Im pretty sure the vegeta has a bunch of salt and msg in it, pretty much any good tasting soup base will have lots of sodium and glutamate in it. Ah well, what can ya do except eat it in moderation and try to get plenty of water and exercise to compensate?
You’ve mentioned the better than bouillon before, if I ever see it ill have to pick some up. Also I was at the local Costco recently and saw they had tri-tip in the butcher section, didn’t pick any up but that cut looked good, plenty of red meat with good marbling. Might have to try it out sometime when grilling season is in full swing.

Yeah, ramsey was saying before his last year with the jags that they needed to back up the brinks truck for him, didn’t he show up to training camp in a brinks truck? Like Antonio brown would show up to training camp in hot air balloons and what not, just try to make a flashy entrance i guess. Top cornerback salary has been relatively stagnant, around 15M or so, while top WR salary has topped 20M. So long as Jalen is reasonable about his demands im sure the rams will give him a nice contract.

I thought gurley looked alright in the games I watched him last year, he didn’t seem slow or hesitant, but he definitely wasn’t as effective, I think he averaged less than 4yds/carry last year whereas before he was averaging close to 5yds/carry. And ur right, no team was going to pick up that contract, and the rams had to cut him before another 10M of bonuses and guarantees kicked in. We’ll see how he looks with the falcons, who cut Devonta freeman earlier. He played college ball at Georgia so being back home might help, not sure he’ll get to a 3k yard season but Christian mccaffrey might get close to that.

i think t.gurley will be a great fit in atl
he still has plenty of miles left on him, i just wonder if he will ever be that top notch feature back he once was
j.ram was the one who showed up to camp last season with a brings truck and a pocket full of master locks
he does make flashy entrances and is defintely a showman, but he is also one of the top cover guys in the nfl
im hoping he signs quickly and stays a ram for a long time
so the new logo came out and it was just as bad as the leaked version we aw a few weeks ago
not too sure im buying into the new look, maybe this year i will just stick with throw back stuff
its beenan exciting off season
tri tip is a great cut
i like smoking it on the grill and cutting it thick like a roast
saw my mom today and we picked up some fresh veggies from her garden
its been a wet start to the year and her plot looked great
we got cabbages the size of volley balls plus a bunch of swiss chard
so whats on the menu for the weekend
im hoping i can get the mrs to go for some chineese take out and we might make some olive chicken too
hope you are hanging in there brother and everyone is doing well

Everyone keeps saying that gurley's knee, the one he had acl surgery on in college, is arthritic and will never be the same - i think the issue for him might be that his lateral movement, his ability to cut and change direction isnt as good as it used to be in '17-'18, when he dominated the league. His straight line speed still looks good, but it's that ability to make people miss that's lacking. We'll see what he can do with the falcons, if they have better blocking (rams o-line took a major step back last year) he might be a top 10 back again.

Ramsey's a great player but i think the rams paid too high a price in two 1st rd picks for him. Theyre too top-heavy, with so much of their cap devoted to just a few guys - goff, cooks, gurley who they had to cut, now they have to pay ramsey top dollar. The cowboys are finding themselves in that predicament too, with dak, cooper and zeke making top dollar at their positions. Even the bears i felt overpaid for robert quinn (14M/yr, 5 yrs 70M) - quinn had a 19 sack season for the rams when they were in st louis, got a big contract and never lived up to it and got cut, had a good season with the cowboys last yr and cashed in with the bears and now i fear it will be the same thing, he'll average 6-7 sacks/yr until he gets cut.

I picked up a pork shoulder this week and might cook that in the slow cooker and then finish it in the oven for some carnitas or that sweet asian pork recipe i tried earlier this winter, but other than that i havent been doing too much cooking lately, we had stocked up on groceries and prepared foods so havent really had to do too much in the kitchen.

had a major craving for franks and beans yesterday
the best i could rustle up from the pantry was madras lentils but at least we had some nathans hot dogs to go with it
that pork shoulder sounds like a great idea and you could just leave the meat plain and finish it off how ever you would like
either way you can go wrong with pork meat
im kind of in the mood for chineese food today and we might hit up the take out
i cooked up some ny strips steaks the other night and had it with a loaded baked potatoe
so what do you go for as far as pre made foods go
i like the chicken tenders and try and sneak in a frozen dinner when we go shopping
/they bring back a certain nostalgia
i dont think gurleys knee is going to get any better
you are totally right about how its gurleys knee that is putting a cap on his play and how a better o'line in atl will help him
while he still has that top gear speed, i dont see him being able to move like he used to and take the abuse that comes with being a feature back
the rams are very top heavy and i tihnk they went all in one too many times
i tihnk they felt that they had a shot at the super bowl the past couple seasons so they put everything on the line
/look at signing suh
but it never payed off and now they are left holding the bill
im hoping goff can turn things around and a few new players step up, but i can see a few years of regression until they work through a lack of draft picks and a bunch of bad deals

Nathans is good stuff although I like pretty much any all beef hot dog. Kirkland brand at Costco is a good dog too.
That’s a good idea about finishing the meat however I want it after the slow cooker, throw whatever seasoning I want on it and then broil it in the oven. Maybe I’ll go half carnitas and half sweet Asian pork.

We’ve had a lot of Chinese/Korean takeout lately, those Korean chicken wings are the bomb, perfect blend of sweet and savory and spicy. I think panda express has a deal for their family meal for $20 (usually it’s $30), it’s very Americanized of course but I do like their orange chicken, it’s not as gloppy with sauce as most mom and pop Chinese joints.
Chicken tendies are great, had a couple bags of those last year they cook up great in the air fryer. Picked up an all meat (pepperoni ham sausge bacon) take and bake pizza from sams, have had their pepperoni and plain cheese take and bakes but never the all meat one, it’s a huge pie for $9 so even though quality isn’t the greatest the value is there. Havent had a frozen dinner in a long time, I do fondly remember those cheap Banquet brand $1 ones, theyre quite small and pretty blah quality but for $1 that’s all u can expect.

They’ve got some backups with experience behind gurley like brian hill and ito smith, who had to start when Devonta was injured, so if gurley cant handle 20+ touches a game they can spread it around. Im interested to see how brown and Henderson handle the touches on the rams now that gurley’s gone, if one or the other emerges as the feature back. If the offense gets right again and one RB handles the majority of the work, they could easily be a top 5 fantasy RB.
If you lose the superbowl by one score then I guess you can be forgiven for going all in the next season to try to win it. But ur right, with giving up so much future draft capital they cant restock their team with young, cheap talent as easily. Rams have to find steals with the picks they do have and hope their FA’s pan out; I know they signed leonard Floyd, who was a top 10 draft pick by the bears, in free agency. He’s a good athlete but never a consistent pass rusher, I guess the rams are hoping they can turn his career around like they did dante fowler.

brockers is on his way back to the rams after failing his physical in b.more
im all for the adding something to the d'line; donald is great but he needs another hog or two up front with him to break up some of the blocking schemes
floyd fills a need for the rams at lb and i hope they draft/sign another player at that spot
gurley had his flashes last season but for the most part lacked that explosiveness he had in previous years
if there was a nice lane for him to run through, he could still pick up some yards but you could see he was lacking in lateral movement on most plays
i like m.brown and think he has what it takes to be a feature back for now and im not about to sleep on the kid d.henderson
hes a bit smaller but runs hard and looks like a good compliment to brown
/brown for most downs and hondo for when you need to bang out those tough yards
i dont think either one is close to gurley when he is on tho
we will see how the rams look next season and i think a lot comes down to the o'line play and how goff matures
i hear you about how pretty much all all beef dogs are good
i will have to look for that all meat pizza next time im at costco, while not as good as take out home baked pizzas are pretty good
i have a coworker who is all about panda express and gets that family meal deal all the time
it sounds like a deal for $20! do you need a coupon for that
i like point-point joint style chineese and would totally go for that
/plus i think i could easily get the mrs on board
we did get our chineese take out today and im super glad man
the munchies are about to kick in and i have some left over crispy noodles and pepper beef; grinding!

hope you have a great start to your week brother

Yeah I heard about that, I think last year the ravens rejected some free agent deal after the physical exam and that player had to go back to his old team as well. Maybe the ravens medical staff are just hard ‘graders’?

Bears fans always had hope for leonard Floyd, especially his rookie year. He always seemed to play big against the packers, his rookie year he stripped Rodgers and carried the fumble in for a TD. But he just disappears the other 14 games, I blame part of that on the scheme calling him to drop back in coverage, he’s long and fast and can pass cover well for a LB. I expect him to do well with the rams, who have a new Def Coor in brandon staley. How do you think they’ll do with wade phillips gone, Pop? Wade did great work his first couple years with the rams, but like the offense last year the D was not consistent, think they were the only team in the league to give up two or three 40pt games last year.

Kind of makes you wonder if the Rams O fell off because of gurley’s fall off as well; his ’17 and ’18 seasons he was like peak Ladainian Tomlinson, just wrecking the league. Without being able to rely on the RB as much the rams went much more pass heavy and the offense was much more up and down, still had some good games but got shut down too sometimes.

I have some pics of the pizza I made, it was pretty good although I prefer the crust on the hot ones they bake in the deli, little more thin and chewy instead of thick and crunchy.

The $20 family deal at panda I don’t think u need a coupon for, ive been seeing commercials for it around here but not sure if that deal extends to socal, might want to check their website and ur desired store to see if it applies…

good point about how the rams success followed gurleys rise and fall as am elite back
when he was on it made the team that much better
but i also think goff was exposed at some point and defenses keyed in on that weakness as well
just disguise your coverage until hte last minute and force him to make a quick read and you tilt the odds in your favor he wouldent find the open man or he would make a bad throw
i still think he can take it to the next level, but we will have to see
thats good to know floyd can run in coverage
it looks like his rookie season he seemed to play his best and we will see how he fits into the ramsD
you know im a big fan of wade phillips and think he is one of the best defensive guys out there
i think the rams will be ok without wade, but we totally need guys to step things up this season
so i just hit up pandas web site and it looks like its on! the $20 deal is available and we might have to pick some up this week
so it says you get two entrees, what do you like as your second choice?
the beijing beef looked pretty good and they had this new pepper steak thing too

Free agents is where it will really turn for raiders this year. With all the positives going, there are some GLARING weaknesses that need to be addressed before QB ... So glaring that Compton came in off THE FUKN COUCH this year and was the best ilb we've had in 12 years.

Anyways, all of the above, and more, is the reason DC is gonna be the starting QB for the Vegas Raiders. And #fucktombrady

Well, I called that! Lemme tell ya, Mayock knocked it out the fukn box in FA!!!! Littleton and kwiatkowski (?) have not even put on the pads this year and they are already the best linebacking corp we've had since .....well...shit....Matt millen? Maybe Apple will have a rebirth this year, I dunno. But those two linebackers could completely change draft strategy! I could absolutely see WR, CB with 12 and 19 now!
The magic didn't end there, but I will end my FA cock fluffing with marriotta.... Such a genius move by Mayock to sell Marcus on the "make or break" season for Carr. You guys realize we had Glennon and Peterman on roster last year?!?!
And ya, last year's 1st rounders rocked!
I don't think Ferrell sucked, it was a solid, even first season. There was no splash for sure! Lol. That came from Maxx! But Ferrell got what? 4.5 sacks? Mack got 4. I saw zero reason he won't be a great player.
Luckily, Abram getting hurt didn't hurt us too bad. KJ had a very good year, and Erik Harris kinda broke out. Good enough we had Joyner playing slot corner all year.
Have to see how Mullen ends up. People who know alot more about it say he will be a top notch corner, we shall see. I love rookie contracts. Best change NFL has ever made.

Reggie cleaned up the worst salary cap situation in professional American sports. Mayock rocked out his first year. I'm excited for his second.
Lost KJ...that might hurt. I think a sign n trade for a second round pick was possible, but sometimes it's easier to just cut bait.

You can tell subrob knows his football, those are two of the most well-reasoned posts ive read in this thread all year.
You guys make a good point, that you could do a lot worse than Derek Carr as your starting QB, and subrob is right in that his 2015-2016 years were pretty good (2016 raiders went 12-4 and Carr had 4k yds, 28-6 td-int) but he still feels like captain checkdown to me, and not in a good way like tom brady, more in a bad way like trubisky or other bad qb's: "Im not going to risk a more difficult throw downfield, ill toss it to my RB 3yds away and leave it up to him [RB gets swarmed as soon as he catches it for a short gain]. Even brady will push it downfield once in a while, just to keep the defense honest, and any good qb will pick up 10-20yd completions at least several times a game. Carr seems to struggle to do even that consistently.
But he does seem to be improving every year in gruden's offense. His yards per attempt, after ranking in the bottom 10 the last few years, was #10 in the league in 2019 (8.0 avg yards/attempt). His 21-8 tds-ints arent eye-popping numbers, but it's a 2.5 td to int ratio so he's always done a good job of keeping turnovers low even if his td numbers are avg at best. And subrob is right, their best receivers were a TE (converted college WR who almost washed out of the league cause he couldnt put the blunt down) and a scrappy undersized WR who spent 5 yrs in college (he was a 24yr old rookie, as old as deshaun watson who just finished his 3rd year in the league). Did we forget that they were supposed to have antonio brown as their #1? They spent 3rd and 5th rd picks to get him.
Subrob seems to like bridgewater as the best of the available FA qb's. Im not so sure brees will retire, and if someone offers teddy a foles-like contract (22M/yr) then the saints wont be able to match that. I still think teddy, while good, was more a product of the saints offensive machines (good playcaller, o-line, RB and WR) so he might not be all that great going to a worse team but we'll see where he ends up.
Ferrell had 4.5 sacks and 24 total tackles? Mack had 8.5 sacks, not 4, and 40 total tackles, but ur right, mack definitely had a disappointing year for being the highest paid defender in nfl history. Think there were a couple month long stretches where he didnt get a sack at all. I thought Ferrell at #4 was a bit of a stretch, his college teammate Dexter Lawrence (#17 to the giants) probably had a more impressive rookie season than he did but ur right, he'll get better and better as he gains experience and strength. And subrob is spot on, raiders had some really impressive later round draftees, maxx crosby was a 4th rd pick and picked up 10 sacks and 46 tackles (better #'s than mack), he was so good i think i picked him up for a bit in my fantasy league where we start two defensive linemen. Hunter renfrow ended the season with two straight 100yd receiving games, he had never even had one 100yd game in his 7 yrs in college (j/k, only feels like he was at clemson for that long). Like the bears, the raiders seem to get more production out of their lower rd picks than their 1st and 2nd rounders. Except josh jacobs, Pop is right, that guy is a future elite RB, especially when they start using him on passing downs more.
.
My bad baba...I was speaking of Mack's rookie numbers. And that puts my point in a whole other light. I DO believe Ferrell was a stretch at 4! I almost shit my pants when they announced the pick! However, Mayock is CONSTANTLY harping on character, which is rare in NFL scouting, regardless of what everyone says publicly, and no matter how much info we are able to access on our favorite players/teams nowadays, I've not sat down and interviewed the dude, gotten to know him. I DO know that w the free agency signing of the interior DL from cowboys (Collins?...having a brain fart) the pressure from end of the line is going to be able to step up, not too mention the traditional second year jump that is so common in the pros. And I was happy with our dl coach last year, he was fantastic! But when you add rod marinelli into the mix, along with the best cover linebacker around, another lb that can blitz, another cowboy safety who specializes in the blitz, plus Abram coming back, watch the fuck out!
My quote states raiders Superbowl 2021. Mark it. This year I'm betting we get the wildcard. At the LEAST. With the defensive upgrades in free agency alone the raiders are a team that would have EASILY been in playoffs last year. It came down to last game. Waller and Jacobs playing second year in Chucky's sustem, ruggs on the outside making a healthy Williams our #2, of which he is a prototype, the most misunderstood and misdiagnosed QB in the league, and add in all the 3-5 year rookie contracts making a difference, you have the perfect framework for a Superbowl run in the brand new modern day NFL! I will always love Al, greatest GM in history of NFL (yes, even better than Newsome in Baltimore, as old fuckers like me will attest. I will always love Reggie McKenzie for cleaning up the biggest mess in the history of professional sports. But I'm telling ya, Mayock is the Messiah Al was searching for to lead this team back to glory.
Book it. Bet it. And get the fuck out the way! RRRRRAAAAAAAIIIIIIIDDDDDEEEERRRRRRSSSSS

Yeah, that was supposed to be the tactic the pats used in the superbowl last year, disguise their defense until 15 secs left on the playclock where mcvay couldn’t talk to goff anymore. Goff got so used to having mcvay tell him how to attack the coverage that when that got taken away he had problems processing it fast enough on his own. And that just continued to last season. And of course, the o-line falling off so bad and gurley being half of what he was made things even worse.
Goff is good with a clean pocket or designed roll outs; Trubisky is best when he can scramble and make throws on the run. If only we could combine the two somehow they could be a complete QB, like Rodgers or mahomes or Wilson, good in the pocket or on the move.

Wade phillips is an interesting coach, his first year or two with a team is always great, like when he won a superbowl with the broncos D carrying a crippled peyton in 2015, but round year 3 or 4 when the talent changes the results become more mixed. Maybe he just gives too much emphasis for players to focus on what they do best, but after some time they become too predictable and the scheme is easier to neutralize? Or maybe he lets them freelance too much and over time players get out of position too much?

The Beijing beef is good, it’s a bit spicy though fyi. The pepper steak is a good beef option if you want something milder, I think there’s also a beef option with green beans and maybe one with broccoli, or was that broccoli chicken? It’s all pretty good though. The woman is partial to their walnut shrimp but it’s extra money, maybe 1.50 or 2.50, not sure. They’ll gladly give you tasters of an entrée so u can see for yourself if you want it or not. Dang now im gonna have to get this deal soon too.

I wish I had ur enthusiasm for the home team, Subrob. The bears have had some pretty good teams since ’85 but have always fallen short, so im pretty skeptical if it’s ever going to happen for them.
I did see Kwiatkowski play in the preseason last year, he kept getting victimized by receiving RB’s but when he was pressed into action when trevathan got hurt he did well, the D didn’t drop off at all. The bears resigned trevathan for just a little more than Kwiatkowski got from the raiders, im glad that nick got paid but hopefully we wont miss the depth.

I think clelin had to play out of position at DT instead of DE last year, and ur right signing that malick collins guy from the cowboys (for cheap too) should free him up to assume his more natural edge rusher position. He was college DPOY so it’s not like he doesn’t have talent, and being high character means he’ll work hard and study hard and youre right that he'll get better and better. Marinelli did some great work on the cowboys D, especially when he didnt have a ton of talent 3-4 yrs ago, and Mariota is an interesting signing as long as he’s healthy. I know he had that nerve injury in his throwing arm that made it hard for him to grip the ball, not sure if that was an issue for him last year when he lost his job to tannehill. If gruden thinks he can jumpstart the offense we might see him get some starts this year if carr starts off slow.
Will they be a superbowl team in 2 years? Hmm, maybe if they continue to find good to great talent to surround carr/mariota with in the next 2 drafts, but it’ll be hard with the chiefs and mahomes’ golden arm set to rule the conference. I do agree they have a good chance at being a playoff team this season, they were on track at the midway point last year before fading the 2nd half. The defensive improvements that you mentioned should help greatly with that, I think the raiders had a terrible stretch late where they lost 4 games in a row by 20+ pts, cant blame it all on the D the O wasn’t scoring either but that’s when josh Jacobs got hurt also.

yeeehaawww!!! who dragged this dog in?
we will see how the raiders look when the season starts and i thnk they are making some good moves
unless they draft a new young gun i still think carr is your man; but its nice to light a fire under his ass and make him compete for the job
/while not a fan, mariotta might be a solid back up qb
we will see how they draft but the afc west is going to be one of the toughest divisions this year

im hoping goff can take it to the next level and learn to make his own reads much more quickly, but who knows
like the afc the nfc west is a going to be a tough division and the rams need to keep step
you are right abot the kid with the golden arm and the afc west
kc is the team to beat
i think the door is wide open with the chargers not having a starting qb (and now we knoe it wont be tb12) but the raiders will have to play 16 games of solid football
thanks for the heads up about the beiging beef being spicy
im not really about hot now days and would probably go with one of the toher choices
the shrimp sounds like its something the mrs would like so maybe we will go with that too and you can never go wrong with that orange chicken like you first mentioned!
its going to be on brother!
hope you are having a great day

I think mariota’s first 2 years were good, but then he kept getting injured and then when he played he wasn’t really good but maybe that was more due to lingering injuries? Carr had a pretty successful 2nd year in gruden’s offense, he threw the ball downfield more, except for that late stretch where the whole team played poorly. Im still thinking though that carr (or Mariota) has to be backed up by a top 5 defense and some elite offensive talent to make the ‘ship. And that’s definitely possible if a lot of things go right (Ferrell taking a leap, abrams coming back and balling, FA’s and josh jacobs stay healthy, etc). It’ll be interesting to see how well they play the chiefs, and im psyched to see how vegas turns out for them.

Goff’s got a lot to prove for sure, Pop, I think a bunch of contract guarantees took effect recently so if the rams wanted to cut him they’d have to pay some ridiculous cap hit to do so (like over 50M?). Mostly I think it’s on mcvay to figure out the best way to move the damn ball, with the offense as currently constructed. He’s supposed to be boy genius, if something isn’t working he has to adjust. Belichick does that better than anyone.

The walnut shrimp is very good, it’s not as mayonnaise-y as the version in real authentic Chinese restaurants. Panda overall probably isn’t as good as a good mom and pop Chinese restaurant, if you manage to find a good one, but for $20 that family deal is well worth it.

The 4 meat pizza was packed with toppings and was almost as good as their deli version. Made some good leftovers, pop a cold slice in the air fryer to get a nice crisp on and it was on.

oh man! that looks like good pizza for a take and bake
nice toppings coverage and the crust looks decent;i will totally be on the look out for them now!
i have a friend who is a ducks fan and he was all about this guy coming into the draft and how he should be the #1 pick overall(i was saying it would be jami crab cakes going #1)
he has flashes of play but then just sort of falls off
jacobs is the kind of back you build an offense around and as long as he is health the raiders can move the ball
but you are so right about how its going to come down to the defense getting things done
we will have to see how mcvay adapts to the new look
at one point he was supposed to be this nfl savant but i think he still has a lot to learn
i will say he seems like a smart and driven guy so i bet he is working on things right now
throw a slice in the toaster oven for me too baba', hope you have a great night

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised by the ‘za, I usually don’t like take n bakes in general but this one was good, had a bunch of meat on it. Plus I was able to keep it in the fridge for a few days before cooking, that can be a plus if youre working through other leftovers before wanting ‘za.

I wanted the bears to take Mariota back in ’15, I was vainly hoping they’d trade up or Mariota would fall to #7 overall but it wasn’t meant to be. Jay cutler was still on the team, it would have been most awkward but I was done with him by then. Considering how Mariota turned out (so far) maybe it was a blessing in disguise that they didn’t use up a lot of picks to move up 5 spots to take him (ur right I do remember famous jameis being pretty much the consensus #1) but they picked Kevin White at #7 and that was a complete waste of a pick. White was always injured his first 3 yrs and sucked when he did get to play, he’s been out of football the last 2 years after the bears cut him. If anyone should try to rehabilitate their career in the AAF or XFL, it should be him.

Mcvay’s a good coach but if the O regresses even more… who knows no one’s unfireable, although he’d probably have to suck for at least 2 years before getting canned, and even then would probably get another head coach job right away.
Nagy won COTY in 2018 but last year I wanted to punch the wall every time he’d line up 5 wide on 3rd and short or 1st and goal. Trubisky sucked but nagy’s play calling was too smart for his own good, if that makes sense. Then again the bears line was pretty terrible so maybe he was trying to make chicken salad with chicken shit and he’s not a miracle worker. Same thing with mcvay, maybe the o-line was so bad that even when they picked up decent yards, the number of negative plays was too much to overcome to be a great offense. LA last year was #11 in pts per game but #7 in yards/game, but that was a big drop from 2018 when they were #2 in both.

I think josh Jacobs is a 1st rd draft pick in fantasy this season, and would be an easy top 3 fantasy RB if gruden will throw more passes his way instead of subbing him out for Jalen Richard. I think in tampa and his previous stint with the raiders his RB1 would rank top 5 in receptions at that position, so if Jacobs gets those touches he could be a leveon/zeke/gurley type workhorse. Something that amaze me in today's sports world is how many "experts" there are and how little they know. Especially the NFL. Actually, specifically the NFL.
I'm old enough, and pretty sure others here are also, to remember the 70s-90s, when you got whatever football ya got. Everyone knew a little about alot of teams, and the only inside info was passed thru the local sports beat at the paper.
Now, there is SO much info available, in so many ways, that if you are a fan paying attention to ONLY your team, your analysis and depth of understanding is far deeper than the 64 ESPN hacks employed to explain how the NFL year is breaking down.
Sports journalism ....well...NFL journalism, is facing a crisis when my understanding of raider strategy is far better than, say, Adam schefter or Stephen a.
I don't pay attention to any other team, but I assume from reading some of these posts that the same applies to every other team.
I am consumed in the off season by what's going on w raiders. But I listen to these jefkoffs on every network talking about what "makes sense" for my team, and just shake my head. It's crazy!

Ur spot on, Subrob, it’s virtually impossible for journalists to have indepth knowledge of all 32 teams in the league. Heck, even the ‘experts’ in charge of a team often don’t have a great idea of how to build their team. For example, Ryan Pace of the bears, who won the ’18 Executive of the year award, apparently has a bad habit of bidding against himself for players or picks. There’s a 99.9% chance he didn’t need to trade up one spot for trubisky in ’17, he could have had cam newton for free instead of giving up a 4th rounder for Foles, he’s thrown a bunch of money at the D-line even though the O-line is in shambles.

On the other hand, u seem to know an awful lot about ur team, Subrob. Do you watch pretty much every snap during the season?
Raiders have the #12 (their own) and #19 (bears pick from mack trade). The mock drafts are all over the place but ive seen mocks where the raiders go for a receiver at 12 (jerry jeudy from ‘bama) and defense (Oklamhoma LB Kenneth murray or DB from LSU Khistian Fulton) or a 2nd receiver at 19 (LSU WR justin Jefferson). I don’t know much about murray and the raiders did sign 2 LBs in FA like u mentioned but the two LSU players I saw in the CFP and they looked like studs. And Jeudy is probably considered the best WR in a draft class full of good WR prospects. Let’s hope he has a better career for the raiders than former ‘bama WR amari cooper did – coop was great his rookie year but couldn’t seem to get on the same page with carr before being traded to the boys. I was going to mention Pop, the chicken teriyaki is one of my favorites from Panda, it’s just straight up grilled chicken, sliced, with a really good teriyaki sauce on top or on the side. It’s all meat too so no vegetables to take up space, not that I mind veggies but meat’s more filling.

The panda deal is for online orders only, just fyi. Subway also has a deal where if u order on their app you get BOGO free footlong subs, till like mid april.

KC just renegotiated watkins deal to a 1yr 9M contract, with up to 7M in incentives based on performance and a deep playoff run. So theyre bringing back their top4 WRs, with watkins and demarcus robinson their #3 and 4 guys, who will be way better than any teams #3 and 4 corners. With mahomes slinging the ball, u have to figure theyre good for 30ppg again; even if the defense only plays well for 1 or 2 qtrs most games, how do u stop that offense?

It will be interesting to see how the new Rams O looks without gurley. They still have 3 very good WRs with kupp, woods and cooks, even though their blocking was so bad they had more success with 2 TE sets, leaving Cupp on the bench. They had a couple 1st yr starters on the o-line last season so maybe a 2nd yr leap is in the cards for them. With the niners and hawks in their division it's hard for them to really stand out and win 12+ games but we'll see if mcvay and co. can find something that works consistently enough that they can roll over the league again like in '18.

i saw that but i dont think you have to create an account to order, but i will have to dbl check
but that seems to be the way things are witha lot of deals: online only
so it looks like thebear have picked up n.foles to try and lght a fire under trubs
i hvaent heard about the details of the trade but i wouldent expect it being a blockbuster, more like taking foles off jax hands
with all the problems on the o'line, i tihnk the rams need to move to a quick read offense
i just dont know if goff is ready to make those calls and get the ball to the open receiver consistently
m.brown is a decent rb and should be able to shoulder the load but i would ike to see the rams move towards a more pass oriented game
/you gave three great reasons right there
i think watkins is there to stretch the field in kc and i tihnk it was a good move by the chiefs to keep him
the cowboys and t.cooper came to terms and boy did they go all in
a lot going on around the league and i hope you are doing good
take care of yourself brothr

No, u dont need an account but u have an option to create one after you order, just make sure u uncheck the box for emails, unless you want that. Maybe theyll send you special offers, if thats something ur interested in.

Another hint: there may be an option to write in special instructions at the end, so try and ask for the chicken teriyaki sauce on the side. With a family meal (large entrees) you should get a nice big container of it and it really is a good teriyaki style sauce, perfect blend of sweet and savory imo, although it does get jelly like when cold.

Yeah, when or if training camp opens foles and mitch are supposed to split 1st team reps, and supposedly mitch is good with that. When u finish bottom 5 in most passing stats u really dont have any cause to be offended when ur team brings in competition. Bears gave up a 4th rd pick for foles but supposedly he reworked his deal, jags are still paying him a bunch of money and the bears are on the hook for 8M/yr for 3 yrs? So that's not much more than they were paying chase daniels (5-6Myr) and foles is way better than daniels.

For all the struggles the rams had on O last yr they still finished top 7 in yards and pts per game, so it wasnt all bad. But ur right, they need to mix it up a bit, when they were smashing mcvays offense was running a lot of play action under center out of 11 personnel (3WR, 1TE, 1RB) and defenses truly didnt know if a play was a run or a pass. They kept trying to do the same thing last year but with all the issues they werent as consistent so we'll see what mcvay and co. come up with, more of a quick read short passing game like the colts, more emphasis on the run and quick passes like the patriots, more shotgun RPO's, who knows? But without mini camps to try some new stuff out they might not be able to change it up as much next season.
