New extraction technique? Rosin tech?

How long does your rosin take to stabilize? Mine is always runny goo for 2 weeks then starts waxing up.

I press at or under 200 it's always dark and not stable for weeks...

Any thoughts

Put in a small room with a Dehumidifier running for a couple days?

Certain strains are gooey and runny. I don’t worry about color so much anymore, every strain is different, as well as harvest time, age of buds, etc.

What starting material are you using? Leaf is darkest by far, flowers usually have nice Amber color, followed by water hash. My best product that is a translucent yellow comes from dry sift that's sifted at 160u then pressed at 160f for 90 seconds once at desired psi through 37u bags.

Also the stabilizing starts almost instant on the dry sift and water hash and some strains flowers depending on strain. Leaf makes lowest grade rosin that creates dark unstable goo that I've had complaints of clogging people's burners and being to gooy to handle properly so now I just dry sift it first.

Check the trichome colour. If they're amber or brown, sifting or washing will help lighten it up but only marginally.

Better to judge by the taste and the high but first impressions are made with the eye.

Opinion. I've had and made bubble that would pucker your lips.

I love me some sift but the yields are a pain.

Every type has an extraction it is suited for, generally speaking. Some make great bubble, sift or solvent. The odd duck does everything well.

For one pass sift I use a 160-200 range and agitate or shake with a light hand.

Best stuff I can make from last years material. Got a taffy consistency can hold it for a while before sticking to me fingers.guess that's the best I'll get until I press fresh material in a month or 2...

So how can I go about using drysift to get rosin???

for sift i'd probably double bag it. maybe a 37µ inside a 60-90µ.

press low temp, and apply pressure slowly. i generally apply just a bit of pressure and then leave it for 30-45 seconds to just heat and begin to liquefy the hash. increase pressure slowly and you should avoid blowouts.

pedro squishes some dry sift in the video below and goes over his process.
