Well good, I dont like the word rosin either! I call it solventless whatever its consistency is ie butter shatter wax ect.

HPO, to hmk point it's simply heat pressed oil. I am sure in time people will start calling it extra virgin oil etc depending on the heat and press times.

I can make clean concentrates when ever I need to. I use to make a lot of BHO. I like the Tastes better vs BHO. It def converts THC to CBN. This makes it excellent for night time use.

I'm on the edge. Of what I'm not sure.

This ^^^^...If i get a wild hair for dabs I can go from sitting in my chair thinking about it... to collected and ready to go in 15 minutes. Faster if I was to stay on task. All the time spent purging to get product tomorrow or later, forget about it... you're done and heating your quartz.

Same coin buddered and transfered to good ol' parchment.

Real pain in the fucking ass cropping photos for one site that is living in 2004 and fails to realize 90% of traffic online is mobile.

Sometime's you get that Yahoo vibe. Watching the world change and still doing that same ol' same ol' until you wake up and realize you've marginalized yourself.

none rosin.

Oil or extract are not bad. I prefer extract really, HPE. It is most accurate and none of the terminology is vague or arguable.

Whats everyone experience in terms of yields with rosin press vs BHO ? Sugar leaves Im ok to make cannabutter out of. So the material I'm using would be lard and small popcorn nugs. So essentially flower, just not dense and large buds. I keep on reading that rosin needs high quality material, and when you run the leftovers through tho or qwiso you still get more out of it. So Im thinking the quality is high, but its not the most efficient at extracting every last little bit, like BHO.

All the reading I have done, and I can't find this specific area being discussed in detail, love to know this threads thoughts and experience.

Mind sharing your buddering process with us?

I haven't had much time to experiment but before I got busy I was on the path of trying to create a more stable product. Some genetics just seem to be more stable from the get go, although I assume there must be some techniques to make the product more temper/budder/shatter.

Haven't tried it yet, but was planning on trying a dehydrator, and or a vac oven.

Paulie: Seems efficient to me, at least with flowers or hash. Sugar trim can be tumbled than pressed. We hit right around 20% on most flowers, give or take a couple percent depending on genetics. Which I feel like 17-23% is most likely almost all of the oil in most high grade flowers. You see people brag about 34% lab tested flowers, then a second lab tests it and it hits 18%.

Heady primarily used very fine sugar trim as I recall and made a product that looked as good as any made from larf or flower.

I either try to catch between jarring and the start of cure. I use Boveda on dry material for 7-10 days. A moisture content above the prime smoking spot seems to give more budder.

The most stable nonbuddering rosin came from a 8-10wk cure. No shatter at room temperature but it maintained a nice clarity. Pull and snap.

I don't have a process really. I blend each press together into one mass and leave it at ambient temperature under cover. I think I am going to follow along kindasfck's method of adding a desiccant. Neat enough guy to check out on Reddit or IG, but he has lately clammed up re: proprietary..

After collection I usually rework it once or twice over 3-10 days until it makes a homogenous coin/paddy. Recently had a high heat/pressure/time second press come out black as sin, only to budder up to a light peanut brown/tan. Thought I had mislabeled it but there she be. Was.

I've thought a bit on vacuum purge or vacuum desiccation but really don't know all that much about it. Do a before and after? You would think any very volitile terpenes would have evaporated while pressing anyway.

Paulie,

My opinion. Certainly not the only one.

Well made flower rosin mimics the flavour of the flower as it was growing. The trade off is a lower yielding higher contaminant (wax, fats, blurple) product.

Can't speak so much for hash rosin but it seems a popular method.

Haven't processed any pucks but I hear 3-10% yield with solvents.

Blech. That pile of work has been building up awhile.

I only make hash rosin, it budders on it's own when I leave it out of the fridge in the somekable portions I leave out. It is usually 4 or 5 containers with 5gm per container so they are out for a few days, it is warm and dry here so not sure if that is a factor. Not all varieties budder but most do...

Ah had some haze budder up all creamy looking like that.

Real easy to spread on a paper for a spliff. I don't really dab much, maybe once or twice a month.

Anyone else seen Sunfire/Ozwerth's new 30t benchtop? Legs look hokey pokey but the unit itself is a beast.

Harvested recently. A lot of my harvest went untrimmed straight to the rosin press. 126G of untrimmed recently dried flower to 24G of rosin

19% Yield. Nice! By untrimmed you mean all sugar leaves still attached? Im assuming you removed fan leaves though, and de-stemmed. As well this was dry right? Any plans with the leftovers to see what might be left in it? Do a BHO blast, or some cannabutter...

you probably need a good dab rig.
