There were some thrips on one of the SFV BX's I brought in so I sprayed them with spinosad. I've been rotating that with Triact 70 for bugs etc. The queen of the room is this LIOS BX x Skunk Basic 5 I found in a batch of seeds from Melty. She's going to stretch double of what she is now so I'm working as fast as possible to straighten this place out. I'm the worst carpenter hands down so even the finished job will be "ghetto" :)...This one is going to be an animal though!!

'Sup HDN?!!:) Preparing to go out and take down the Chemdog this morning, I reckon she's had enough abuse and I can't keep those branches up forever. Boosting the lights really made a huge difference in the size of the colas as well as the rapid disintegration of the fan leaves etc. Now I can put some more light over this tray and hopefully kick it into action. It's been a bit slow to start but every time I flip small sours they take a bit to fire off. I had hopes that the other two, which have roots, would start growing out but today they're off to a corner and I'll fill the spot with another slab with SFV BX3's.
I had a small 3 gal bucket of straight hydrocorn that I flipped 3 6" sours in last spring and they did the same thing, slow start but great finish so I'm hopeful.:)No drippers yet...

Managed to have a good whack at the chem yesterday. The hardest part was trying to pull the colas out from each other, they were packed so tight and much to big and bent over which made for tough going but I'm not complaining. This chem is so different than all the others I've run in sheer mass. Not much surprises me any more when I'm running a clone I've run before but the amount of big tops per cubic ft was incredible, even the side buds off the main tops were bent. Honestly it's a real mess to take down but worth it.
The weather's been great for indoors and out, days in the high 60's, low 70's and nights in the 50's. Whatever this chem may be it's a freak when you crank up the lights. I was so busy trying to take this one down I didn't have a chance to bring up the rest of the BX3's. After working on it for 6 or 7 hours I've barely dented her...:)I'll try and grab a pic of what's left in a minute.

This is the spot where I cut tops for hours yesterday and like I said, it looks like I never started. There were some rotten leaves where the tops were pressed together but no bud rot or PM which is amazing. This whole thing is all the plants' doing I just added water...:tiphat:

This branch way in the back had fallen over about 4-5 weeks ago and split the stem a bit so I taped a fish hook with the point facing up to a bamboo stick and pushed it up and hoped for the best. It looks ugly with all the dead leaves but there's gold in there. When I tied her up at about day 20 I thought I had it covered but this one outgrew me by a mile. I knew I should have thrown a net over her but sometimes I like to just go "natural" as inefficient as it may be...:)

I used to have a Sensi G-13/Hashplant that finished indoors in 45 days but outdoors it would still be going with 10" of snow on the ground, so I learned early on that fast indoors doesn't mean fast outdoors.;-)

That's interesting! I never thought of a short flowering indoor plant taking forever outside.

Oh yeah, I learned that one the hard way!Way back when I still had some vigor I stuck about 25, 5 gal buckets with clones of a 45 day Sensi straight Hashplant. I must have been about 22 or so and I thought I was going to crush it, instead it ended up snowing on all my buckets about Oct 12th and the plants had small thumb sized buds. Luckily I had more spots and energy to burn but between deer, elk and hicks I lost about 60%. My neighbor who knew more about finish times and farming in general had a great year running Williams Wonder down in one of the river gulches near Lemon Reservoir in Durango CO.
That was a tough place to grow but you could do it but I was young and totally missed the fact that in Sept/Oct there would be hunters running around everywhere. The next year I did much better with the WW clones but ran into trouble with the sheriff and hustled my ass out of there back to NM. Back then I would have been in the county jail down on the 160 for a good while...:)
I still dream about the cabin I had up there, it was probably the best time of my life. The school of hard knocks did everything to make my later years much more productive.;-)

Well, not much going on over here other than trimming and keeping things watered. That big chem was a bitch to take down with all the dead leaves and such but the flowers are disgusting so complaining is just part of my life...:) My rockwool slabs are going great, a few of the D-Kushes are growing real slow but they have huge stumps for 12" plants. I put the hugo blocks on a big slab and so far so good.:)

This is the clone from the biggest, most vigorous female of the Nevs Blueberry x Lucy's. She's about 10 days into 12/12 and not stretching so much yet, her sisters are doing great in the rockwool and so far none are growing into giants, they're staying shorter with tighter nodes etc. I have "high" hopes for this one as well as some of the others.

I've been flipping most of the SFV BX3's I have and most have been females but I did find one nice male that's going to be in perfect time for pollinating a few of the sour d's in the slabs. The cross I made with the sour and the BX2's came out so great that I couldn't believe they came from my own seeds. Apart from my sour grape the only standout cuts I've found have come from other peoples work esp Melty, G-man and Karma.
Sometimes I can't help but feel I'm falling behind nowadays, I see so many great grows from new seed stock that seed makers I've never known about have made. Some really great shit happening in the "industry". Also some really stupid things like a radio commercial I heard the other day about a seminar in Boston that would give you the tools to enter the new cannabis industry and be a millionaire with only 5-10 hours of work a week. I wish these folks would go away but that's a dream!
This is my big ol' Orange Kush after her third defoliation. I have some friends who are running her now as well but they haven't been able to grow her to any really decent size which is strange because my one friend usually grows everything huge. He grows the best sour d of anybody I know too...:tiphat:

I couldn't agree more about the industry changing super fast and feeling left behind. But on a for real note, you think your behind now. Join Instagram and then you'll really feel like your standing still, lol. The amount and variety of new varieties of cannabis being made on the daily will make your head spin. The way I look at it is, if you like what your growing that's all that matters.

100% agree on that one. I'm still in the flip phone zone so I've never even seen instagram. I think I'm to afraid to look but you're right I like what I'm running and it's working so I'm going to stick to my same old routine. I just started flowering some UK Cheese from a clone a friend brought to me. There's loads of fake ones going around but the source was pretty tight, either way we've run one to finish so far and whatever it is it is one skunky mutherf*ker. Mine are at day 21 of 12/12 and loading up fast. This thing can really throw some weight. She reminds me of sour d a bit as far as the end product's "Boutique" quality. You can just stare at it and say "damn, these should be in a museum", some crazy shit like that.:)I have a pic from yesterday....

There's two of the cheese cuts in a corner with a huge amount of light and they're both tied together. There's a big one in my veg room I'd like to flip in a 4x4 net but I can't decide whether to run that or another big SFV I have. My place is such a mess right now, when I'm done trimming out the chem I should just take a week to prepare for winter because it's coming faster than I'd like to admit. There's a bunch of holes in my armor right now...:)

Run the Cheese man ! I'm actually on a Cheese hunt right now. Just popped a few Cheese x Granola Funk and GHS Cheese. I have a few Power Cheese made by Iffy, those are on deck if I don't find a cheesey enough plant in the Granola Funk hybrids.

Alright DTOG, Cheese it is. I pulled the big ol' mom out last night from the tent and I'll try and stick her into my 4x8 sometime today. I have a 30 gal storage tote prepped up for a container so we'll see how big I can manage to grow her. She's about 4' tall now but untopped so I'll whack her back and turn up the volume to 11.:)

I found this pic I took in CO last winter when I was out touring dispos when the snow was beaten up...Long story short I bought some of the worst weed I'd ever seen in my life, let alone bought for $50/eigth so this is what I thought that dispo should look like. No offense to anybody from CO because I know they're way better than this x 10000000000.:)

Riding the storm out here, weather's been as bad as you could want, esp for the outdoor growers. Sun hasn't been out for more than a few hours in almost 19 days, the rain just keeps coming. Managing things indoors though but it's costing me trying to keep the RH down with the rain lashing my shop more or less continually.
My SFV BX3 male is prepping to open some flowers any moment. I'm really encouraged by the smells I'm finding in the females, almost straight SFV where my BX2's were more on their own. I'm as bored as can be so bear with me...:)

The rockwool tray next to the male is booming considering it's 22 days into 12/12 from 5" starts. Luckily I have tons of shit to do because the weather is uber dreary. I'm not sure to many outdoor plants can handle this for much longer. Our sour grape is holding her own despite the lack of sun, so far no rot or PM but I haven't seen her myself in some 10 days or so, I'm relying on what my friend is telling me, for all I know it could be ruined.:)
