I was over at a comrade's place a couple weeks ago & we were pressing flower & hash in his press. The hash bags were blowing out and the flower bags weren't so we tried burying some chunks of hash in the flower bags with the bud. It worked very nicely, the filtration provided by the flower was maybe even a little bit better than what the 25 micron bags do and the amount of rosin we retrieved were in line with what would have been expected from the amount of flower + hash that was in the bag.
I've appreciated this phenomenon myself.
I press straight bubble in 25 micron bags. My yield average 65 to 70 %. Don't over load the bags

I have been busy figuring out how to get the best results with little waste.. I dont use Pre made bags anymore. They waste way to much. You could still use them but they need to be trimmed. Its much cheaper to buy in bulk.. I got me a roll of silkscreen 120um. If you have a pollen press they work the best to prepare the flowers for pressing. I put the puck in a 4x4 piece of silk screen. Trim off all excess screen. I put a same tab of double back tape to hold the screen closed. Still working on better idea for this. Just make sure the tape is not under the plates. Place into some parchment paper. This is the results @195f.

Build one from a 15ton H press and premade plates with pid controllers. This will be the cheapest. Then use a pre press about 1" smaller than your plates. 3x3 plates use a 2x2 pre press. Lots of people out there these days making heat plates, just find a reputable company and start pressing

Those work great for a re-press. Do check locally, I got mine cut for $15 USD. Combined with the 600 lb quick clamp and you're ready to go.
I only use bags/filters for hash.

It dont matter, I am learning to grow the kill, killer rosin will follow.
I find we dont have the climate for drysifting so I am focusing on bubble hash rosin and I think the potency is up there on some of this stuff. Not many people make batches of bubbles of with 5+ strains every time, I think it makes for a stronger end product.
Crazy how rosin hasnt caught on in the clubs here in sac, think its the name they dont like, sounds to much like resin. On another note, the club said my gg4 "wax" and "shatter" some of the best they had!
Rosin is an incorrect term. Everyone is meatheads for using it.
Rosin is taking hash and rubbing it on a hot bowl, such as stainless, and collecting the resultant smear.
What we are doing is heat press extraction.
