Can you score Rare Dankness seeds at any dispensaries CO. I know DNA was gearing up to work with River Rock. On a quest for seeds, never can get enough, and I'm sick of mail order. Had some friends do Reserva Privadas DNA's Hemlock Durban X LA that where bred for the CO market.

Hemlock was an awesome cross, one that I would gladly purchase another pack of to run again at a later date. Regarding RD gear I would start on with their website and see if they have any dispensaries listed.

Also, if you know of any Hemlock packs floating around would you mind pointing me in the right direction? I also ran Lohan, Mammoth, and Lucy but none of those were worth fooling with again and the Lohan especially was very unstable. Some Hemlock pics for old times sake...

A friends family really enjoyed it, "was easy on the operator." I bet they are still rocking it. Maybe I could get some cuts of the Hemlock and their 90's stash of White Rhino beans. Im a little on the fence with the Durban crosses but was surprised the Hemlock was such a producer. LA nor Durban crosses never yielded great for me, slow or tiny.

Your Hemlock looks awesome. One of the better CO creations I've run across. Durbans surging in popularity.

Checked out RD's website. They are bred in Spain now and will not ship anywhere, especially Colorado, wack. I know they used to work with River Rock but had a falling out something about Monsanto. The bud tender at RR told me they where going to work with DNA but the current website does not mention it. So many dispensaries seem scared of seed sales. I remember a medical club in NM told me that each seed could be counted as a plant and feared federal prosecution. Funny how in the UK they are just souvenirs therefore legally benign.

Your best bet then would be to attend as many events and expos in CO as possible and pick up packs that way. I picked up my pack of LeeRoy from the Rare Dankness booth but that was at the 2015 Cannabis Cup in Denver and there's no telling when that will happen again.

You said good news for people interested in the Rec market in more than one state.

Not sure how you draw that conclusion.

I would be very surprised if other states immediately opened their market to outsiders. I would also be very surprised if states adopt the model CO has.

Yes the tax money stays in state, but it would do that regardless. The state wants those that live in the state to benefit, which was the whole reasoning behind the two year residency. No one wants to see Livwell set up in every state.

If that requirement is in fact being lifted, it is simply because CO wants more tax rev. Maybe it is the fear of CA going rec.

Regardless, a turn key licensed op and dispo can be anywhere from $1-5M. If you don't have that kind of financial backing, you are going to have a really hard time competing in CO.

I agree with the fear of CA going rec. I could care less about buying someone else business that I can build myself, especially since I don't want a store front just a grow. Ive spoken with more than one attorney(same as RD industries) and they say its very easy to do for 15k for the license. Not sure why you're getting defensive with me.

I reaallllyyyy wish Colorado would get rid of the Vertical market/cultivation so guys like us could strive for small batch boutique cannabis to sell to dispensaries and avoid all the bullshit redtape.

And just think that would help to shrink the size of the black market...

What is the next major cannabis event in Colorado? The HT cup bullshit was a major letdown. It was a great place to pick up seeds and meet the breeders.

Sweet see ya there, maybe I can track down that hemlock....

Won't be there because family will be in town. I went to the past one in January and had a good time nerding out. There was at least one seed vendor there and Black Dog LED will probably be there. They are a good group of guys and they always have some big ass mom plants there at their booth that they chop up and turn into clones for everybody. I would attend the last day of the event and be sure to have a container or 3 for picking up cuts from them. Ones that I remember them having are Sour Kush, Sour Diesel, and I think they had Flo and Blue Dream. I picked up Sour Kush and Sour Diesel but I lost the SD in a cold snap outside. The Sour Kush I have from them is rocking and rolling in my baby greenhouse right now.

I ended up just using some old water bottles and put the clones in there. That works just fine to get them to the house and put them in cubes or whatever.

Why don't we have an Ic mag cup in CO? I have been looking at starting a growers event here in DGO call it the Animas nug run would any Denver folks cruise down for such a thing?

I'd be all over that. I was trying to get the ball rolling on an ICmag CO event but the moderators didn't like it, citing TOU violations. They are still concerned with people's safety and privacy which I understand. There is only one mod in CO that I am aware of and they were more open to the idea. I think that that is where the communication breakdown is, they don't realize how the scene has changed and matured. I hope that in the next year or so we can take that step. If that is the case I'm all about it and would love to help organize an event.

Been discussed, the mods can't support any event that isn't licensed in some way to cover them legally against liability / exposing their business interests unnecessarily, plus privacy stuff on top of that, so until such licenses become available, they're not even thinking of doing events in CO.
