hey alpha:
first one: i'm using 6×18 W flouros for keeping them in veg, and being able to produce ~10 clones/mom in 3-4 weeks after fertilizing em
second: this time i did that intentionally yes because i modified the system and i didn't know how the girls will grow, and ofcourse they've overgrown my space there, that's why i keeped the lower buds to help em cut on the stretch. but in general i do trim the lower growth very often and keep only 40 cm of tight buddage.
this time i started my grow with unrooted clones, hoping that they'll root in the buckets, well they did after the transplant shock and that lasted for 3 fucking weeks or more i don't know i lost track.....
anyway, the little dreamwavers seem to be getting their roots now, but i also introduced some new fresh rooted clones of NPP from a friend of mine. they seem to be perking up very fast as it is their 4th day in the system and they already grow new roots.
all togheter, i also gave the roots a new sun-shield as you can see, the paint was crumbling and did not do it's job.
one of the four DW8's that started to root on me since monday, and all 4 from the top
the new purple power, some new phenos that my friend grew the past few months, unknown phenos
the horizontal root growth is all new
let's hope in a week things will get even better, i suspect that i didn't let the solution sit long enough only a week or so, so maybe the b.bacteria is starting to kick in now, because the new clones were up and growing in less then 3 days...i don't know, but i guess so
as i was saying, b.bacteria has started to kick in, i also tried using tap water again(ro unit uses a lot of water) and it works great so far, as long as i let the chlorine dissolve, thank you big-toke
just wanted to show you the progress i'm seeing
this is after 3 days since the last photo update
EC: 1.07
pH: 5.95
the plot...now and 3 days ago
NPP babes
roots of them babes
what about dw?let's see...
roots...
well they should go in flower in about a week, and they'll get a screen above
i hope i won't be starving too long untill they gimme some
me and my plants salute you
g'day,i just read your thread,be interesting how much you get this time,1/2 pound last time,id be pretty happy too,i will finally have my first dwc setup goin next week seems alot easier than the gully system i use to have, had that for 10yrs with no probs until some skinhead nazi's moved next door and decided they liked it more than me,so this time i got a carbon filter, shouldnt have been so tight and invested in one earlier wouldve saved a lot of trouble and the hassle of moving, good luck i will be following your thread
chief, thanks for the compliments, stay by, maybe u'll share another one with me
tree: no problem, i like pizza too yes i've been off today for the whole day and when i looked now they've got f... big in one day!
kiwi:yeah neighbours can be a problem, i once had leak in my system and it flooeded my bedroom in the old appartment, the water dripped on my neighbours bed bellow at 2 am...imagine the scene and shock you know, safety first as u said it
stick around and good luck to you too!
p.s.
note to myself
objectives:
-use of lower ECs
-shorter veg. time
-use ONLY PK at the ending
-daily top off with fresh water
- highering pH means less H+ ions and more HO- ions, meaning, more or less, add water if the ECs go up, add some nutes if ECs go down
-clean the water filter regulary(every 2 weeks at least) - restricted flow
-add enzymes every 14 days or so(depending on the growth stage)
-blowing over the tops makes them grow smaller(reducing the stretch)
time for a little update, they are now on their 3rd day of 14/10 and going on 12/12 tomorrow, they already began to stretch a little, let me show you...
and i also found out which pheno of NPP is it, it's an old mate NPP#2, very nice dense and strong plant..can't wait!
so here they are
the screen is filling up much better then last grow since i've put the girls more apart so they don't quarrel, as you can see in the middle there are 3 DW#8's that are alive and kickin' pretty good
the roots have gone even crazier then before, might be true that those lava rocks have a positive effect along with lower ECs.
EC 1.22
pH 6.2
..and a week ago..
stem collection, DW(first picture) as being mostly indica has still got a stronger stem, even though she was far less vital then NPP(60/40 mix)
massive prunning was needed to keep em this way, specialy DW was thick in nodes
i took some shots of roots on 24th, but after the veg stage i usually don't like to touch the roots anymore, so rootporn will take place on the end of the grow, but a few scrubs for today...
i will report after the stretch is over, so see you in a week, feel free to comment!
i did some modifications on the lighting, i made a heat spreader, and i can lower the light now for additional 10-15 cm's(~7'). and since i had a little sheet of al-metal i made some bat wings, works good so far.
they've stretched a little(perfect for now) and i've noticed preflowers today, the stretch is really slow comparing to what i've seen before, i bet it was too much ferts, cos i'm really feeding them easy this time...EC is 1.28 now, before i used 1.5 at this stage
some wicked bondage, one string/plant only
and the roots...man..the roots are crazy, they'r crawling out of the bucket on the edges 100% white healthy roots, i must say...well done little fellas bacterias! i couldn't resist and i took two shots of them beauties...
Hiya scegy!! great thread my brotha! you have got some beautifull roots there and what else can come from roots like that but............BIG FAT BUDS!!!!
as USUALLY i've vegged them too long, and yesterday i decieded if they grow another 5cms over night i'll cut them down TODAY! ...so i did, i removed ~50% of foliage, gonna be a lot of smaller buds, well if they stop stretching i'll be glad i did this....else...hm, gonna chop my lawn and smoke it!
here you are................
this one is from yesterday and these are after today's pruning
...imagine a bigger, brighter place...
hurt's like hell when you have to chop those big colas that were forming
well, let's observe how the weed grows on me in the following days...good day
He He He!! Howdy scegy! Damn bro!!! Its like cannabis basket weaving 101, just goes to show ya its all in the roots eh? Well no matter what dude you obviously got your nutes and everything else wired, now its just a matter if keeping it all in ckeck! Why dont you look into some afghanis' or somethin with a bit less stretch, shat man other than that your kickin some serious ass!! Woooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooo !!!!
I have some thin you might wanna try, but it takes 60 to 75 days to finish but very little stretch, not to mention big fat sticky buds!!!
heeeeeey bonzooo!!! GROWbuddy, always very glad to see you!
hehe yes i have some serious bushes there, you'r right if you see asskicking roots, you'll eventually see asssmoking buds!
it's not the plant, it's the man that didn't grew it well....hhehe...true though
did i heard the words sticky buds?? u bet i am, i could have something interesting 4 ya too buddy
dude i must confess, i've been so f... busy lately with my life and my head, haven't been to a meeting for 2 months now i think, well the last time i was i got something straight from my brain and back to my face, and i've been chewing on it ever since.
kind off feel that i must go over this by myself not burdening others, BUT the important thing is that i feel like i'm standing firmly on the ground and i know and feel that I AM CAPABLE.
so, let's go to the green side of me shall we?
i think u'r gonna love a few photosopped cropped buds later on,but first let's see my NEW carbon filter(square edition)-finally took the time to finish it...damn you school!naah...just kidding
isn't he pretty?
i still hope for a 0,75 g/W even though it doesn't look so sweet from here hehe
let's see some closeups, first one is:
NPP #1 !!!!!! or was it no.2? yummy.. ....
some more..
and finally but not the last, DW#8 which, i think is the best pheno of dreamweavers i've seen so far, tight, greasy and small as a plant...so this is a success for me, i've got 2 new indica varieties in my mother's choice and by that, 3 killer phenos, bmr 1 and 3, and now DW 8, SWEET!
mmmmm....can't wait to smoke that shit!!!!!!
i noticed some speeding up in the budding proccess, and it showed in a matter of EC's too
yesterday 10 am
EC 1.31 (added more nutes then water) raised it to 1.35
pH 6.5
today 10 am
EC 1.32
pH 6.6 ----> aha! EC dropped, ph raised, meaning more nutes needed! gonna gradually raise it to 1.4 by the end of this week
looks like i'm gonna have something really nice to smoke this time, after all the shit that took place again life is a struggle, even if you'r a plant hehe
p.s.
bonzo, u must tell us, how is the red purple smoke of yours? what was the final weight?
p.s.#2
i peeked at the roots after a long time and my my....can't wait to show you at the end when i lift them out of the water
