I started soaking my pheno hunt seeds on January 8 and put them into clear cups by January 14. Today I transplanted them into 4" pots. I ended up with 10 4M and 7 3MTV, Now the long wait to see what I have found if anything.,

you say "long wait" but those plants are progressing quite rapidly

It'll be about 5 months before I harvest these. I may speed it up some but not by much. I really liked 3M so I'm anxious to see what these seeds turn out. I guess my impatience is showing.

I've always used clear 12 ounce cups for seedlings and cuttings. I drill 4 holes on the bottom edge. I drill another hole in the middle of the bottom and write cultivar names on them with a felt pen. When I start seeing roots I transplant them into 4" pots. I wash them out and reuse them. It's cheap and easy. I use ProMix for the medium in the cups. I tried making my own medium but found I was more successful with ProMix.

I'm sure many of you have noticed that I haven't been posting much lately. The reason is I'm growing the same cultivars for the last year or so and next crop looks like the former crops. I've shown it more than once so I feel I'm just caught in a repetitive picture loop. I do have something new to show this time.

Yesterday I transplanted the pheno hunt plants into gallon pots. In a couple more weeks I should be able to start sexing them. All males will be eliminated.

I got all the teenagers moved to their flower areas and this made room for the next set of teenagers. I moved the 8 tweeners into the teenager area late yesterday just before lights turned off. This run will have Coot's Grail, Nocturnal, 3M, Blue Orca, Goblin Girl, Goblin Queen, 3Elders and Durbin Bubble. Durbin Bubble is in the front row on the left. She is ahead of the rest of them so I'm keeping her in the 2 gallon pot to slow her down. I'll be moving all of these to 5 gallons pots in 3-4 weeks.

Some of you may know that I'm always looking to add to my older genetic seed collection. I have been fortunate enough to come across two more of those old genetics. The first one is a cultivar named Jihad. Jihad is a cross between some '78 Afghani and the UofDub clone. The Uof Dub clone came from the University of Washington and is itself an Afghani cultivar. This should create some nice seeds when breed to my old males that are mainly Thai stick genetics. The other cultivar I got is named Afgooey. This is a cross an Afghani crossed to Maui Haze. Again this is an old cultivar that should get some interesting seeds when paired to my old males.

Jihad is on the left and Afgooey is on the right. I have 2 more cuttings that haven't rooted yet but they are old genetics too and different from these. When and if they root I'll be showing pictures of them.

I've heard that it's that crossing and also that it is a pheno of Zazen. Now Zazen is Blue Orca x NL#5/Neville’s Haze Bx1 according to Swami Organic Seeds.

I'm looking forward to seeing her flower under my 1000W MH. I just flipped her to 11 on and 13 off on February 13 so I have a bit of a wait.

I ran a zazen pheno. Not a true example of the line. Gas said it has great diversity in the Zazen line.

Running some of these doesn't lead me to believe they are similar.

Tall with strong stems, big leaaves and a great smell. Very resionus and with a citrus sage smell. They are a 4.5 weeks and they are looking to go 10 at least. Packing it on nicley with uniform popcirns up and down the stem.

They three I have are all very distinct smells and bud structure.

Nice to know someone else who has these "special" genes. The description I got was the are the most resinious flowers those ald timers have seen but very unruly. Not production herb, but fine smoke.
