I see that the chargers have until Jan 15 to decide to move Inglewood, home of the Rams' future stadium. But that isn't due to be completed till 2019. Do the chargers stay in san diego till then (leaving you two more years of football) or do they share the LA Coliseum with the Rams for the next two years (the USC trojans also play there, making it a very busy stadium most weekends during football season).
Kroenke is a shrewd negotiator but he wants the chargers in Inglewood as much as the chargers want to be there. A 2nd nfl team means more business (parking, concessions, etc) for his 2 billion dollar plus development. And it's either the raiders or the chargers that are going to be that 2nd team, and the raiders might be going to vegas... i guess we'll see how it plays out.
I didnt know the cowboys had a winless season once, but that might have been before the merger, before the Superbowl era. Post merger, it was the Bucs in the 70s and Detroit in 2008 or 9 that had winless seasons. Am I missing one?
The browns are stocked with draft picks, but have had extra picks the past few years as well and those havent turned out to be much. Luck is always a factor in the draft but the browns seem to be worse at it than most teams, probably a result of having new coaches and gm's every 2-3 years.
But you have to figure the browns will pull out of their funk at some point; arizona was putrid for decades before having some good stretches the last 10 years (kurt warner, carson palmer years), even playing in a superbowl during that time.
I thought irsay was still on probation for his dui but that ended over a year ago, so he's free to stuff as many pills and drinks into his mouth as he wants.
I think luck missed a game or two this season but the offensive line and overall defense are still sub par; i guess it was all luck could do to drag this roster to playoff contention (only being eliminated in week 16). Didnt he just give pagano and grigson extensions?
Buffalo couldnt even wait till the last game to fire Rex Ryan and his brother Rob. Maybe it's cause they want to give anthony lynn a 1 game tryout for Head coach, and/or to start EJ manuel because tyrod taylor is guaranteed 30 more million in case of a career ending injury (kind of like how the niners didnt want kaepernick to start until they renegotiated his contract to remove most of the injury guarantees).
Is this the last we'll see of the Ryan bros as NFL coaches? If so, then they'll probably go into tv, and we'll see a lot more of them on tv, doing commentary on games. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing...
