Yeah, i'd definitely give the GoT book series a go if youve got the time. The series is called A Song of Ice and Fire (asoiaf) and Game of Thrones was the title of the first book. And I have to correct myself, the next book will be the 6th book, not the 7th book. Altogether the whole series is supposed to be 7 books, so just one more after the next one comes out, but the story and plot and characters keep growing, i wouldnt be surprised if he needs 8 books to finish it out. Which will be sometime in 2030 i believe.
Newton isn't shy about using his wheels, for sure. Unlike some 'mobile' qb's, he WANTS to run, he says 'u have to let the lion roar' or something like that. Basically if yards are available and nobody's open, take what u can get right?
He was basically the panther's goal line back when healthy, which is why i didnt draft mccaffrey last year even with the #2 pick (went with zeke and kamara in my 2 leagues). 'Member when u and i were amazed at how big and ripped his arms looked during minicamp last offseason? Should have drafted him, but i was afraid a healthy cam would bogart some of his goal line TDs. Ah well. He just signed a contract extension with carolina btw, he'll be paid 16M/yr when it kicks in (still has 2 yrs left on his rookie contract), so he'll be the highest paid RB in the league (zeke was at 15Myr). In 2 yrs he may be on the downslide tho, considering how RBs age...
I keep thinking the smart money is on the chargers drafting herbert at #6, but jordan love from utah is getting some mahomes-like comparisons. Maybe they can trade down with someone, get extra picks, and still draft love in the mid first round? Would the chargers be smart enough to do that? I dont think the chargers draft poorly, just that the front office can seem kind of cheap sometimes.
And hey, let's have some corona related jokes at the bears expense to lighten the mood:
