oh man baba' that looks like a great cut of meat!
it looks like it has that nice smoke layer to it and the inside looks like just the right color
how are you enjoying that bad boy?
they had protests due to the beach closures but i wouldent call them riots
/at least not in a proper sense of the word
the people who i saw were mostly your typical sun hounds, mostly the retired crowd or the beach bum types
/at least here in n.county san diego
not really a bunch to get that rowdy other than some name calling and fingers to point
30m a year is pretty motivating, but im sure luck has his millions in the bank already
/not sure about his salary history but im sure he was paid at least once when he renegotiating his rookie deal
i think the bears are smart to hold off on resigning trubinski for now
i tihnk fournette is out in jax
hope you are having a great day and enjoying that beef my man!

We’ve been enjoying it very much, made a few sandwiches with it, stuck it into store bought tacos (taco bell, shame on me, I know), eaten it with sweet potatoes and salad. Of course, now im starting to get tired of it, lol.

I guess the governor has ordered the beaches closed, but not sure if the cops have the manpower and resources (boats, etc) to really enforce that order, especially if thousands swarm the beaches and are in the water. Still, ur right, protests have been peaceful and I think the beaches are re-opening now (?).

Luck did sign a fat extension in 2016 and got paid well for 3 years, 4 years if you count the 12M roster bonus he collected in March 2019 before he retired in august. So yeah, he made about 100M during his 7 yrs in the league; he was the #1 overall pick as a rookie so got paid well from the jump. Still, some people think by retiring at 30 he missed out on possibly 300+M in future earnings (10 yrs of elite QB play, 30+M per yr) so there’s plenty of financial reason to come back, even if he doesn’t NEED the money.

I think Fournette is going to be very motivated this season, without an extension or his option being picked up it’s a contract year for him so he’s going to do his best to perform. He caught a ton of passes last year and only had 3 td’s on over 1600 scrimmage yds; I expect that he’ll have double digit td’s easy this season, assuming good health. Will that get him a big contract with some other team? Probably not, RB contracts don’t age well, but some RB needy team with cap space might throw him a contract worth close to 10M/yr. Like MG3 got 2yr/16M from the broncos.

you are right about how the market for rb is pretty soft right now
i see a few being at the top of the food chain and then there is everyone else
fournette can be seen as a head ache too so we will see how that effects his market
/maybe its something with the jags, but there seem to be a lot of disgruntled players in that roster
i like fournettes running style but it does take its toll
no shame in picking up store bought taco shells
were they the actual taco bell brand ones? we usually go with the store brand white or yellow corn crispy shells
man, there is something about those beef tacos and i can eat more than my share
/might have to get some shells myself now!:)
i bet the sandwiches came out really good and you cant miss just having it slices with some good sides
/plus lots of horse radish
they are opening up the beaches for activity, but you cant stop for too long or lay out in the sand
how are things on your end? are the public spaces still closed? how about business opening up?
they are expanding the places that can reopen here in socal, but they are limiting them to curb side or take out only
hope you are having a great week my man!
the new schedule comes out this week

Heh, i think ive tried the taco bell brand stuff they sell in grocery stores, it's alright but not any better than the other taco stuff (old el paso, etc) they sell in stores, imho.

I picked up a family meal from the bell a few days ago, 4 hard shell tacos and 4 five-layer burritos for $10. Ate the tacos right away and saved the burritos, reheating them and adding brisket to them. The bell is also selling some sort of diy taco kit for $25, they give you a bunch of shells and meat and cheese and veggies and u can make ur own tacos at home. Not sure ill get that, u really need a group to do that justice.

Horseradish is good with beef but i never have any on hand, it's so strong and spicy that im not sure id ever use it even if i did buy some. But i guess you can add a bit to mustard to give it a kick.

For someone who lives a somewhat modest lifestyle, like luck probably does, there's no difference between 100M and 400M, Jelly. But even tho he's not materialistic, luck isnt stupid, he knows the value of money even if he's not a big spender. Honestly, if he came back it would 100% be for the love of competition and the game, not purely to make another dollar.

I think more businesses are opening up in IL, but large gatherings are still restricted for now. Still takeout and drive thru only for restaurants for now.

i saw that taco bell deal the other day
good call on eating tacos up front and saving the burritos
/even better upgrading them with your beef!
there is just something about taco bell food that you crave every now and then
it takes a lot to play at the top level like luck was at
i dont think he would come back unless he was 100% in; but that would take time away from his family
you ar right baba', if he did come back it would be for the game and not for the money
they are opening up more places here in socal
you can now go places that will have cub side pick up, so maybe you order online and just go to the local cabelas to pick up your gear?
the mrs said it dosent help most places, like ross or other places where you want to go in and look at the clothes or try them on
the nfl schedule is out later today
some people say dont get your hopes up for football this season, but nfl schedule has my hopes sky high!
/that and the weed

Why would Luck have a giant target on him if he came back? Do people in the league hate him or something? I know he got booed off the field during a preseason game at Indy when the retirement news broke, but I have to imagine most colts fans would be ecstatic if he returned.
Imo, he wouldn’t be any more targeted by defenders than any other starting QB in the league, and he has a way better O-line now than in his early years, I think he was the least sacked qb in the league in his last season, ’18.
Im going to go ahead and say that there’s a good 50% chance he comes back at some point in the next 2-3 years. He's going to be fully healthy for a couple years and start to get that competitive itch again.

The taco bell ground beef isn’t 100% beef, there’s some fillers in there like soy but also some MSG-like substances like nutritional yeast extracts. I think it ups the umami flavor of the ‘meat’, to me it’s like crack. For all its questionable quality and additives I could eat that stuff all day, but other people might think it’s one step above dog food. All I can say is “Woof”.

Panda brought back the $20 family meal deal, Pop, so that’s something. Still just drive thru and pick up. What’s this about going to cabela’s to pick up gear? Youre talking about the outdoor sports store, where they sell hunting and fishing and camping stuff? Speaking of camping, are all the campgrounds closed as well?

The rams have 5 primetime games this season, starting with hosting the cowboys week 1. Guess they really want to show off that new stadium this year?
Bears play the rams on MNF around midseason (week 7?), have a week off then play the packers on SNF. Not sure how the bears will do, I suppose if they get decent QB play out of either trubisky or foles they might be a playoff team. The only saving grace is that it doesn’t look like the other north teams (pack, vikes, lions) got any better during the offseason, so maybe Chicago has a chance to repeat 2018, when they won 12 games…

you bet the nfl wants to show off the new rams stadium but i hope the team dosent play flat
/its more about showing if you build it, we will showcase your team
the rams arent that bad but the nfc.w is going to be hot
/just wondering how many primetime games do dem'boys have; do the ram have the most prime time games?
the team that im expecting to see more of is tom'pa bay
/them and b'more
taco bell has this deal right now witha chalupa and taco and drink
between that and the 4x4 deal you could be eating like a king (a fat and greasy KING!!)
between the dog food they serve at taco bell and the cat food tacos at jack in the box, man im totally craving the fast food now!
ive been a good pup

I watched this video explaining how gurley was so good from 17-18 and how the 6-1 defense and a worse O-line in ’19 kept him in check. It’s like 12mins long so not short, but one bright side to the analysis was that gurley may still be a very good player for the falcons next year. Not that that helps the rams of course, but if true, that means the rams waived him more to save money than because he was no longer good.

There are several teams with 5 prime time games: chiefs, rams, bucs, patriots, niners, etc. I think the cowboys have 6 prime time games if you include thanksgiving.

The bell is always good for cheap and filling meals but the woman has laid down an ultimatum, taco bell no more than once a month. You ever watch Seinfeld, that episode where elaine negotiates with her boyfried Puddy to not eat at arby’s so often? I feel like that’s me. Speaking of arbys I haven’t been there in years, seems like, may have to see what’s up with them. Heard their 2 for $6 gyros are actually pretty decent.

I swear I haven’t had JitB catfood tacos but that’s the other thing I have to try if I make it out west again, that and a double-double animal style from InO. Of course, eating that much grease in one or 2 meals may leave me feeling like ive got a 5lb weight in my stomach, but a nice little walk afterwards (and/or an edible from a dispensary) will cure that right up.

i still thing t.gurley is a top tier back when hes on
but his upside is kind of limited and i wonder about his hip
the rams def cut him for the cap savings but its their own fault for way overpaying for him up front
i would watch any of those teams you mentioned except the new look pats (w/o the goat)
/im surprised that the ravens arent up there with more games
its better not to eat too much fast food but its a fun treat every now and then
besides, there are too many good places to eat than just taco bell but i know what yo mean about the mrs
how about if you got real tacos instead, does the mrs like those?
may i love gyros and the ohter day we got some ny style pizzas and i went with gyro and green peppers as my toppings
it was dank as fook and now one of my favorite pizzas
hope you are having a great weekend and a happy mothers day

I swear I haven’t had JitB catfood tacos (had the burger king version, was alright but sort of blah) but that’s the other thing I have to try if I make it out west again, that and a double-double animal style from InO. Of course, eating that much grease in one or 2 meals may leave me feeling like ive got a 5lb weight in my stomach, but a nice little walk afterwards (and/or an edible from a dispensary) will cure that right up.

I think the ravens are one of the teams with 5 primetime games, Pop, I just missed them in my list. Ravens-chiefs play week 3 so that should be a good one, they had a close game last year too. It’ll be interesting to see if defenses catch up to lamar and keep him in check. He had 1200yds rushing and 43 tds (7 rushing) last year to win mvp, not sure if defenses can stop him because he can run and pass so well but maybe with a year of tape they can come up with something to at least slow him down.

I thought it was gurley’s arthritic knee that limited him, he’s got a hip thing too? Well, if he’s supposedly healthy going into the season, and he falls to the 2nd or 3rd rd in my fantasy drafts, I might pick him up. Atlanta is one of the few teams in the league that may have more offensive talent than the rams, so maybe he’ll be able to be elite again (4+yds per carry, 10+ td’s for the season, etc). If he provide 1st rd production as a 3rd rd pick, that’s a boon to any fantasy team.

I made some deep fried burritos recently but the oil must have been bad, it was new oil but maybe it turned rancid because the whole house smelled like fish. But yeah, the woman does like home cooked food much more than fast food, cept when I smell up the kitchen something fierce.
I like gyro meat but lately prefer it just in pitas; ive had it in pizzas and on burgers (a cheeseburger with gyro meat is sometimes called a vicelord burger in Chicago, because it’s supposedly popular with the street gang) before and it’s different but not bad. I think the gyro meat comes in different qualities too. The major manufacturer in the Chicago area, Kronos gyros, has like 5-6 different grades of gyro meat, so that probably makes a big difference as well in taste and texture.

my bad baba', you are right t.gurley has a bad knee
after a lighter work load last year, i think he could have a decent to good season this year
but arthritis is one of those degenerative things where it just gets worse over time
i like the way l.jax has evolved during his time in the nfl
we saw him get shut down a few years ago in the playoffs by the chargers (running a quarter defense) and he came back last year even better
i think as he becomes more of a passer he is only going to get more dangerous
so we went to taco bell this weekend
i noticed that the mrs got things like the potatoe taco, (very grinding!) and that chicken bowl thing
it looked good and had lots of beans and veggies in it too
it was good but i got too much food, thinking i would grind later as a snack; i just have to keep in mind some things keep better than others
/maybe i will fry up one of the left over burritos that sounds good
man, i wish i could get my own gyro meat here in san diego
i once made some using that kavandash (sp?) seasoning and ground beef and pork
/it came out ok, more like a greek meat loaf thing
the mrs is back to working full time starting today! but she still working from home
hope your day is off to a great start brother!

Is the arthritic knee thing for Gurley kind of overblown? I think I read once that everyone who’s had acl surgery has some degradation of cartilage in the knee afterwards, contributing to arthritis, so it’s something that happens all the time after these surgeries. But I guess it’s a matter of degree too, some get it worse than others, and if youre an athlete who relies a lot on explosiveness and lateral movement, like a RB or basketball player, then losing a lot of knee cartilage over time is going to physically diminish your ability. Of course, we’ll have to see how he looks in preseason games; he looked fairly quick and explosive last year from the little I saw of him, maybe his lateral movement/ability to cut was affected more? Which is big, the rams run a zone blocking one cut running scheme, so if he cant hit those cut-back lanes like he used to that could also explain last season’s lack of production.

It’s funny but lamar Jackson participated in the pro bowl this past season since the ravens lost their first playoff game to the titans. He actually finished last in some sort of passing competition where you’re trying to hit bullseye targets, some of them moving, I literally think some WR beat his score. I guess he hadn’t practiced for it so that’s why his score was so low, but it is a little bit concerning that his downfield accuracy is so suspect. But yknow, real life receivers adjust to balls in the air, and he led the league in td passes, so it’s not as if he sucks as a passer, unlike some starters in the league *cough*Trubisky*cough*.

The spicy potato tacos are good, I like the cheesy bean and rice burritos also. You can sub black beans for free and they’re only a $1 at most places. The only stuff that refrigerates well are things without veggies, so the 5 layer burritos hold up ok but even then imo it doesn’t taste as good when fresh. But ive never tried to fry one of their burritos, maybe that will help revive them, like when you heat up a slice of pizza in a cast iron pan with a little olive oil, really gives the crust a nice oily crispiness. Years ago I wanted to make my own gyro thing, not a pressed meat cone thing like your Greek meatloaf experiment, but the authentic schawarma where they layer seasoned meats on top of each other, maybe mixing in veggies like onions or peppers in between, and then put that on a vertical rotisserie spit like they have in middle eastern restaurants. I was even contemplating buying one of the gyro meat vert rotisseries from a restaurant auction sale but it would have been $500 and where would I have put that thing in my kitchen? Unless im eating schawarma or gyro meat every day it doesn’t have much use, right?

i thought gurley ran well enough but the rams were really babying him most of the season
he lost a little bit of his cutback but still can pick up yards when he had a nice lane to run through
the things is like you said, that explosiveness
its weird how some players react to injury
when lt got hurt it was a steady downward spiral and he was never the same runner
im sure he worked hard to rehab and did everything he needed to do, but he was never really regained his side to side quickness
/saw tomlinson on one of those facetime things during the draft btw and he looked great
i dont know if l.jax will ever be a gunslinger like mahomes but he is good at the underneath stuff
also, long passes tend to favor pocket type passers
/i tihnk a.rogers is good at throwing it downfield when on the move
it would be rad to have one of those rotisserie type grills but like you said, good ones arent cheap and cheap ones arent good
plus how often would i make gyro?
/i guess you could also do chicken on it
i like the cheesy bean and rice burrito too; lots of flavor plus enough cheesy goo to make it decadent enough to fill that craving; i never thought about subing in blk beans like that
good move bruh!
mrsChicky is lucky she can work from home
i think she said she is going to go in to the office at some point in the week and will probably stop in once or twice a week as needed
i agree that a lot of things are going to be a lot different after covid
hope your week is off to a great start my man!

Yup, the few times i saw gurley play last season, his straight ahead speed and quickness seemed decent, but i didnt see him shimmy or cut too much to make guys miss. Even when he was rolling in '17-'18 i dont think he stopped and cut too much, he'd make guys miss at full speed without losing too much forward momentum, but in '19 it didnt seem like he could evade defenders in the open field like he used to.

David Montgomery, the bears rookie RB last year, is healthy and is hard to bring down but suffers from a lack of lateral explosiveness; sometimes he'll miss a big hole in the line because he can't jump cut or stick and move as well as some other RBs. Im hoping he'll have a better year this season if nagy can commit to the run game (no more 5 wide on 3rd and short) and of course if the O-line can actually push people around more.

What's LT up to, does he have a dispensary around SD yet? Sometimes ex-athletes like to get into the weed game after retiring...

Aaron rodgers throws great on the run, but i think i saw some stats last year showing that he avoids throwing over the middle, like 80% of his passes, even the deep ones, were towards the sidelines. Those are typically harder passes to complete but it partly explains why he keeps his interceptions so low, throwing over the middle there's a lot more defenders who can get a hand on the ball.

Im not too much of a vegetarian but i do like the cheesy bean and rice burritos, they have the creamy jalapeno sauce in them, adds a good flavor without too much spice. Sometimes i'll get a side of the sauce (30-50 cents) and use it on burritos or tacos instead of the packets they have, although those are good too.

Yeah, i was thinking u could cook a lot of different meats on a vert rotisserie, but since it's wide open to the air instead of closed behind glass you'd make ur house smell like roasting meat for days. Maybe not a bad smell, per se, but not sure the woman would appreciate our clothes and furniture smelling like a kitchen.

haha, lt is the last guy who would open a weed shop from everything i hear
he has this place called snugs pet resort in san diego that him and his wife run
https://www.yelp.com/biz/snug-pet-resort-san-diego-3
/yeah thats him in that pic
plus i think he has a gig working for the cocs' of los angeles as some type of spokes man
other than ricky williams, im not familiar a lot of other top name nfl players really getting into the weed game; but we know they all smoke
who dosent like beans and rice, roll that up
/and coat with spicy cheese sauce please!
have a great day and kick ass brother

Yeah, i knew LT had the dog grooming/boarding/training biz, didnt know if he had anything else going on. I guess he's pretty religious, so he probably doesnt touch any alcohol/drugs. He retired in 2011 when he was 31-32, and he's only 40 now, so yeah, no surprise that he looks like he could still play, as long as he kept his weight down.

Does Ricky have some dispensaries? I know some ex-nba ballers sometimes get into the weed game, in those states that allow it.

So the XFL folded because of the corono virus shutdown, and it doesnt look like it will come back next year, it's down for good. Even the CFL is suffering because of the shut down, hopefully the nfl can start and play games on time, but if fans cant attend games that removes a lot of extra revenue for teams, which affects the salary cap.
