Buckeye seems to think the browns are primed for a bounceback season, and vegas has their O/U at 9.5 wins after a 7-10 season last year. They do have the best RB and DE in the game. Rams RB sony michel retired today, he was only 28 but I guess he felt his body was too busted up to want to play anymore. He was only due to get paid 1M this year, maybe if he was getting 4-5M that would have been enough for him to endure another year of punishment.

I think Kyren williams is the RB2, and there’s a 3rd RB on the team too, but ur right I think the rams need some sort of goal line or short yardage back with sony gone.

Legalization wouldn’t be a GOOD option, it’s just the least bad option. You have just as much likelihood of getting rid of greed and selfishness and envy and violence in the world as you do of getting rid of abuse of drugs. It’s never going to happen. So legalizing would be more harm reduction than harm elimination, no one in their right mind would say it would get rid of all problems with substance abuse, but at least legalizing it you would have somewhat more control over it then the current state which is letting criminals/people with zero morals other than making $$ having control of the market.

Next time u run into so much family drama u need to record that and share it with us, Hawk, maybe we could make a YT channel with it. First preseason game is this Thursday, for the hall of fame inductees. The new members this year include:

Darrelle revis was called Revis island in his prime, he was probably the best cover corner since Deion.
U remember don coryell, Pops, with his “air coryell” offense with the chargers in the late 70s-mid 80s? Supposedly it’s still an element in every nfl passing game today, it was just as influential as the west coast offense.

I guess Zeke is still looking for a job, Dalvin cook, leonard fournette and kareem hunt are still on the street, mark ingram too but he’s 33 and may be done.
Speaking of FA RB’s, the seahawks top 2 RB’s, kenneth walker and zach charbonnet, may miss most of training camp with injuries so they may need to pick up a guy or 2 off the street.

Maybe that’s why they grow poppies in tasmania, it’s an island so harder for opium thieves to get in and out, not sure if there’s any place in the US that you could restrict access like that without setting up miles of fences and lots of guards like u said, which might make growing cost-prohibitive. Some people are more prone to substance abuse than others, something to do with their brain chemistry I guess. But ur right, at some point they have to say to themselves enough is enough and get themselves straight permanently.

The rams signed former broncos RB royce freeman. I remember him coming into the league, had a decent amount of promise but he was outshined by an undrafted RB, Phillip Lindsay. He spent the last 2 seasons with the panthers and texans. He’s 6’ and 230lbs so should be a decent replacement for sony as a big body RB. They also have zach evans, a 6th rd rookie who was a 5 star recruit in high school. Regardless the meat of that offense will be stafford to kupp, they just need to run enough to keep the defense honest.

Those guys I mentioned all played in the last 20 yrs so I remember them well even though none of them were on the bears. I remember zach thomas had a neck like tree trunk and racked up tackles playing on the Fins defense.

Im just worried about stafford. He had neck/spine issues last year, one good hit might be enough to cause him problems. Stafford and Tua both have to watch how they land, protect their neck/head as much as possible. It’s already illegal to ‘whip’ a QB down to the ground once theyre in ur grasp, or land on the ground with ur full weight on a QB. You think it’ll soon be illegal to knock a QB onto his back at all?

I see, it’s a hard kombucha, like a hard cider. I thought when u said u went to some lady’s house that she was brewing kombucha herself, in big glass jars with a big ‘ol mushroom cake in the bottom of it.
So this local roots kombucha in a can is more like a seltzer beer type thing? Makes me wonder if the extra abv kills the beneficial fungi/bacteria that’s supposed to make it healthy. Maybe not, I think beer has to get above 10% abv before it starts killing the yeast, which is why it’s hard to make 12-14% abv beers.

Supposedly he’ll be ‘ready to scrimmage in a few weeks’, so he wont be back at practice till preseason is over? Problem is hammies are notoriously easy to re-tweak if you come back too early, so there’s a chance he might miss the first couple weeks of the regular season if they want to be extra careful. What’s their early schedule look like?
Burrow strained his calf and ur right he already had a wrap on it at the time, so maybe that was a mistake to have him take full speed reps when he’s already sore in that area. But at least it wasn’t an achilles tear, it was a non contact injury so it was scary at first but he should be ready by wk 1. He sucked wk 1 last year because he missed preseason with a burst appendix, maybe that will factor into the betting line.

Josh jacobs is holding out of camp right now, doesn’t want to play on the franchise tag so who knows if they can lean on the run game this year. One thing RBs are concerned about is heavy usage, it actually hurts their value now.
Brian hoyer is the backup for jimmy g so raiders fans better hope he doesn’t have to play, I think hoyer was washed up 5 yrs ago. Did we used to have a raiders fan here, subrob? He still around? Everyone comes and goes, Pops, but we’re the old heads.

That’s the way to do it, have the pre-game before the party so if there’s some drink u don’t like being served you don’t have to drink too much of it.

Franchise tag for RBs is 10M this year. I think he’ll play this year, eventually, 10M for 17 games is too much to pass up, especially if you havent been in the league that long. Not sure about jonathan taylor with the colts, apparently him and jim irsay (the colts owner) don’t get along.

I think the franchise tag is fully guaranteed as soon as u sign it, so if u get hurt during that year you’ll still get all ur money, just that next year you’ll have no contract and most likely screwed.
Jonathan taylor isnt even under a tag, he’s in the last yr of his rookie contract, as a 2nd rounder he’s due for 4M this year. He only got 1M in 2021 when he led the league in rushing.
