the rams could still be in there, but like you said a lot of pieces have to come together
even if he dident play much last year, gurley was still there and defenses had to game plan for him
i saw some tape on this young kid akers and i might have to change my take
/unfortunately i will get no pre season to really check this kid out
you said he was good when they drafted him
AD is HOF but he can only do so much and the rams are kind of soft in the middle
/again, lets hope someone steps up here
i think murray could find his way into the mvp talk, but i have to go with your first pic mahomme' right now
/you could go with the bigger version of murray: l.jax i like him too
i grew up before guns too
/you were either really cool or you learned to fight really well
but beefs get blown way out of proportion and now that means getting a gun
like yuo said its usually over some stupid shit too, like facebook or social media
/always about pride
its the same way here in california with the crips or any number of other groups who fight amongs each other but are basically the same

Some of goff’s advanced passing stats (like passer rating when pressured) were almost as bad as trubisky’s last year. He’s just not good when he doesn’t have a clean pocket. Also, the bears OL was pretty trash last year as well, even though trubisky isn’t half the pocket passer goff is. But if both teams’ blocking improves this season (better health, better players) then maybe goff and trubs can return to their 2018 form.

I didn’t see any florida state games last year but supposedly akers is highly regarded, he was a 2nd rd pick and the only 1st rd RB was clyde Edwards-helaire, the LSU RB picked by KC at the end of the 1st rd. Dalvin cook was a 2nd rd pick for the Vikings, aaron jones was a 4th rd pick of the packers, and they both tore up the league last year, so if akers is healthy and gets lion’s share of the carries, he could almost make you forget about gurley. Well, maybe not, gurley for a season and a half was a monster, dude was averaging like 1.5 td’s a game.

Rams have leonard Floyd, the ex-bears edge rusher, maybe in their scheme he can be a double digit sack guy like dante foster was. I guess the rams have to replace 2 of their starting linebackers this season? Hopefully the replacements can step up and shut down the interior runs. I know SF likes those cutback lanes that open up with their zone blocking, that’s really hard to defend.

Last season mahomes was on pace to almost match his 2018 mvp numbers until he got injured (high ankle sprain then dislocated knee). If he’s healthy he’s almost a lock for 40+ td’s, which is unheard of. Even guys like Rodgers and Brady have only had 1 season with 40 td’s or more, for mahomes it might be a birthright.

Being part of a streetgang seems so stupid but if you think about it if youre a kid growing up in their neighborhoods those are the guys you look up to, the tough guys, the ones with money, the cool cats. And think how stupid you were when you were 5-15 y.o. and then you’ll realize how easy it is to fall into that lifestyle because you want to fit in, to feel like a part of something, and the danger is enticing as well, why do kids join the infantry at 18, cause they want to fight, to kill and maybe die. There were gangs (irish and Italian) in the early 19th century, there are gangs now, there’ll be gangs in 2120. Maybe then they’ll all be beefing with each other in virtual reality; hopefully they’ll shoot each other in VR too so no one gets hurt. :)

disrespect for the national anthem will destroy the national football league.
first game i see my favorites kneeling, i will burn the bling.
shame too, to see what national means to national football league.
i will retreat to the MLS, or Rugby.
please excuse me for posting political shit in your thread...

That's cool Trich, at least someone else is posting in this thread. You're not the only one who thinks that way, and even if people disagree with your opinion, we'll defend it to the death or something something... :)

But the MLS or rugby instead of american football? Really? Not sure either of those sports would satisfy my jones for american style football, but to each their own...:headbange

i dident know you were into football trichrider
what team do you like?
i used to be into 7s style rugby and its not bad baba'
very fast paced with some good contact
it wasnt hard to watch at all
/go all blacks

i had a bunch of friends who fell into gangs and some of them were killed because of it
i was lucky because my mom held a firm hand and even if it wasnt perfect,we always put family first
but there were some tough times for all of us
you are so right about it being part of human nature to want to be part of a group
at one point in history, we had to relied on the group for survival and it helped people become the dominant player in nature
now groups seem to be more about dividing people, you wear red, i wear blue
you vote democrat, i vote republican
i like coke, you drink pepsi
i wihs we could all just be americans first and work together for whats best
/or where ever in the world you are from we are all humans
the gators have a good football program and i hear c.akers is used to making his own yards
even if he cant replace gurley, the rams need some kind of ground game to keep defenses honest
there is a lot of potential on the defense but no preseason makes it hard to evaluate what we have
i think floyd is a little smaller than d.fowler, but could still make an impact on defense
it would be nice to see dbl-digit sacks from him and maybe he could match up well with some of those big tight ends
almost the weekend man and im hoping to have a friend come by the house and chill
i dont know if i told you about a friend who just got abck from fla recently
he is a total rock hound and says he found some nice fossilized sharks teeth, when i asked about them he said he has some stuff i might really like
hope you have a great rest of your day brother!

I have a lot of respect for rugby players, they're just as tough if not tougher than american footballers. They wear less armor which means they get hurt more when theyre hit, although honestly the amount of padding american players use probably contributes to the injuries, they just like to launch themselves at each other or shoulder first, whereas rugby players are more prone to wrap up.

I dont believe ive ever watched more than highlights of a rugby game, i might give it a watch if i come across one sometime, does it ever play on espn?

I grew up in a blue collar suburb and there was a light gang presence there, nothing like chicago but occasionally you'd have a shooting or a stabbing. I stayed away from those crowds and my only interaction with gangsters consisted them of being bullies and thugs to me. :comfort:
But we all knew they were heading down a dead end road so i wasnt hype on trying to be like them. But we all agree, when ur a kid you do a lot of stupid stuff, in fact i still do stupid stuff :shucks: so if you hang out with those crowds it's just natural you adopt that life unless you're unusually smart or mature.

I think the human race has an almost endless capacity to be cruel to each other. Maybe only when an alien race is discovered that tries to make war on us will humans be truly united. Other than that, we'll be content to use and abuse our fellow humans.

Maybe darrell henderson will take a 2nd year leap for the rams and he can challenge akers for reps. Would be nice to have 2 weapons in the backfield, for injuries and to give each other a rest. Goff really needs that running threat so he can make passes off play action, if he's got time to throw off play action he's very accurate on deep passes.

Floyd had to drop back a lot to cover RB's and sometimes TE's in the bears scheme, but even when he did pass rush he didnt do much, except against the packers sometimes. But dante fowler was kind of a bust before resurrecting his career with the rams ; i hope the change of scenery does floyd good. But lets face it, this team isn't going to be a top 5 D, their strength is scoring early and often, like the chiefs.

You collect rocks like geodes and quartz? Those always look neat. I'd be worried though i'd collect too much stuff, we have so much crap in our house as it is i cant imagine having boxes and boxes of rocks around. Plus they'd be hella heavy too...

i dont really collect rocks but have a nice collection

i like minerals and fossils
you are totally right about how the pads make football more dangerous in some ways
a lot of the long term injury is the concussive type injury you get from repeated heavy hits
but before pads there were serious injury and even deaths
going back to the old leather helmet days i heard it was not uncommon for players to break shit all the time and even die from their injuries
here is a story from 1905 about football and injury

https://www.chicagomag.com/Chicago-Magazine/The-312/May-2012/A-Brief-History-of-Football-Head-Injuries-and-a-Look-Towards-the-Future/

i know what you mean about still doing stupid stuff, like we said before, i think we are both just really big kids at heart
but i try and avoid physical altercations when i can and let a lot of things go that would have set me off when i was younger
you are so right about how its part of human nature to use other people and often that involves coercion through force
i guess when you get down to brass tacks, we are still animals
i totally agree that the rams need a ground game to take some of the pressure off goff
i hope he takes a step forward and improves his field vision and decision making ability this season
but even then the nfc.w is going to be super competitive and you need to win every game you can
saw some baseball today (mets game) and it was fun to just enjoy sports for a while
other than that im watching mad max fury road and john wick movies
did you ever get a chance to check out that derry girls show on netflix?
have a great day my man and hope you are all set for a fun weekend!

Rocks are cool if they look pretty, can use them as nice decorations or art pieces around the house. Petrified wood pieces are dope as well, especially if they’re big pieces you can put in your yard as ornaments.

I guess the thing with more padding is that you can take more punishment, but that just means softer impacts but many more of them. Like boxing vs mma gloves, boxing gloves are much more padded but that means you can take many more head blows before getting KTFO, and that probably leads to more brain damage. Same thing with big armored helmets in football, guys are constantly butting helmets, well tens of thousands of impacts later your brain is getting mushy and you cant remember your kids’ names.

I think if youre human youre always going to be making mistakes/doing dumb shit, it’s called not being perfect. But I guess as long as you strive to learn and do better that’s as much as you can hope for. I’d like to think im less angry than I was when I was younger but sometimes I feel I have less patience for foolishness now.

Goff’s a good QB, he’s had a couple good years so he’s no fluke, but he’s not elite, he’s probably not going to elevate an offense to be more than the sum of its parts, he’s got to be in the right situation to have success. It’ll be interesting to see what mcvay does, if he sticks to 2 TE (12 personnel) 1RB groupings or 3WR (11 personnel) 1RB for the majority of the snaps.

I saw some of the NBA games yesterday, saw lebron flopping around and pulling out a win vs the clippers. MLB has had 3 covid outbreaks already, Miami (11 players), philly (2 players), now the cardinals (2 players). Geez louise, for a sport that doesn’t have much in the way of direct player contact (as opposed to basketball and football) they really cant get a handle on the virus can they? Maybe too much spitting tobacco and sunflower seeds. :biglaugh:

i saw that too about how mlb has three teams that have tested positive
/the thing about the cards is they had no contact with the marlins ( patient zero)
im not sure if its bad social distancing practices or what but it does not look good for pro sports so far
i heard the nba season is basically being played in fla (disney?) and the teams are kind of kept off limits to the public?
/please correct me if im wrong
the weird thing is i hear internationally, the baseball is doing fine in places like korea and japan
i have some nice petrified wood pieces, but nothing big enough to put out in the yard
a lot of what i have are weird minerals, smaller pieces but they look cool
i also have some nice pieces ive found, these are my favorites
/like rocks with pieces of sea shell in them or cool crystals/rocks
boxing gloves werent meant to protect the person getting hit, it was meant to pad your hand so you can keep hitting as hard as you can
in some ways a certain level of pads help the game and protect the player for soft tissue injury that would normally side line you
/cup check!
but a lot of the pads they wear in football encourage guys to run into each other full speed and use their bodies like a weapon
im hoping goff finds his groove in the nfl and is able to take the next step as a qb
we will also see what mcvay has up his sleeve and if he really was the boy wonder many thought he was a few years ago
/funny how winning does that
im hearing more players are opting out of the season and we will see what we have left if the season starts
hope you are having a great day my man
its getting super hot here, but luckily we live close enough to the coast that it dosent get that bad

Yeah, the marlins are up to 18 players testing positive and 2 coaches, so 20 total. That’s insane, thats like 2/3 the team. Now I know why mlb had a pool of reserve players for each team as replacements. I think the nfl should do the same, have a large pool of practice squad players to draw from in case your entire OL gets sick.

The NBA teams are all in Disneyworld in Orlando, shacked up in 5 hotels, and they pretty much only have contact with each other and their coaches/staff. Even their families aren’t allowed to visit, although theyre supposed to ease that restriction once the playoffs start in a couple weeks.
Last round of covid tests came up negative for all the NBA players, this is the way to to do it. MLB isn’t in a bubble (neither is the NFL), when theyre not at work the players go home, hang out, do whatever, which is why they can get exposed and bring the virus back to the team.

I think in asia the population was much more used to masks, even without a pandemic you’d see people who were sick or had health issues wearing masks in public. In America it looks strange, u see that before and ur like what does this person have, the plague? And I think the players in the Asian baseball leagues are actually wearing masks while playing, whereas only a few MLB players do so (mike trout for one). Maybe after all the covid cases they’ll make all players wear masks, even in the dugout.

Do u ever just collect sea shells? Maybe give them to a hermit crab in need of an upgrade? Not sure if you come across any needy hermit crabs though but that’d be a cool thing to do.

U make a good point about gloves and padding, the human skull is probably the strongest bone in the body, you can easily break your hand if you punch it. Face and jaw are softer but you can cut your hand on teeth as well. But way back in the day bare knuckle boxing was a thing, im sure it was super rough on the hands though.

Yeah, it’s gut check time for mcvay. He was somewhat overshadowed last year by the other boy genius, kyle shanahan. Kliff kingsbury might overtake them both this year if kyler and nuk blow up, and the oldest coach in the nfl, pete carroll, only goes to the playoffs every year with his elite QB.
Patriots lost half their defense from last year to free agency and opt-outs (donta hightower, their best LB, is opting out). Even if Cam is an adequate replacement for Brady, they’ve got a lot of talent to replace, but that’s one of belichick’s strengths.

Funny enough, the heat finally broke around here. It was ungodly hot and humid (high 80’s low 90’s, high humidity) every day for like a month, and it just recently dropped back down to the high 70’s and more reasonably humidity. I hope the rest of the summer is like this, even though august is historically a pretty hot month. Is your camping trip coming up soon? What’s it like camping when it’s this hot? I guess if youre near a lake or river it’s not too bad, can always take a dip assuming the water is deep enough and clean…

that sounds like shorts and t-shirt weather
i hope you are able to enjoy the nice weather and spend some time outside
yeah man, we are heading out to the mountains in a few weeks
its nice at elevation, it will get hot and we might have t-storms if we get some tropical air (humidity) but it should cool down at night pretty quickly
i collect shells when i walk along the beach and i also have this thing for seas glass
at one point we we found so much sea glass that we would toss back half of what we came across
shells are neat too but it needs to be an almost perfect specimen for me to keep, good color and form with no hole
i dont really see many hermit crabs here but we find all kind s of stuff in the tide pools
the nba model sounds like the most safe for players and stff
its almost like an oil worker or fisherman; someone who spends a few moths working in total isolation, then a bunch of time off
/that could be the only way to ensure a full season for any team sport
with the moeny they are being paid, i think its not that bad a deal for most players
speaking of getting paid$$$$$
what is your take on the j.bosa contract
it looks like the chargers pulled out all the stops and showed him the money fo sure
im not sure this was the best move the team could have made but hey, f'the chargers
/and more importantly, f'spanos!
have a great weekend brother!

Yeah, i heard about the bosa signing. Kind of surprising the chargers would pony up for him after trying to play hardball when they drafted him. It might be like a mack/donald thing 2 years ago, where the guy who signs last gets paid more. Myles garrett re-upped with the browns for 25M/yr and 100M guaranteed two weeks ago, now bosa got 27M/yr and 102M guaranteed. I think myles is a better player, mostly because he's more healthy, but they're both elite DE's. I guess the chargers were willing to pay him a market leading contract because theyre going to be in a new stadium, making more money (in theory, f*spanos!, worse decision ever to move them to LA) and wanted to lock up their marquee players long term.

In general it might not be a good move to pay market setting contracts to anyone but a QB. 11 yrs ago the bears gave julius peppers the biggest def contract in history, i think he only had one double digit sack season for them in his 3 yrs on the team. Same with khalil mack, he was great that first year, good but not great last year.

Definitely elevation affects temperature a lot, sub-saharan africa is hot but in the highlands and mountains it's pretty temperate. Plus the views should be awesome in the mountains. But yeah, rain would suck while camping, nothing to do but hunker down in the tent until it passes. But yknow, bring a board game or deck of cards to pass the time, wont be so bad.

its funny you mentioned cards bacause me and the mrs love playing games
loco ocho, is one of our favorites but we also play rummy ( she is a very good player) and other games
i dont mind a little rain and it wouldent be that bad unless it was like full on downpours
so i caught up with my friend who got back from collecting and i was blow away by what he had to show me
im going to get some pics up here soon and i cant wait to show you what he had
he gave me a few high grade choices and said when he comes back through he will let us pick through what he has left
i think bosa was smart to sign a new deal now and we will see where the top end is
you make a great pint about how a alot of defensive players have not lived up to their expectations once they got paid
/a.hainsworth is another high end bust
mack seems to still have a lot going for him and i think he is still top end
i feel like bosa will also continue to produce, just to be one up on his brother
but to spend so much on one player takes away from the rest of the team and they will have to pay derwin james big money at some point here
/at least big for his position
but for sure man, f-spanos

I’ve never heard of loco ocho, had to look it up. Is it like UNO? A card game using special cards, can’t use a regular deck? I remember playing UNO a lot when I was younger, it was a fun time. No money involved so more kid friendly but still, the competition is there.
You ever play Texas hold em? My coworkers liked to have poker parties when that was the big craze, $50 buy in, I never won anything but it was always a good time. Players take turns dealing, you’d need to have poker chips or pennies to bet with though.

I’d like to see some of what he’s giving you, im sure they look pretty sweet. I should actually post some food pics up, I actually used the cooker for the first time in months on a bunch of pork chops but unfortunately didn’t take pics. Maybe ill try another brisket or something now that meat prices have normalized.

J. bosa got paid, for the chargers sake hopefully he’s healthy for most of that contract. JJ watt was worth his contract and more but the last 3—4 years he’s been injured more often than not. Haynesworth just had a bad attitude (he wanted to play DT in a 4-3, not nose tackle in a 3-4) and got lazy and overweight. A. Donald so far has been worth his money, k. mack at least has been healthy even if he’s not producing stellar numbers. Ur right about derwin, he’s going to be the highest paid safety in the league when he gets extended (maybe next year or the year after?).

hahah, loco ocho is our name for crazy eights
one night we were playing cards and trying to think of new games
for some reason we jsut started calling it loco ocho
i used to play poker and black jack when i was younger and would bet a lot
i kind of stopped playing for money, now its strictly just for fun
but i like playing for bragging rights or something small
we are still looking for new games to play
i will get the pics up soon, im having computer troubles again
this time instead of tearing things apart myself, i called a friend who knows what he is doing and i need a new power supply
i think bosa will stay competitive just to set the pace for the bosa name
/who wants to be outshined by their kid brother
but i can see the cap space getting tights over time and the chargers landing in a tough spot as far as retaining/ garnering new talent
/have i mentioned f-spanos?
that would be rad to see what you have been up to with the grill
i made dome pork ribs the other day and they came out pretty good

Heh, i did a search for loco ocho and it came up with this card game with special cards, like UNO. But yeah, it’s amazing how many different games you could play with a standard deck of cards, literally like thousands of different variations although only a few dozen are popular at any given time.
Maybe you could try what the kids play and play Magic the gathering, although those require special cards as well.

I had to replace the power supply in an old PC of mine as well, this is one I built in 2009 or so. But even after that it was acting kind of funny, so I switched the motherboard with a different, slightly newer one, but that one would have issues too. I think it might have been an issue with the case itself, maybe there was some sort of short circuit going on. Then I just gave up on it and haven’t revisited it since, but if I use a different case and everything works then I’ll know it was the case (as well as the power supply). These computer issues can be real frustrating, just like anything electrical, most of the time it’s a common problem but as you troubleshoot and it still has issues you go further down the rabbit hole and after a time it’s like why am I spending all these hours on this crappy ass system? Lol.

Nick bosa is going to be the next ‘highest paid def player in history’ in 2-3 years, assuming decent health. Their dad was a 1st rd nfl pick in his day too, so that’s some good genes there. Nick and joey’s issue wasn’t talent it was always health, but nick was healthy his whole rookie season after having issues his last year in college and training camp.

Bears paid market setting contracts to mack and eddie Jackson (highest paid safety in the league currently). I think the best thing to do is the belichick way, have a deep middle class of players instead of a few highly paid guys. Bears still have a good D but last year they weren’t really top 5 (niners, steelers, ravens, pats, vikes were all better) although maybe the offense’s struggles contributed to that. As long as the chargers have a good QB (Herbert might be something) they should be ok even tight cap space, but ur right it’s better to have many good players instead of just a few great players.
I bought a brisket so ill be trying to smoke that soon, I think if I get a good fire going and then stir the coals to get the fire even it should have a stable temp for a long time, will post results.

oh wow, i dident know that was the name of a real game
i wonder if you an just modify a regular deck of cards to play it
/i will have to check it out
i had a friend who was into the magic card game and he had a ton of cards
i guess some of them can get really expensive
from what i can tell, its more like a pokemon game where each card is kind of unique and you need the real cards to play
it sounds like you know your way around a computer baba'
they have gotten so cheap now days that i dont really mess around with them much anymore but this was a $30 fix and my friend will do the work for free
/actually ill taking him out for dinner
but thats where they get you, charging like $50 to install a $30 part
im glad hes such a good friend, this is the guy who lets me grow weed in his back yard too btw
i totally agree that nick will set a new standard when he gets paid and so far he has been just as good if not better than his brother
i think joey only played like 11 games last season, so if nothing else he is more durable
/like you once said, the best ability is availability
the chargers are hoping the get star play out of herbert, for the first few years he plays for cheap
but you know there will be more players coming to the table wanting more money as time goes on
hope you do cook up that brisket man, that sounds awesome
are you going to put some rub on that for now or is it just chilling in the fridge

From the search it seemed like it was a specialized deck of cards, like some of those card games for kids. Maybe it’s popular in Spanish speaking countries?
Yeah, I think you could easily spend thousands on MTG cards, if you’re buying a lot of decks to find a good one, or buying the good ones outright. But im guessing you could just get a basic deck and have fun playing without getting too serious into it. It’s ridiculously popular and might be an interesting departure from standard card games.

Yeah, another easy fix is every motherboard has one of those circular 3v lithium batteries on it, to keep track of time or something, and those go bad after years but are easily replaced. Well, u might have to take out the graphics cards or something to reach it. But that’s great ur buddy will do the work for free, it’s pretty easy too, a screwdriver is the only tool required, and there’s tons of videos and info online on how to build and troubleshoot computers. You might have to spend an hour or two looking at videos to familiarize yourself but it's something anyone could do, you dont have to be a computer geek or engineer to do this.

I was surprised nick bosa played all 16 games last year plus playoffs, remember he got hurt early in training camp (groin or hammie) and missed most of preseason. But I guess they managed his reps well during the season, they had a very deep DL so could rotate him in and out to keep him fresh and lessen the risk of injury.

According to Pro football reference joey started all 16 games last year, it was 2018 that he missed more than half the season (was that the foot injury?). In 2017 he played all 16 games, and in 2016 his rookie year played 12 games cause of the holdout. But ur right, he seems to have these nagging injuries a lot even when he plays, half the time he’s listed as ‘questionable’ when he plays. Knowing the chargers luck (f* spanos!) he’ll immediately miss half his games once that extension kicks in.

I guess Anthony lynn is committed to giving tyrod the job to start the season, if he’s unable to score pts they’ll turn to Herbert. Tyrod is steady, his numbers in buffalo aren’t actually much different than josh allen’s, his legs making up for any lack of passing ability. Chargers OL might still be subpar so it might be best if you play a QB who can run. Herbert is a good athlete too, and bigger/stronger, but it makes sense to spare the new young hotness some early beatdowns.

I guess I could put a rub on it now and let it soak in or cure for a day or so, good idea. Haven’t really decided when I would cook it, I just made a bunch of pork chops so don’t really need any meat for a while. Im trying to clear up space in the freezer so I can save some of this stuff for later on…

my bad baba', you are right about bosa playing all 16 games last year
as long as he is one the field he is a force, but he does have a history of being on the sidelines
i am actually a fan of t.taylor and am surprised he hasent had more success in the nfl
i have a box of the magic cards somewhere in the garage
one of our neighbors gave them to us a long time ago when my nephew was a kid
he was too young to really get it so i just boxed it up and stashed it
i looked up that ocho loco game and it looks just like crazy eights but has hot pepper cards
i guess they can be use like wild cards to change the suits (like you would with an 8) or even change other things like what catds are wild
i guess you could use a regular deck and just play the jokers like the hot peppers
cant go wrong with pork chops and you can save the beef for another time
ive dry aged beef for a few weeks in these bags i got online once and it came out pretty good

I think if joey bosa ever had a season where he was healthy every game, without nagging injuries, he could easily get 15+ sacks. As it is, he starts but seems like most games he’s nursing something or other, and still gets 11-12 sacks a year. So give him credit for playing through injuries, although I guess most football players do that during the season.

Tyrod started for the browns when baker was a rookie, I think he was alright but that one Thursday night game (against the jets?) he played terribly (maybe he was concussed or something) and baker came in and led them to a comeback win. After that he went to the bolts and of course backed up rivers, who never gets hurt enough to miss games, and now is finally getting another chance to start. He’s average at best in the pocket but he keeps turnovers low, which is the minimum you need from ur QB if you hope to win games.

Chargers will be interesting with a new QB (tyrod or the rookie), raiders might start mariota at some point if the offense falters again under carr, and broncos will see if drew lock is finally their franchise guy. But overall KC rules that division for now.

Heh, you should dig up that box of magic cards if you can, who knows some of them might be worth something on ebay, craigslist, facebook marketplace, even if you don’t want to play the game. With a regular deck of cards you could almost play anything (like that loco ocho game using jokers as peppers like u said) so no need to learn another card game, unless you want to get deep into nerd culture (ie magic the gathering) unless you want to. Dude I made like 20lbs of pork chops, I like pork as much as the next guy but im afraid I went overboard. Ah well, this is why I have dogs, theyre pretty much walking garbage disposals for meat I don’t eat.

I looked up those dry aging bags and they look pretty dope, might have to try them out if u say they work. So the beefy flavor got more intense after a few weeks in the bag? Dry aged steaks are mucho dolares at high end steakhouses, it’d be nice to buy a $70 roast and make like 7 dry aged steaks out of that that would cost like $400 at a steakhouse…
