Hello everyone! New member to ICM and to CO, long time lurker since forum days on EDIT.

How is everyone's evening doing?

Have some seeds coming out of Barney's Farm and others also that will be cracking soon.

I was wondering if anyone had a wishlist of varieties they have been hunting for?
I look foward to the chance at scoring some CrazyXSeeds - Lemon Stinky - grown by MarijuanaMatt!

Welcome to icmag and colorado :tiphat:

Hello to all. Finally getting caught up on the conversation here. Born and raised in Southern Colorado, I've spent a bit of time lurking around ICMag but never commenting. Some interesting opinions on here concerning our future. I have no clue what is going to happen with the reefer "industry" but if big business gets control it won't be good for small timers like me. My guess is the people like me who want only to grow their own stash will be legislated out of that opportunity and forced back to illegality. That's what big business tries to do. Oh well, SSDD.

seems that instead of passing a clubs bill that provides a legal avenue for special events and locations licensed for consumption.... localities are still shutting down all the existing clubs who are not in violation of any clear ordinance or law, here comes a message from iBake peeps, asking for help:

Unfortunately I can not support someone who is a giant fucking thief.

Got one of my friends for over 60k when he first moved to Denver. I can't believe this guy can still walk. :)

but colorado will never be "insignificant" for the sole reason that this state was FIRST. the "jackie robinson state"

I mean that from a fiscal/industry point of view. The novelty of being a pioneer state will last for awhile. The tourism aspect is over if CA goes rec though.

Was there a first state that ended the prohibition era of alcohol, or was that National all at once?

I'm not a Colorado native, but I have been coming here since I was four. Colorado used to be known for great skiing and outdoor activities. Now every time I mention CO, it's met with a snarky comment about weed.

I am ready for the rest of the US to catch up, and CO get back to being a ski state. Florida is kind of a shit hole. Let it be the Weed state.

Just my opinion.

Sounds great. A bunch of light dep. I hope you find someone that wants to buy it. Lots of weed here.

Colorado will be insignificant in the Cannabis industry in 5 years.

Lots of weed? You mean like mendocino/humboldt counties a lot or tiny little colorado a lot? I don't think you even know what a lot weed is, try 100000 lbs coming off a single road in just one neighborhood in one corner of one county, then get back to me about some tiny little 500 light warehouse grows.

CO will remain significant for the foreseeable future as long as states like texas oklahoma kansas missouri nebraska remain prohibition states.

My family is from CO originally, I go skiing there every year, visit all the time. I think you're out of touch with reality trying to protect your personal income and thats cool but you sound like a straight up hater.

You mean something like something to sit in the back of a truck filled with hemp males fully flowering and driving around spreading, I mean sharing with any female plants with in the reach of their pollen?

No I am thinking creating prefabbed buildings to support an almost open soil grow contained in the middle...The rest I should keep to myself. But literally about a week to construct, dig out grow area, set soil and roof and start running. It would have an indoor area for cloning, mom's and seed starts...If I can figure out how to do this right it should pay for it-self from the first harvest (but only one a year).

20ft+ tall building, metal up to 10-12 ft, glazing covering the remainder. Metal portion of building should be well insulated and glazing doubled up for heat retention in winter. All on a foundation built like a bottomless swimming pool... deep stem walls so as to eliminate burrowing critters, if at all possible. Raised beds of top of naturally amended native soil.

Multiple harvests & long flowering jungle types would be possible in such a build.

I saw some shipping containers stacked 2 high and covered with a hoop structure in Moab, UT the other day that started turning ideas around in my head as well.

Yeah.

I'm out of touch with reality...

I am moving from CO in less than a month. You can have it all sport.

Once California "lagalizes" there will be no "legal"pounds coming out of that neighborhood and all of them will end up in prison.

good luck.

I'm assuming you do the "my dick is bigger than your dick thing a lot?"

And I thought Cannabis was suppose to help get rid of ego's. I guess not.

If you don't waste time/money closing it up air tight then you can expand the area in between more than most anyone has thought of...Let mother nature force your hand but bleed her dry of every last drop you can while she lets you. You can take this to a very low e extreme and possibly go off grid. The problem I have is you need people on site and the state says no living on site. I haven't found a work around for that yet.

Sounds like a bunch of shitty pot, that gets shipped out of state to the East.

I like to grow good weed.

Commercial pot grower from CA. Hopefully he has some Blue Dream.

I am sure he realizes that Maine, Mass, Arizona, Nevada, and California are all probably going to legalize this year. The fact he left CA, and has come to CO to start a Cannabis business, is retarded to me.

Large farm type property with the actual residence subdivided and zoned residential while the farm stays... well... the farm.
I think a lot of farmers with a lot of land set things up like that so that they save on their tax bill but I could be wrong about that. It is an option however.

Another thought...
Wouldn't a grow op require some sort of security guard?
24 hour security would solve those issues... I'd think.

All of this is so fucking true. :)

"But, But, my hood produces 100,000 pounds in an unregulated black market where there are zero rules, and quality control doesn't exist." :)

Ok, I want to him deal with the MED in a "little" 500 light setup without getting fined out the ass.

He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

Failure before he has even begun.

Once things are legal at the federal level, you'll have what is called interstate commerce. That means weed will be grown in one location and transported to another state, how do you think you get your produce from the grocery store and where they get it from.

That is kind of my point.

Does Colorado compete in the Citrus game? Tobacco? Strawberries? Ornamental? Anything horticultural?

You obviously don't listen to the Dead.

I can just tell when people are full of shit. Hopefully that law gets lifted, or you won't be growing shit. Johnny Come Lately.
