My intro and bona fides...

Last week in another forum there were some posts about how I can sex plants at such any early stage of their development. I did my best to explain it by saying that males plants show spherical shape bumps and female plants are more elongated kind of like a tulip bud before it opens.

This allows everyone to imagine what I'm talking about. So for clarification I took some pictures, really closeup pictures, of what I'm looking for. I have to use a magnifying glass to see this and under the 1000W MH lights but it can be done.

Female

I hope that helps to clear up what you might have imagined. When you know what you're looking for it turns out to be easy to tell males from females. Those are tiny little structures but there is a big difference in how they look.

I'm going to hit those teenagers with an enzyme tea that I just started brewing. They have recovered nicely from being thirsty.

When I get back from the pool tournament I will be starting some more cuttings. Need to plant for this year's summer outdoor run.

Looking super.

Seedlings are chugging along. Getting ready to push their 2nd node. Tx'ing them next week.

It'll be fun to see what they do and put out!

I'll get some pictures up of the pheno hunt. Since I transplanted into 2 gallon pots they are taking off.

4 days ago I transplanted and moved the tweeners into the teenage area. They were very thirsty and look a little bedraggled. I gave them a little water in the saucer that day but on the next day they received a big drink of enzyme tea. This really brought them out of their funk.

I thought I would drop a couple of pictures of the pheno hunt area. All of them are in their teenage phase.

I'm going to be gone all next week playing pool so here is my last picture post until I get back. Things should be really exploding in the tweeners and teenagers areas. I don't like to be away from the girls but it is always a wow moment when you get home a check them out.

I'm going to show some of the pheno hunt plants. There seems to be two characteristics in their structure. Most of the leaves look the same but internodal spacing is different. One tends to be more stretchy than the other. So in most pictures I have one of each type.

Those leaves look a little skinner than mine.

When are you going to flip those?

Just tp'd from an 8" to a 3.5 gal when I took these pictures. Vegging it in that for a month or so. It was begging for leg room
Its a lot different than my other old goblin, showing no similarities whatsoever. Makes me wonder if I mislabeled it.

I've noticed some variation between same seeds. Remember that the father could be either Eminem or MTV. I've noticed at this early stage that some are short and squat and some are tall and lanky. That's all I can tell for now.
