eat that,, Then you have whole continental side of country which is also really different by dishes you can eat.. you can eat very very good at local restaurants, so when you visit Croatia it's best to look at trip advisor or google reviews for local restaurants.. I'm also writing reviews for google ..

I' big boned heavy boy and I'm hedonist so I like eat everything.. :bis:

In Adriatic cost Brudet for me is a must to try (like sea fish/crabs/calamari stew) there is bunch of local JAdran sea fish to try also, you have to try Prsut , and sheep cheese from Pag.. We have great Olive oil too.. On continental side... ohh my god,, Sarma,Veal under oven, roast lamb,, roast pig, Zagreb stake, strukli, In slavonija there are dry procesed meat to try like , sosage , kulen and similar.. I could write you for days about our food...Its loot's and lots of different variations of food,And we embraced lost of Italian and Turkish food ...

@Bababooey We dont have any gangs like in Us, so we have tifos, Like cheering groups of fans for every team ..They are organized, have a leader and stuff.Something like gang but for cheering.. So they cheer and follow their team on road games, fight, etc etc.. They are big part of ever EU club..

You have few KFC in Cro, but they are so minor represented that I dont even count them..We are very kind to our cevapi and pljeskavica (you get more to eat for less than in MCD) so every Big US chain have to fight with that also..

Yes we have lots of kekbab fast food..
And have lots of call to order fast for only deliveries..They moslty sell pizza ,lasagna and similar fast food dishes..

And yes.
Cam has c 19?!?!?

fck Nooooo!!!!

I was so happy to watch him against MAhomes.. .)

dont worry about your post disko, we cam all understand what you are saying brother!
i never though about the many miles (km) of coast line your country has, it must be really nice
i dont really like seafood, which is funny because my mom comes from an island in the pacific and all they eat is fish; i love crabs and calimari but dont really eat fish unless i have no other choice
those cevapi look awesome! ive seen simular dishes from other places, where you shape mince meat and add seasoning
how do you flavor them? what spices do you use mostly in croatia?
/i really enjoy hearing about food
i live in san diego, ca and we have a very wide ethnic base so we have all kinds of flavors
people from all over the world live here and we are so close to mexico so we have tons of great food
i will have to find a croatian place and check it out
i just read cam has covid
they rescheduled the game against the chiefs for tomorrow and hopefully he gets back on the field soon
thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences man! its been fun learning something about our country man!

Yeah, I think most ethnic restaurants are started/run by members of that ethnicity. So if you don’t have a sizeable Mexican population in your area then you might not have any real Mexican restaurants, other than americanized franchises like taco bell, dell taco, taco johns.
Thai restaurants are usually run by thai people, same with Chinese restaurants, etc. Makes sense, and with Chinese restaurants, you could have only 5 chinese families in your remote suburb and they would literally run all the Chinese restaurants in that town, it’s that closely held of an industry.
McD’s has their HQ in Chicago and supposedly their restaurant there (open to the public, also has drive thru) offers all the international menus, like the seafood burger in japan, veggie burger in india, etc. I really should try to stop by sometime when im in the city.
Bourdain was cool and ill have to watch reruns of his shows but I like Andrew Zimmern of bizarre foods, that dude would eat the worst stuff. Fermented fish eggs, anuses, brains, etc.

Heh, sounds like you a pretty good system/philosophy in regards to sports betting, Gojoe. Do your research, be conservative, know what you don’t know. It’s the dudes who go all in on bets and don’t know what theyre doing that end up losing everything.
I thought KFC was pretty good and is still pretty good but I did hear that back in the day their chickens were green before cooking? Some actor said his first job when he came to LA was at a KFC, he’d dip a green chicken into the seasoning and batter and into the fryer.
I do like a bbq sauce pizza (with chicken, onions, etc) but haven’t gotten one in a while.
I know what you mean about the uncertainty in nfl games, a turnover one way or another could be the difference in a win or loss or covering or not covering. There’s a statistic that nfl teams usually are even in their records in one score games, so a 6 win team may have gone 1-7 in one score games and by virtue of regression would be expected to do much better next year in such games and thus have a winning record. I think one of the few exceptions was Andrew luck, who had a very good record in one score games. Even belichick’s record in one score games is basically average.
Vegasinsider is one of the most popular sites for gambling lines, just wish I could see the lines for past games easily. How much is the subscription fee for the Gold Sheet? Seems like that would be easy money if theyre usually correct.
Saints were beating down the lions but Detroit scored the last 2 tds so NO only won by 6, still the money line was -4 or so so they covered. Rams only won by 8 so that was a good bet to avoid.
Saw some college football on saturday, i would have bet on Bama beating TA&M by more than 17 and they won by 28. Still, that would have been evened out by me betting on OU covering vs ISU and they ended up losing, lol. That would have been a stupid bet though OU also lost the week before to KSU...

I had to look up some of those foods you mentioned Disko and they look very good. Sausage and burger patty, with flatbread and side dishes of cheeses and pepper relish, onions, tomatoes etc. I mean, you can’t go wrong with meat, bread and cheese. And that zagreb steak sounds great too, like chicken cordon blue but with pork instead of chicken. And strukli is like a croissant or baklava (flaky, baked good) made with cheese, yum!

Is paprika a common spice in your area? Is paprikash a common dish or is that more a Hungarian dish? Don’t worry about being a little heavy if youre big boned you should carry it well and plus youre probably pretty strong too.
I think I actually had some pljeskavica once, there was some sort of Slavic restaurant in Chicago and I tried the meat dish which was a shaped minced meat patty that was seasoned well, with some sides. I liked it, reminded me vaguely of middle eastern food but not really.
Sounds like you have a good variety of cuisines in your country so I can see why American fast food isnt that popular, especially if it’s more expensive than the local quick serve cuisine. And if you have Italian foods like pizza and lasagna that’s even better, pizza is like my favorite food.
I’ve heard of ultras, the fan clubs for EU soccer, tifo is a new word to me but I guess it’s the Eastern European version of ultras? Maybe that is what US street gangs will become in another 50-100 years, just sports fan clubs instead of street gangs fighting over drug selling spots. Well, that would probably only happen if drugs are decriminalized but maybe the whole police brutality protests is leading towards that direction…

Pop, I had Cam in one of my leagues and had to start fitztragic yesterday, yeesh. Im not looking forward to watching a washed up brian hoyer start tonite but at least we get 2 MNF games…

the chiefs v the patriots with cam would have been awesome; but if anyone can get a win here its belichick
brady pulled a rabbit out of a hat yesterday with his win against the chargers but herbert is looking pretty good with his arm and even took off running a few times
/im still on the joeyB bandwagon in cincinatti and they got their first win aginst the jags
rams get another win against the giants and c.kupp was playing like his hair was on fire
/the defense played well but i was kind of underwhelmed overall; this is against the giants
good betting is like good investing; if you want to make money you stay cool and just lay low until you see a solid thing, then you back up the truck
when you win, you win big
yeah baba'
that food looked off the charts and i bet it tastes as good as it looked
like you said man, "...you can’t go wrong with meat, bread and cheese."
im not seeing a lot of the fitzmagic this season and its only a matter of time until they put tua in
the double header tonight is going to be a treat brother; like an extra day of football
i cant wait

Yeah, Brady had a bad stretch in the 1st half, even threw another pick 6, his 4th one in his past 6 games, for someone with a historically low int rate that's worrisome. But he turned it on in the 2nd half and ended up with 5tds.

Im with you, justin herbert impressed again. They were showing off his accuracy during hard knocks, he was tossing the football into these net baskets, maybe they only showed his makes and not his misses but even the WRs were like kid has an arm. Plus he's athletic and has that prototype size, he's definitely an upgrade on rivers, whose arm strength looks subpar now. .

Cincy played the jags, burrow looks good but jags D made fitzmagic look good. But ur right, he looks like a keeper, and he's tough too.

Im surprised the rams kept it so close to the giants, i think they didnt play d. henderson much after the 1st qtr for some reason. But a win is a win, and with the niners and cards losing theyre 3-1 in the division, behind the hawks at 4-0. Those divisional games they play will be fun to watch.

This isnt sports gambling but i read that book about those MIT students who counted cards in vegas years ago, they'd keep track of the # of face cards left in the deck (before they had continuously shuffling machines) and bet much bigger amounts when there were a lot of face cards left. Their system was like +1 to +3 depending on how many face cards were left, and sometimes they'd lose but more often they'd win because they bet heavy when the odds were in their favor. It was made into a movie with kevin spacey i think.

But yeah, not sure if there's an equivalent to sports gambling but if the odds are very much in your favor that's when you should go big. Maybe Gojoe should have tripled or quadrupled his normal bet when the line is -17 but he thinks it should be -32...

Saints were beating down the lions but Detroit scored the last 2 tds so NO only won by 6, still the money line was -4 or so so they covered. Rams only won by 8 so that was a good bet to avoid.

Sorry about the Ramses and failing to account for their 5 point home field disadvantage.

https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/scoreboard/scores.cfm/week/1/season/2020

Change the 2020 to 2019 if you want last year. And after the games start you can see what their better bettors picked at their pages. I haven't looked there this year but TGS is not expensive if you're serious and buy the whole college and NFL. For them and the others I'm talking like 64% ATS and people spending thousands from the start and making small margins for their income for the year. GB -7 at home v ATL. Moving to -5???????? What am I missing. Oh, because it's ATL's time. Really? These are too few and far between. Only have Pittsburgh in the NFL next week, the lines are mostly pretty sharp at this point.

Yeah, i must be stupid because im just not finding where i can change the year on VI, and i tried a couple different browsers. Ah well, that info can be found easily enough elsewhere.

The VI gold membership is like $100 for 3 months but individual handicapper picks for the nfl experts are like $300/mth or $800/season. Some of these 'expert's' records dont seem so good though...

Packers won by 14 so that was easy money, julio and calvin both played but werent 100% and atlanta couldnt really get anything going on offense. Gurley had both td's for the falcons but outside a couple nice runs didn't impress; he definitely lacks that burst he had when he was awesome for the rams. But he did get what was blocked for the most part, cant put it all on him.

Pitt is favored by 7 over Philly, philly did upset a favored niners team last week but niners were dealing with a boatload of injuries and Pitt is mostly healthy (should get diontae johnson back too). I could see them covering easily against a still struggling carson wentz, especially with that pass rush.

I think Tampa covers against chicago on thursday night; theyre favored by 5.5 and it's at chicago but bears O is awful right now, theyre the only team without a rushing TD and buc's run D is very good. Outside of a good quarter here or there both foles and trubisky are mostly bad, and nagy looks lost. Bears D is still pretty stout but they can be ground down or picked apart given enough time. I think Tampa wins by double digits easy...

the skills these top qb have throwing a ball is off the charts; ive seen video of a.rog hitting balloons as they floated up from a long way away (want to say 50yds+)
/hitting baskets is hard and the best can hit moving targets with ease
this looks like it might be a decent draft class of qb with burrow and herbert playing solid football out of the blocks and guys like tua/hurt waiting in the wings
for now i feel like the rams are a run heavy team, where if the run game works the offense clicks
but without the run game i dont know if goff is ready to put the team on his back
/ no run= no fun
rams get another get right against washington this weekend but play sf next week
that should be an important game in the west and fun to watch
im not going to count chi out just yet but i think brady is ready to make the bucs his team
the way he brought them back last week has to have a positive effect in the locker room and that offense is ready to buy in
/i think they need to get some ground game going to really step up but brady is living up to his hype

Did you try the address. I did not suggest buying a membership at VI, buying the week's picks from someone maybe. The NFL handicapper records there in the sidebar are 80% (20-5), 68%, and 63% - entirely acceptable.

Tampa just went to -4.5 after being -5.5 (I have them -6), even though everyone was already putting money on them - another one of those lines going in reverse that reeks. There will be a lot of public money coming in on Tom still, so it seems that the books agree with me that the short week favors Chicago at home and so does the evolving, uncertain offense, and neither team will be the same as they were last week. When do we find Tom's high tide mark and which Chicago shows up.

Yeah Pop, id compare nfl QB’s throwing footballs to MLB pitchers throwing baseballs, everyone can throw a football but to do it so accurately and with such velocity is a talent that very few have.
Ur right about the rams being run-first, I think passer rating in general is much higher off play action than without play action. Someone like kirk cousins, his passer rating with PA is higher than Peytons, without PA it’s like trubisky’s. Baker Mayfield is doing much better as well this year being a run first, PA team.
Tampa’s strength is going to be their pass game, with evans and godwin, Fournette isnt bad but was hurt last game, and Ronald jones their other RB is serviceable. Arians seems like a pass first coach as well, even if he did have elite RBs.

I did try that link, Gojoe, took me to the 2020 results but didn’t see any pull down menus to change the year even though I clicked everywhere, tried a different browser too. Maybe I need to get off incognito mode, or accept cookies?
VI lists their top 15 handicapper records, the top 5 or so are great, but small sample size yada yada. The 5-10 they don’t list are below .500. Is it possible to have a record .600 or better over the season just doing your own research?
Chicago could get a Int returned for a TD off brady that could make it close, and ur right, Thursday night games always have wonky results. So yeah, as much as im down on the bears tomorrow night, they could cover.

My woman loves seafood as well Disko, prefers it to meat most times but she hates cooking it indoors, says it smells up the place. I don’t mind food smells in the house sometimes but I guess fishy odors can be off putting. I agree with you though, if a meal doesnt have meat it's not really fulfilling. Do you eat a lot of chicken or is it mainly pork and some beef?
Maybe it’s good that you only eat seafood when youre at the coast, that way it’s something you can look forward too. Things are more special I think when theyre not available all the time. But im surprised you don’t have good seafood restaurants inland, if you pack seafood in ice then it’s just less than a day’s drive away for a truck to deliver to restaurants?
Chicago has a large polish population so most of the central/eastern euro restaurants around here are polish, there might be a Balkan restaurant around here, ill have to check it out. I think Bulgarian and Hungarian restaurants are the next most popular of the central/eastern euro restaurants but even then there's only a few of those. We’ve got lots of Greek restaurants and some german restaurants (there are more german restaurants in Milwaukee Wisconsin 2 hours drive north of chicago which has a larger german ethnic population).
I hope Cam comes back for week 5, I have him in one of my fantasy leagues and Hoyer/Stidham looked pretty terrible, the patriots D performed well enough but being unable to move the ball on offense, even belichick wont win many games like that.

hoyer looked pretty bad and i hope cam comes back soon
brady looked pretty bad in the first quarter against the chargers but shook that pretty quickly
without a pre season i think he is still feeling out his offense and should only play better from here
so it looks like washington is going with k.allen as qb against the rams after haskins had a terrible game against the browns
alex smith is back but they are starting allen
as long as the rams defense can keep the pressure on this should be a good game for the rams

so it turns out we do have bosnian food here in san diego, disko

https://www.facebook.com/Bosnian-Grill-115736951825493/

the other places i found searching for coratian food were mostly mediterrania/ greek type places but they did have more choices farther up north
it all looks so good and one of the places even has a little market inside
/these type places are always fun because you can also buy foods to take home

https://www.aromacafe.la/gallery

it sounds so good man, i will have to check it out
you mention croatia as a f'd up country
i remember a while back things were not so good in that part of the world, how have things changed? are the people doing any better now
thanks for sharing a little bit about your home land
i have to also ask of course, what about the weed in your area?
what is the pot scene like in croatia?
thanks again for sharing and hope you have a great day buddy

Yeah, I think most ethnic restaurants

Sorry but I had to answer you separately.,.This is serbian food but it's just mix of Balkan dishes served as one (cevapi, pljeskavica, itd)

https://www.tasteatlas.com/leskovacki-voz

Strukli is similar pastry like baklava (texture like , something like lasagne under teeth but with different flavor )

I forgot to mention fish paprikash.. Its a soup like dish from river fishes.. It0's our specialty..Like cobonac (its stew from game and veal, you can add some pork legs etc)

This is Fb with only traditional Croatian dishes..

https://www.facebook.com/hrvatskaautohtonajela/

Yes we use a lots of paprika..For all of our procesed meat Kobasica / Kulen /kulenova seka..
And for cooking.. We had dish as youngins.. Bread, pork fat, and paprika with salt on top.. Yess almost forgot, we have Cvarci also..It's melted pig fat, its a delicate's in these parts.

yes paprirkas is croatian and hungarian dishes.. We had been part of Austro ugarska and some other non egzisiting anymore states thru history,,(ROME,Venezia,OTTOMAN,Hungarians,Germans) we served/fight them all.. And all of them let their mark in our cousin as in language in our everyday life..We have very big Hungarian community in Slavonia, same as Italians in Dalmatia/istria.. So all of them left their mark..

Dont make me wrong people are storming MCdonalds

but it's mainly elementary school kids ( who will be fat in future) aND 30% OF CUSTOMERS ARE rest of age groups.. sadly whole world is becoming global US copy.. And i think its stupid.. Like forced multi ethnicity in some countries.... You cant call Us racist coz we live in middle of europe, and black people arent natives..
Just like whites in Africa.

Tifos are little less Violent... I think.I'm not much involved and interested in that folklore.. Fighting for something that doesn't give a f about you? Sport is all about money not loyality..

We dont have street gang,as in Us..
You will never see people slinging dope on street..
You have to know someone who sells it..
I thionk that kind of dealing is becoming m,ore and more popular in US..

But they bug your fone and youre done.. I was one of dealing guys ..

We have bunch of criminals organizations /gang (something like mafia wanna be's) who extorts, do the loaning of money with high rates, push, drugs etc, like Russian mob/gangs...

Don't try the link, look at it. Don't forget about GB next week. They have this week off and Tampa will want to show them as little as possible in Chicago, because they have to.

Yeah, brady is someone who definitely needs time to gel with his receivers (I think most receivers in their first year with the pats didn’t do so well) so not surprising his adjustment has been a little rocky. Still, they’ve won 3 straight after losing to the saints in week 1 so if brady has full command of this offense by December you have to figure they’ll be a top seed. Green bay and Seahawks looking good also. I didn’t think the rams D was going to be this good after replacing wade Philips and losing 2/3 of their LB’s to free agency but they’ve definitely stepped up so far.
Huh, haskins actually wasn’t as terrible as he usually is last week, didn’t throw any int’s at least but having lost 3 straight I guess rivera is like we need a spark. Kyle started off hot with the panthers last year but got worse over time, if he can avoid the int’s he might be good for them. Theyre one of the few teams who have a worse qb situation than the bears. Alex smith’s lower leg looked like a gnawed off chicken wing after it went through a post surgery infection, hard for me to believe he would see game action this year but anything’s possible, he’s actually supposed to be kyle’s backup, with haskins #3.
Yeah, LA is a very diverse city, with people from all over the world so you should be able to find almost any cuisine if you look hard enough. Do you make it to LA often Pop or you try to avoid that area?
Croatia was part of the former Yugoslavia, that country broke up after the end of the soviet union and had many wars in the 90’s to 2000. Some really bad stuff went down during that time, ethnic cleansing, mass executions, things like that. That’s why I laugh when people say nba players from Europe are soft, if theyre from the Balkans and grew up during this time they saw way more terrible things than an American kid would ever see in the inner city. Luckily the borders have been established and countries officially recognized so things are better now, not perfect according to Disko but what country is?

That food looks great, Disko, makes me want to find a Balkan restaurant! It looks like we have over a dozen in or around Chicago so more than I thought there would be. It seems like universally appealing food (sausages, bread, cheese, salads) for the most part so I could see it being pretty popular with non-Balkan customers. It’s like the cuisine combines the best aspects of central European and middle eastern food. And Im looking at this area on the map, it’s just east of Italy, north of Greece, south of Austria, west of hungary/Romania/Bulgaria and Turkey, so yeah, seems like youre at a real crossroads of different cultures and foods. Have you traveled through a lot of Europe, visited other countries? That has to be one of the best aspects is being able to drive to all these different countries.
We don’t use paprika so much in traditional American cooking but it does add nice color and a sweet flavor to dishes if you want a little spice but no heat. Is spicy food a thing in Balkan cuisine or not so much? Almost all paprika in American is not spicy, very little heat.
Over half of all adults in America are classified as obese or morbidly obese, so junk food and fast food have really taken their toll on our country’s health. If you look at pictures of americans from the 70’s and earlier im surprised how few of them were fat, nowadays if youre not fat youre in the minority. Food is cheap and most jobs don’t require much manual labor (not like working on a farm) so this problem is only going to get worse in the future I think.
Heh, I don’t get too worked up about sports teams either. I told Pop this story once, I read online about this kid who was so worked up about his favorite team losing that he threw his TV remote at the TV and broke the screen, his dad was so mad he told his son: “Listen, these teams, theyre like strippers, theyre just rubbing up against you for money, they don’t care about you, theyre just doing it for the money” After that his son was much more calm when his team lost (im thinking his son was at least a teenager to talk about strippers like that).
It sucks that they caught you like that, I think drugs in general should be decriminalized, not just weed. Here in American we’ve had 100’s of thousands of addicts die from tainted drugs; if this market was regulated and controlled we could have saved a lot of lives. The war on drugs just makes things worse instead of better imo.

Alright, finally got it Gojoe! Duh… but it makes a lot of sense now. Im so used to links for everything I got stupid there.
Yeah, tampa is currently favored by 2.5 at home vs GB in week 6, I think homefield advantage is usually worth 3 pts? Both evans and godwin are banged up, godwin wont play tonite and evans is nursing an ankle injury. If evans plays im pretty confidant tampa will cover but he’s looking like a game time decision.
Fanduel and draftkings are both offering online sports gambling in IL but u have to sign up at an affiliated casino, east st louis for DK and peoria for FD. Theyre both offering a free $1000 bet for new users, so sign up, place a 1k bet and if you lose you get your money back (first bet only). Sounds like free money to me, well, only if I win lol…

its no secret that i am a huge alex smith fan, i liked him in KC and am glad he was able to come back from that leg infection
/like you said, that shit was gross
but i think washington is moving in a new direction and he may have a hard time getting back into the starting line up
i think haskins got caught up in a team that needed to make a change, just like trubs in chicago
he was playing ok but the team needed a spark and nothing shakes things up like a change at qb
tompa bay is set to take off and i cant wait for tonight game against the bears
im expecting brady to get out of the blocks hot and keep the pressure for four quarters tonight
as you know im also a big fan of wade phillips and have been pleasantly surprised by the new DC staley
/part of the defensive success is the talent on the field
i remember the problems in that part of europe (bosnia/ kosavo)
talk about ethnic cleansing and inhumanity against a group of people, some very awful things happened
protestors here in america have it good if you know what i mean and have no idea what a real uprising is like
i agree with you about drugs being decriminalized, but at the same time i dont think society should have to pay the cost for people who choose to destroy their lives through abuse of any substance, especially hard drugs
cant wait for tongihts game to start and i will be there rooting for the bears with you baba'
/if you can, share what ever insights you have found in thsoe links gojoe posted; they sounds interesting

thanks for sharing about your country disko
you are right about how a lot of drug deals are transactions between friends
with weed its very simple because your friend the dealer can easily grow his own and provide plenty for all
when you sold weed how would you get it? did you have friend who dealt in weight?
would you grow your own
/this is how i payed for most of my higher education, by growing my own weed
what about the publics perception of pot? what does your average person thing of marijuanna?
thanks again for sharing and taking the time to educate us on your part of the world!
