Stardog, that blueberry was Mikenite69's late 90's blueberry sativa. If he ever comes back online I'll try my best to get her back. What a tasty effn plant that was. Never seen anything like it since. It was everything he said it was. Can still taste it now just thinking about it.

Nope, all's good Frank. I've been on a blueberry binge of sorts myself ever since HDN left a beautiful blueberry clone in my friends shop after he left. When I managed to push my friend into running it to maximum potential I was blown away by the quality. I'm fairly certain the cut came from Money Mike. Since I'd never run any blueberry at all I started with G-mans Glue X Digiberry F2 and the Nevs Blueberry. Both sets of seeds produced great plants. I would prefer to find another blueberry male to cross to the Glueberry but it might be awhile so while I'm taking pollen from the Valley BX's I might as well hit the Glueberry, what's the worst that could happen?:)
I gave my big Nevs Blueberry mom to my friend and he just ran it into the ground. The plant looked like it had been watered with bleach. Then he told me it had no potency. I know he'll never come here and read this because reading hurts his head but he's about the worst grower I know or have ever known, it's a miracle he survives. Worst part is that he has the space, the power and equipment to crush it but I think he has severe ADD and he can never focus on anything for too long. The outdoor I'm helping him with though is on fire but if I hadn't directed it things would be different. He has no idea about plant finish times, latitude etc, etc, after over 20 yrs of growing he still needs me to sex his plants...If he wasn't my friend I'd kill him.:tiphat:

If the blueberry cut came from $m, then it is O's pre-'99 Blueberry sativa. Also called the Blipper aka Jack the Ripper, for various reasons. It's a pretty sought after cut and one still held in F.A.M.

Not sure about G-man's Glue x DigiBerry F2 reference. Going to have to do some digging I guess. Is this the "Glueberry" line you are referencing holding a mom from? (**edit** He used a male from VG's BDB F2 line - got a PM from him)

Things got a bit confusing when I shared pollen with VerdantGreen to preserve his VERY sativa Dutch Passion fem exotic foxtailing Blueberry mom. He made Blueberry x Digi Bx1 - then F2'ed, released seeds calling them BlueDigiBerry F2 or BDB F2.

My own release of Carolina Blue (Blue Sat. 2.2 x Grape Krush) x Digi Bx1 - certainly didn't help. Although CBDB is a bit easier to discern.

I'm a genetic nerd, everyone knows this about me, so when I see a mentioning of Digi now, I have to ask for specifics because I'd love to help point people towards the right expressions for extreme blueberry terp profiles. That aside, a Digi dominant plant is SUPER easy to find because it's a dead give away on a stem rub. It really is that pronounced.

I'm back on the hunt myself for a new blueberry mom from the Digi Bx2 generation. I'm after meds. I need that anti-anxiety, introspective discovery something major in my life currently. Been crazy busy in "the real world" and need an anchor. Digi gene pool has been that default cannabis line for me for nearly a decade now, and I don't see that changing. It really is just the perfect synergy for my endocannabionoid system.

If a special male surfaces, I know what to do with the pollen. :joint:

Thanks for nailing that one down Scrappy, I've been known to mix up names forever but a face, I'll never forget.:) I wouldn't have started this whole "project" if I hadn't seen that plant in it's prime. My buddy hated it at first then I stuck it into a 50/50 coco/perlite mix for him and set it in a good spot. What a plant that was!! I'd smoked and seen some blueberry way back in the early 90's with some wookies from Ft Collins, I was so unimpressed that I've avoided it ever since.
I had to go in and defoliate/ tie up my giant Orange Kush yesterday and I had to pull out this Nevs Blue x Lucy in order to get in. What you see in the background is called "organized chaos". This is the time of year I change everything so I was soaking rockwool slabs, trimming, cloning, blah, blah, blah...:)
Frank I'd love to run some more of those Digi's you have. Can I just buy them on seedbay? I ran some Carolina Blue x KKSC from Philthy, great plants, super vigorous, massive tops and bottoms but the KKSC killed the potency I think. That was the first "elite" clone I ever had sent to me way back around 2002, we loved the taste but after a day or so you were looking for something else. Anyway, the Glue x DigiF2 thing I have is some awesome weed, no shit.:tiphat:

Rooted some sour d's and D-Kushes in rockwool and set them aside for a bit until I had the space to run them. They're small but have big root systems in the 3" cubes so a day or so after this pic they grew like crazy. The drippers will be set up today. It's really just an experiment to show my young grasshopper assistant how powerful a good sized slab can be. I think there are 6 sours and 6 D-Kushes so far and today I'll throw another slab in there for a bunch of SFV Bx3's I have on hugo blocks. I end up making a hell of a mess soaking the slabs...
I trimmed out the first sour grape x Nevs Blueberry. Came out fantastic and far exceeded my expectations giving me a real positive feeling about these Lucy crosses I just flipped.

Dude, that Lucy Blue looks gorgeous :) Dark leaves, strong branching. Just a real nice structure and color. I have a good feeling about that girl.

PS: your tray looks SPOTLESS.
Good job showing the acolyte how important that is to a healthy grow

hey mack10 when you smoke it you smell incense in the air....in mouth the taste is complex and hard to describe..... buds are hard rock even in the low branches and this is from chem sis from what I've read and also the resin production is just insane....so I think this cross is a good mix of both parents.....

Real nice work there StRa! How many seeds did you pop and what were the phenos like? I've got a couple packs of the chem's sis x nev's waiting to be sorted through, would be nice to see some other's experience with it as I haven't found too many online reports here aside from deep within this thread.

Great posts as always Stardog, keep 'em coming. :tiphat:

This chemdog unit has gone past my wildest expectations. There isn't one branch that's not bent over in some way from the weight of the flowers. It's day 62 and she's fading fast although there still seem to be lots of fresh pistils so I'll wait another 5 days or so. The fact that she's not been ravaged by PM or bugs is a miracle of sorts considering how closely packed she is.:)

The bottom end preparing to collapse. I'm going to have to squeeze in there and do something today before she ends up laying in the tray...:)

The last female sour grape cross went crazy when she hit the slab and had a dripper added. Whatever the reason the plants I have on drip always out grow the ones I hand water. I might have bit off more than I could chew when I filled this room...In 10 days it went from, ok no problem to, damn, what am I going to do with this place!!:tiphat:

The other side has this giant Orange Kush. I defoliated and cut out any larfy branches but you could never tell. This plant is such an animal. Today I'll bring in my SFV BX's and start working the males for pollen.

What's up with this Orange Kush. This the old, old cutting from an Oregon crew? Not orange in flavor, but only named such because of the vibrant hairs? Super indica and not modern "kush".

Just curious. It was something I was asking around about a couple years ago and believed it to be gone.

Frank it's orange in smell and indy in growth but a bit of a hybrid. She's crazy leafy during the first 25 days of 12/12 so I defoliate 2x, once @10 days and once @20 days. I think the Kush part came from maybe sealed packs of flowers that end up looking like an OG flower chunk or it has Hindu Kush blood in it's ancestry. Either way it's a plant that's hard not to love, even the toughest hater is going to be swayed by the smell alone...well maybe not the toughest hater, some people hate everything.:)
Switched the old back bathroom/eternal veg room back to a shitter with a view. Now that I have a veg tent in my cellar I'll just flower one big plant in the bathtub. It's a terrible mess in there but we're replacing the floors today...I hope.:tiphat:
I've posted this pic before but this is what my last Orange Kush looked like @ day 50 of 12/12. I would have loved to have run this one outdoors but we went with the sour grape instead based on past outdoor performance. I used to have a Sensi G-13/Hashplant that finished indoors in 45 days but outdoors it would still be going with 10" of snow on the ground, so I learned early on that fast indoors doesn't mean fast outdoors.;-)

HDN has to be one of the biggest pot snobs I ever have known. He'll turn his nose up at 99% of anything he comes across and I'll tell you what... He LOVES that orange kush! Said it's one of his new favorites. 'Very OG' I believe is what he said when I asked his impression how it smokes.

Not the "organe kush" I was seeking prior. Not to say it isn't worthy by any means, just something different. The one I was after, has a late 70's origin point. Was around still in CW days, but vanished mid 90's. It's not something I've ever had. Call it a bucket list strain. I do believe, as many others, she is gone.

I'd imagine, this new orange kush - might have some Hindu in her some place. I grew a couple packs of NuggetShiner Skush (Skunk#1 x Hindu Kush) x C99. Found a REALLY odd ball pheno in there. Most were a pinappley skunk. Like an ISS with pineapple. The odd pheno out, was a shorter, blocky, plant with dome topped flowers. Had massive three finger leaves, smoked way heavier than the light headed daytime c99 influenced plants. Had an orange creme sickle sort of taste with very very faint earthiness. I didn't think her a keeper, but I kept her for a couple runs just because she was different. Had too many other plants with superior effects.

The plant you guys are running looks and sounds better on all accounts. But - orange in a Hindu Kush line - entirely possible.

Yup, HDN is one hell of a pot snob. I'd say you want some GG#4? Nope. Stardawg? Nope. He always goes for the Valley, Lucy or hash plant. I'm stoked he likes the Orange, he's a great barometer for quality, you can't pass some half assed gear on him, not going to happen.:)
I hear ya' Frank on the good plants you find that just aren't quite good enough to keep around. That one above looks pretty good though. I use the SFV as a control when I'm testing plants for quality, potency etc. I would use my Lucy but I usually test a joint in the mornings and that wouldn't be a good idea, she's just to much of a day wrecker and I'd be off for a nap in an hour or two. I'd be interested on the true origins of the Orange Kush but I think the info has probably slipped away so I can only speculate.
Having new plants, making new hybrids etc is really my main interest. I remember Nuggetshiner's crosses from way back. He had a SSH cross that lit up the boards for awhile. When I first found the internet canna scene I was still pretty green about buying seeds and breeding great plants of my own that could match Sensi or Mr Nice etc because at the time I was still scared from the "green merchant" thing and had been laying real low for 15 yrs. My mom was really stoked to see the DEA show up at her house...I'd used her credit card to buy my first lamps and luckily I was long gone and nothing ever came of it. My wonderful uncle Bill the cop told her to turn me in for my own good so I could go to rehab and straighten up early. HaHaHaHaHa...:tiphat: They had rehab for weed back then...maybe they still do??

Day 65 of 12/12 for the giant Chemdog. I was going to cut her down tomorrow but the amount of fresh pistils has me wondering if I should go to 70 days on this one. There's just so much flower on this plant I want it to be "perfect" but there's likely no such thing...:)
What do you think? She won't die or anything.

I have two clones of the most vigorous of the Nevs Blueberry x Lucy. I flipped this one yesterday and saved the other as a mom. Still working on fixing the floor in here but my vehicle's been in the shop so I couldn't go out and buy supplies but it's chilling down pretty fast around here and this floor has some serious issues from years of abuse.:)
