The thing about legalization that has always bothered me is that the state sees this as a money making opportunity and comes from that point of view. Back in the 70s I never wanted legalization. I've always preferred decriminalization because then there is no money revenue when the state isn't looking to profit from legalization.

I can tell you that I liked it better in colorado before legalization when it was medical... it was left more alone than now.

Since A64 passed its been a long string of new and in some cases, contradictory laws. (as well as city ordinances)

For instance, we've always had "constructive impairment"
(get out, walk line, touch nose, are you functionally impaired?)

...but now we have a 5 nanogram per liter of blood DUI limit.

so you can be completely functional, yet still get a DUI if you're a heavy smoker with a upper threshold on your tolerance...

and I'm probably at 5 nanograms during my sleep

here is mine:

and here is the other one that is showing a bit of variegation too

I made hash for the first time last week too. this is a pic of my 73 from my Samsara spicey white devil.

in all i did up nearly 2.5 bows of mostly old but some newer trim & larf into hash

I'm happy to see that the variegation does move through to the seedlings at what seems to be relatively common. I found a variegated in the seeds I popped (but tossed her) and now you've found one too. I bet if you had a male showing the variegation and a female showing it and went F2s on them you'd begin to stabilize the variegation.

Sweet looking hash there. I bet is tastes so nice.

I've given up on compliance... If I got a knock on my door, I'd go running with shears first before I opened the door.

theres no way I can do a pheno hunt and keep male clones with the current restrictions, so I ignore them.

I'm almost over count just with male clones I'm keeping.

That's what seems to happen when the state legalizes the herb. They go about it just so stupidly. Marijuana has been around since almost forever. When the government made it illegal it didn't go away. What happened is you had much of it smuggled in during the 60s and early 70s. Then you got guys like myself who hated that whole scene and decided to learn to grow this so I would have a steady, reliable source of quality herb. I never was commercial and never will be with the current laws. Now the state gets involved and makes up all these rules and regulations in order to make their taxes. Does that stop this ongoing illegal operation. No it doesn't because the marijuana dealers are still selling to the customer base they've had for years.

The states would have been much better off to just open it up to anyone and provide a clearing house to let those illegal growers bring their product to the state. I think that those illegal growers would much rather sell they buds legally then take the risk of getting busted and going to prison.

If the states did that they would make much more in tax revenue because those illegal sellers would now be selling to the state and the state could collect the taxes. As it is now there are so many hoops to jump through in order to grow for the recreational market that makes it more attractive to stay illegal.

I know that I would love to grow marijuana for the state. I've been doing this for such a long time that not many have the experience that I do. My bud is clean and top quality. I'm sure there could be a very good market for Pakalolo's Cellar brand of buds.

Yes, leave me alone but I would willing sell through the state's recreational market and let them collect the taxes and I would pay income tax to the feds. Instead we've got this.

That's what has happened here is Washington. The are changing the medical rules and forcing you to buy from the recreational stores. I will never buy from those places because I have no idea how it was grown. I know my buds are clean and haven't been exposed to chemical pesticides or fungicides. I use natural methods but I'm sure that the recreational market is using lots of chemical compounds to keep their buds free of bugs and molds. I don't know how they could not be doing that here in the PNW. I remember talking to a grower for medical and they used lots of sprays to try and control the problems we all face. He even said they had a spider mite infestation that was so bad they had to pull the whole crop. Now how clean do you think they were after that. Don't you think they used massive amounts of chemicals to clean they areas? Why would I ever buy from them.

Enough of the ranting, to be truthful I never thought in my wildest dreams that marijuana ever as poorly managed as it is by the states would be legal.

I don't think I could past the blood test if I quit smoking for a whole month. I can smoke 3 joints of my quality and still not be wasted. I've been in training for a long, long time.

pak for president!

I'm way too liberal/progressive to make it to the presidency. Besides unlike President Clinton I did inhale and unlike President Obama I continued to smoke the herb. You see in the early 70s when President Nixon declared war on drugs I became a volunteer in that effort. I hunted down as much marijuana as I could find or grow and burned it in small batches to make sure nothing but ash was left. It was the least that I could do for my country.

patriot & saint right there ~lolol

i'm still in disbelief that we can go to the store & buy pot. i'll be elated if the 6 plant thing goes through too. never thought i'd see it/figured the system was broke.

rich keep getting richer but what the hell, as long as i can smoke w/o fear that's a huge freedom. maybe we should be able to take it for granted? idk but, i don;t

These are strange times in which we find ourselves. I live with a healthy amount of fear for growing what is a small amount of personal mmj ... man im looking forward to the future and the end of prohibition.

I never thought that I would be able to carry around a few joints and not worry about getting arrested. I thought it was a huge improvement when they reduced small amounts of marijuana to a fine and a day in jail. Now you need to be concerned about DUI situations but I don't smoke and drive but I doubt if my blood level could pass even if I'm not smoking.

Here's hoping more states come around and the states that have recreational get their act together and not make such tremendous hurtles to participate in the growing and selling of marijuana.

I haven't been putting up too many pictures lately and reason is I'm growing the same cultivars that I've shown. I feel that posting the clones gets to be redundant. I shown what I have and how the plants look and how the buds fatten up. It would just be more of the same.

When I have something new to show then I'll put up pictures and it just so happens that I do have something new to show. I have been fortunate enough to have these ladies show up in my cellar. In the teenage area I have this one.

Down in the tweener area I have this one.

I'm interested in the Gooey crosses but I know the Goblin Scepter is good too. Not all that are popped turn out as well but I won't take cuttings just in case something special emerges. Thanks for the support you guys have given.

Today I started my next pheno hunt. Even though it is one of my breeding and I could have a subjective bias but at the moment my favorite girl is 3M. I have crossed her with her father, Eminem, and with the other old male, MTV. So I'm soaking between kleenex about 10-15 seeds of each. The grandmother of 3M was an indica lady for southern Mexico but 3M has a strong sativa look to her. I'll be interested to see what characteristics these seeds produce.

I put 16 3M x Eminem seeds (now named 4M) in between some wet tissue paper and got all 16 to pop. With those I have 12 3M x MTV and all of them have popped. I've had these in my refrigerator since April 2015. They seem to be very viable keeping them that way.

I put them in some ProMix but they were still wearing their helmets. The 4M I did that 2 days ago and a few are popped up and showing that nice green. 3M x MTV (I'm naming 3MTV) were put into the soil today. So the 4M got into the soil 4 days after soaking and 3MTV took 6 days to put into soil.
